I hadn't gone out for ramen in a while. The only spots I liked took a visit to China town. I had had been seeing this spot appear on Instagram a bunch and was intrigued that they had omurice. They are located on Eastern in a shopping center that is starting to get a big Asian presence, which is pretty exciting. When you enter, it's super modern and very photo worthy with how they created multilevel honey comb pods, an artistic tree, side booths that are more private etc. It was a Monday night and we got seated within a few minutes of arrival. They brought us to the back of the restaurant, close to their prep station . I'm assuming because we had a sleeping baby they took us straight there instead of asking our preference. Interesting thing is the front of house felt much cooler than towards the back where we sat. I run cold so this was a good thing. One thing I noticed that I would hope they might look into, when I entered the first smell that hit me was not magical food, but the cleaning products they use. I am a firm believer that cleaning products should not have a scent that competes with your senses while dining. Also their overhead lighting is a bit intense depending on where you sit. I had to sit in the chair on the left side of the table because the light above was so strong I felt like I needed sun glasses, it also was not a flattering light. I'm sorry to anyone on a date for the first time trying to look their best haha or someone who has sensory challenges. The menus were large with pictures, very easy to read and navigate. They have several options for combos with different appetizers and dessert added to the meal. They also have lots of fun fruit, milk tea, and smoothie options with different toppings to add. I got the lychee lime tea 50 percent sweet with crystal boba, and mixed fruit jelly. For my meal I got their tonkatsu shoyu ramen with no nori, and my fiance and I shared the ominirice with curry and had the Sakura jelly pair with it, and also the garlic chili edamame. They have lots of condiments on the table clearly labeled and kept very clean to add to your dishes if you want to adjust taste. This was my first time trying omurice and wow it was amazing! They presented it beautifully slicing into it table side unfurling the egg and then pouring the curry on topbfor us. The fried rice under it was so flavorful as well, and I really enjoyed their curry sauce. They also give you another sauce option if you are not interested in curry The tonkotsu shoyu ramen was a nice comforting meal, and overall was on point. They have a promotion where if you finish your soup you can potentially unvale a free food item for your next visit if their is a special message at the bottom. I was not able to totally drink all the broth to accomplish this since I was also sharing other food items. The chili garlic edamame was ok , not my favorite version of that dish though. The lychee lime tea was so refreshing and the perfect balance of the two flavors. I feel the 50 percent sweet was perfect since I added both the mixed fruit jelly and crystal boba. The Sakura jelly was a new item I had not tried before. It was light, bouncy, with a subtle flavor and sweetness. Overall the meal really hit the spot overall. I would honestly even go in just to grab a drink if I'm on the go, the are a serious competition to the boba shops near by. I just hope they take a second look at those spot lights above the tables so they aren't so jarring and look into a cleaner that isn't so smelly. read more

