    Black Garlic Ramen

I had a great experience! I work nearby so had been meaning to try this place out. Fair prices, clean restaurant, and great staff to work with. You can get a water cup and self-serve. When you go in, go up to the register to order. After ordering, you'll get a number to set at your table of choice to be served. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and it was SAVORY and very filling. The broth is rich and the pork is well cooked. Next time, I'll probably order extra egg or pork. I'm also curious about their Tonkatsu broth. Overall, great experience! Really looking forward to coming back for lunch

The black garlic ramen is good. The pork is quite big and you can choose spicy level which is great. Their service is quite minimal and you pay when you order foods, so you don't have to pay huge tips. Overall, it's great, but I wish they had more comprehensive menu options, because I was there for ramen, but they only had four options.

Loved it! I just wished the ramen was warmer, but over all nice service and good food. Best kimchi I've had!!!!

While browsing the area during a work trip we passed this location. I made a mental note to come back and visit. We decided to stop in the next day for lunch. Staff are super friendly and ordering was breeze. The shop is slightly open and airy which gives it a nice laid back ambiance. A nice spot for a work lunch. I opted for the Tonkostu Ramen and added Kimchi with a side of spring rolls. The ramen was super flavorful and the added Kimchi really hit the spot. The spring rolls was cooked just the way that I like them. We also shared an order of the Crab Rangoons and Chicken Karaage.

Quite surprised not many Japanese restaurants in the Central Business District offered unagi don. Sakura House did not have it, Oishii Ramen, Menya Ramen and Hapa Sushi also did not have it. Found only Kyoto Ramen and Poke Club had it. Since Kyoto Ramen was within a short walking distance, so it was my pick for lunch today. Compared to the traditional unagi don, besides the smoked eels, there were also a few poke bowl ingredients, such as tofu, peas, seaweed, avocado and ginger. The unagi sauce was rich and umami while the other ingredients complemented the taste, flavor and nutritiousness of the unagi don. Satisfied and would certainly come more often. Kyoto Ramen is right across the street from Chipotle.

Hot flavorful broth, no thrills place, the pork was a bit tough but had flavor, the noodles were great- just a little too soft in my opinion. I prefer kata over futsu. Overall, much better than Oishi around the corner.

Saw the sign for the Crab Rangoon's and Gyoza and decided to go in. We ordered 2 Crab Rangoons and one Gyoza. We can say this is the best of each of these we've ever eater. High highly recommend them!

FOOD Tuna Poke Bowl without Edamame, Tofu and Ginger - Overall really good. There is a good amount of sauce that makes the dish tasty. The ingredients are given in decent portion sizes for the price. And the tuna was pretty fresh and given decent sized chunks. VIBES Place is pretty spacious with plenty of seating from tables with chairs to more bench type seating. SERVICE The service was ok. It took around 30 to 35 minutes for the food to come out after we ordered for around six people. They also had no salmon :(

We were visiting Denver for a few days and tonight at 31 degrees and with snow flurries in the air, ramen was the perfect thing to have... we ordered the shoyu ramen and it was just ok... the soup needed a little bit more flavor and the noodle was a little soft... but adding a bit of the hot chili oil did the job... coming from Los Angeles with some of the best ramen outside of Tokyo , I can get a little critical.... It did warm us up enough tho.

Amazing service!! Clean establishment and delectable food. We came after a movie looking for some A/C and good food and we found it. Not being local to the area there were a ton of options but so glad we stopped in. We got the spicy edamame, chicken teriyaki, shrimp po boy and chicken ramen. They were all delicious but the ramen stole the show.

The vibe is fast and loud, but the servers are super efficient and communicative. I really liked the tokidoki roll and hamachikama. Hard to go wrong with those! The hamachi kama was HUGE. They give you the entier collar! I also liked the yaki ika which was very tasty, not rubbery at all. They have a lot of ramen on the menu which was a crowd pleaser for our group. Their edamame is also very spicy and quite good -- not your typical simply salted edamame. One thing I wouldn't order - the kimchi fried rice. One person in our party ordered it but it wasn't really fried rice, just kimchi and meat mixed with steamed white rice.

Very Japanese like feeling with knick knacks every where with banners, akachõchin. Sushi bar takes one side and also a small bar to the back. Drink menu featured several imported Japanese bottled beers on top of the common ones at reasonable price. Ended up getting the house salad, chicken yakitori, spicy tonkatsu ramen and yaki ika. All tasted good, no complaints. Spicy tonkatsu ramen had rich broth, chatsu was grilled and plenty. Repeat

Tonight, we sat at the bar and watched the magic happen. These guys are cranking out amazing and delectable treats you won't forget. The Uncle salad was a great starter with charred cabbage, lemongrass, mint, cilantro, arugula, and peanuts lightly coated in a Thai coconut dressing. A slight burn only leaving you to crave just one more bite, ha! The fried soft shell crab in a bao bun with green papayo slaw, coconut mayo and cilantro nam prik was sweet, perfect crunch and memorable. Two for two with one dish left. The cold spicy sesame noodles with seasoned chicken, granny Smith apple slivers, arugula, cashews and nanami togorashi, a perfect closing dish for an exceptional meal. The service, food quality, flavors and preformance from the bar seats were second to none. The concept, portion size, flavor and cost were a real treat in the big city food scene of Denver. If you haven't been here yet, get to the internet and book a table, I promise you won't regret it. What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

In general, it's been a laid back, go-to place to get a meal that will be much better than average for the price. I've been many times since before and after COVID, and it was one of my favorite repeatable spots in Denver. However, the crew totally dropped the ball with our visit today. My wife ordered a tonkatsu ramen and got a chicken tonkatsu set instead (chicken cutlet, not bowl of ramen). To not make it weird, we just let that one be for the greater good of the table because it was our anniversary, grandparents were visiting, and we are here often. Our hamachi kama (one of my favorite dishes in the entire city, normally something I'd highly recommend on this review) was never sent to the kitchen, leaving us waiting for over an hour with two young kids at the table who had finished 40 minutes before. I watched the staff's confusion from my seat, even after we had been told that it was on its way. It was never even started, and it was obvious. That stuff happens, but it's hard to hide what happened in an open kitchen where you can hear what people are saying. But then after they had the "oh crap" moment, it wasn't even expedited. It was gonna take so long that it wasn't worth getting, so two people had to leave our not-busy lunch without getting the main thing we brought them to Ototo for. We were asked to wait for the dish, waited 15 more minutes, and it was not even close to ready. And while I appreciated the apology, the manager initially just tried to "take the dish off the bill," a dish we never received. So he basically tried to do nothing because no restaurant would charge for something that never came out. After I pointed this out, they took off part of the check, but that attempt at nothing under the guise of a comp was crazy. I've easily spent thousands at Ototo over the years. I've sent tons of people to Kizaki, Temaki Den, and the others. This will probably be the last time I go to Ototo. If you read some of the recent bad reviews, something is not working here anymore. I hope the otherwise amazing service at the other Dens can find its way back to Ototo.