Kyuramen Henderson is a spacious, visually fun spot with ample parking, which already makes it an easy visit. It's a dual-concept location shared with Tbaar, so you get both ramen and drinks under one roof. I came during their soft opening, before the foodie crowd fully caught on, and ended up visiting three times with different groups -- once during peak dinner, once in the final hour of the night, and once right when they opened. During those soft opening visits, service was genuinely pleasant and attentive across all time slots, which stood out. I've since heard mixed feedback about service after the grand opening, but my experiences early on were smooth. The ramen combo (entrée + side + dessert) is where the value really is. Food-wise, things were solid but not mind-blowing. The omurice looks great presentation-wise, though it cools down surprisingly fast if it sits for more than a few minutes. Dessert options like the matcha pudding and sakura jelly feel more like first-time novelties than something you'd reorder regularly. I did enjoy the matcha tiramisu, though it's not included in the combo. The karaage was fairly tender, the gyoza was fine, and the drinks overall were average. What really makes Kyuramen worth checking out -- especially the first time -- is the experience. The honeycomb booths, cage-style seating, and private oriental booths in the back are fun and memorable. Each table has a service button, which is a nice touch and keeps things efficient without needing to flag someone down. Restrooms were clean enough when I went. There's also a playful interactive element where servers sometimes remind you to write or draw on wooden plaques, which then get hung on a large wishing tree that extends up toward the ceiling. It adds to the themed atmosphere if you catch it. Would I go again? Probably, especially to bring someone who hasn't been yet. It's not my favorite ramen spot, but it's trendy, well-designed, and enjoyable for the experience. One bonus tip: if you order ramen, check the bottom of the bowl -- you might score a freebie. Our first time here and it exceeded expectations. Ambiance was really nice. Love how it's spacious and aesthetically pleasing. We got the tonkatsu ramen (white and black garlic oil) and popcorn chicken. The food is delicious and the portions are good too. We went on Wednesday at 2pm and it was not busy at all. So if you are wanting to try this place out, go on Tuesday or Wednesday. Evan, our server, is incredibly kind, attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We also got help from one of the girls (our fault for not getting her name) and she provided amazing service as well. (She has a septum ring and would want to shout her out ) Evan came back with a matcha tiramisu for my birthday (such a special treat). Def recommend this place. read more

With winter making a delayed comeback to the Las Vegas area I was on the hunt for some ramen, and seeing Kyuramen on Instagram and Yelp, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the supreme combo which was $26.99. You get a steamed pork bao bun, tonkotsu ramen, matcha pudding with red bean, and a Thai iced tea. All I have to say is that everything I tried makes me want to return again. The bao bun was nicely steamed where the bun itself was moist but not soggy and the pork itself was juicy. The slaw inside had a tasty dressing. With the ramen you can choose white garlic or black garlic and I chose the black garlic. The ramen was perfectly portioned to where you will leave satisfied. If you're able to eat all of your ramen look at the bottom of the bowl because you may win a prize. I won a free Thai iced tea or lemonade for my next visit. The matcha pudding was delicious. The pudding itself has that classic matcha flavor while the red bean provides the sweetness. The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated to where it gives you that vibe like you're in Japan and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spicy miso packed some heat for medium and the curry katsu ramen was liked very much. It wasn't heavy curry and had a about 5 pieces of katsu on top. Pricing was reasonable. Visited on a Friday night at 5pm. The entire party needs to be present in order for them to seat you. It is connected with the Tbaar that serves boba drinks + lemonade. I ordered the #1 tonkotsu ramen with white garlic. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. The noodles did not seem fresh , they were fair in chewiness & texture. But overall, the broth & the chasu was flavorful. They have a classic Japanese omurice with fried rice and an omelet type egg that they cut open and pour a demi-glaze gravy over served with pork katsu. This is definitely shareable. I liked how fancy this ramen restaurant is from the aesthetic pleasing seats/booths to the eye-appealing menu. The chopsticks were good quality (not the disposable wooden chopsticks I'm used to at other ramen places). They also provide you with a nice hand towel with the check. I need to emphasis the great customer service. The server that brought out the food was kind enough to take our group photo. Our server was Evan. He was very helpful and attentive. He double checked with us after the food was brought out, to make sure nothing was missing. He made sure to always refill our drinks. They have a slurp and win giveaway. I love their ambiance, their decorations and their menu design. Everything is very tailored to the younger aesthetics. Very uniformed with their other locations. Each corner is good for photo ops. The presentation of food and utensils are also standardized. The taste of the food itself to be is slightly lacking. It is a good price if you order the combo meals. The prices do not match the quality. A lot of restaurants from Chinatown seem to be opening up in Henderson with limited menus. What you see on the menu on the Internet is not what they serve.. Our waiter was horrific, did not come by once in 2 1/2 hours to offer more water. We had to actually wait a half hour to get our check. Maybe that's acceptable up in Chinatown but it's not acceptable in Henderson at all very disappointed and I am heartbroken to leave a one star review but it is what it is. The interior of the restaurant is what originally made me want to try this ramen place. I had the yin yang bowl which comes with tonkotsu and miso half & half. Their tonkotsu broth was actually very good, it's creamy with the flavors blended in well. The miso however was terrible. It almost tasted like Chinese soup/herbs. Definitely doesn't come close to Sapporo miso. The omurice wasn't bad with curry, but not the best either. But I have to give it an A+ for presentation and the effort it takes to cook it. I came here specifically to try the omurice after seeing it online. I ordered the version with the katsu. They come out and present it to you so that you can see them slice the undercooked egg over the fried rice then pour the demi glace to your liking, which is the real draw of this dish. The katsu was terrible - it was thin, dry, and tasted like it was sitting out for a while, not freshly made. The chicken fried rice was definitely mid and nothing memorable.. The decor is definitely trendy and setup for the social media stuff but I personally was not a fan especially with the k pop soundtrack blasting.. The service was good enough. read more

I've seen this dining area on social media but I didn't know I'd see it here. It was a blind serendipitous discovery. The restaurant is pretty big but if you wanted to sit in the iconic honeycomb structure it is very limited. We got lucky to be seated inside of the bottom honeycomb spaces that could fit up to 6. Anything higher up seats for smaller parties. Everyone was friendly. Our drinks were always refilled without asking. There's also a button to request assistance but we never needed it. Faith really took care of us and was attentive the whole time. I ordered the classic Japanese Omurice with Demi Glaze sauce which was my first time trying this dish. Definitely recommend this. It also comes with dessert which includes your choice of Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly or Matcha pudding. The Cherry blossom jelly was very refreshing. I also ordered a delicious Pork Bao. We tried their white garlic ramen, the aromatics of the garlic was amazing. It had. Lighter broth than black garlic but still good. It's a fun place but I thought the ramen needs improvement. From the outside, it doesn't look like "fun" but once you enter you, you will be wowed with the the interior design and decorations. I have the ying/yang ramen bowl. While the meat, the soft-boiled egg, shrimp tempura and zucchini skewer were all tasty, the soup was just lukewarm . It's kind of big No-No for ramen and Asian style food. My friends ramen bowls had the same problem. Although the noodle is not handmade and it's not the traditional thick Japanese ramen doodle I was hoping to get, I enjoyed it in general. We liked the dessert: cherry blossom jelly, matcha pudding with red beans and boba tea with cheese foam. The bobas and tea were fantastic, but the cheese foam was too watery and not enough. Overall, it's a decent enough place that I might come back. If I do and if the soup is not hot enough, I will definitely ask them to heat it up for me. read more

Oh man, this place is so popular there is a line when they open at 11am, but it's worth it. The broth is so rich it will take your fine lines and wrinkles away with a spoonful. Ramen noodles have a perfect chew and slurp and appetizers are wonderful! Don't forget the lemonade and dessert. Even if you are stuffed full, try a cherry blossom jelly as it isn't too sweet and it's light enough to be a perfect ending to your meal. Will definitely be back for the omurice. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did. The classic omurice was actually really good and probably the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the beef ramen was a big disappointment. The steak was extremely overcooked and chewy. We mentioned it to our server, and he kindly brought out new steak for both bowls. However, when he returned, he already apologized and said it was overcooked again--which it definitely was. We tried to eat it but couldn't. When the table was cleared, it was obvious the steak hadn't been touched, but no one followed up or seemed to care. We went around 1pm for lunch they were pretty busy but only had a 10 min wait! We sat down our table was set with waters and high chair for me baby! Server came by and she was able to answer all of our questions especially ones that we're dealing with allergies for my baby! Next was the spring rolls, which was pretty good love the crunch, and the dipping sauce came with. I loved that they had the Ying and Yang version which made it possible for me to try two different soup bases for one! Love the interior design of the restaurant! Very unique and cozy. Hosts greet you with a smile and the servers are all attentive and polite. There's even a bell for service for when you need it. Omelette rice w/katsu was very good. Katsu had a nice crunch on the outside and moist pork on the inside, and the eggs were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of kick on the sauce. Popcorn chicken was average (tastes like the ones that are sold in boba restaurants in LA). Only real complaint we had was with the ramen. For a restaurant with "ramen" as part of their name, it wasn't that good. Broth is everything in a good ramen, and it was very disappointing. We would go back for the omelette rice and ambiance. Maybe give ramen one more try (different style), but I don't see it changing our minds. read more

If you set aside the wait time because this place is new and blew up in social media, the food itself was actually very tasty and pretty reasonably priced. You can essentially combo any bowl of ramen with a pork bun and a Thai tea, both of which I enjoyed. The Thai tea wasn't overly sweet but balanced well. The ramen itself was a good portion. Not huge, but the add ins for more noodles and meat aren't too expensive. My wife and I each got a bowl with extra meat and noodles to share with our son. I wish they had a kid sized bowl on the menu but this solution worked fine for us. The fried oyster and gyiza appetizers were bomb as well. There's a boba place attached that you can get at your table as well. Overall a great experience. read more

I very much enjoyed my experience at this new restaurant in Henderson (just be ready for a long wait time). My friends and I waited for almost 2 hours but, once we were seated, the staff were nice and efficient. We ordered all the menu favorites: spicy dumplings, ramen, and the coveted omurice. The combo meals are worth the price as they include a little side salad and desserts made in-house. The owner was very excited to present us with both the matcha panna cotta and Sakura jelly (mizu mochi). Aside from the food, the restaurant is well-lit, sticks to a traditional Japanese-themed decor, and has various table set-ups throughout with some elevated on a second floor. It's our first time trying this location. The other location I tried is in Arcadia (California). Our server tonight was Sean D. Although it was very busy he spent the time to explain the menu to us in detail, offering us his favorite and most popular items. He's very attentive and fast. We never felt rushed even though it was closer to closing time. He was very professional and courteous from beginning to end. The food quality and options were excellent and plentiful. Everything came out hot and fresh. Pricing is considered fair for today's standards. Our favorite was the chicken shoyu ramen, Agedashi tofu, and basil popcorn chicken (we think it's one of the best in town). The interior was modern, bright, and aesthetically designed with cute hexagonal and bird cage seating, which I definitely recommend if you get a chance to dine in. I was trying to get in this place for two days but the wait was 45+ mins. We finally decided to wait and try this new restaurant. When we first walked in, the restaurant was nicely decorated and the ambiance was beautiful. I believe they try to cramp too many tables together. I had got the tonkotsu ramen w/ black garlic. This was recommended by our super nice server. The broth of the ramen was very flavorful. However, the the temperature was not hot or warm at all. And I prefer my food to come out hot and fresh. The omurice with tonkatsu was very overhyped by me lol. I expected to be super amazing but the food all came out so room temperature. Which made the runny eggs not taste as good. The demi glazed sauce was great to put on the eggs thought. The tonkutsu was the only thing fried fresh. Most of it was yummy but one piece had a thick tendon or something, I couldn't chew it. Overall, the service was impeccable. The food can use a lot of improvement (temperature wise), and the ambiance of this restaurant was great. Very beautiful. But if I'm paying $18 for a bowl of ramen, I would want it to be piping hot and a bigger portion. Our bill came out to around $70 for all of the food. read more

This place is so pretty and the aesthetic is insane! Very great atmosphere and the staff were professional and polite. Food came out relatively fast. We ordered Takoyaki and it was 10/10. Their takoyaki seems to have the biggest piece of octopus in each bite compared to all the other Japanese restaurants in town. We also got the Classic Japanese Omurice Combo for the table. I have never tried this dish in Japan, unfortunately, so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! It was the best dish from our dinner. I'm usually not a fan of eggs but I loved the texture of the egg. The sauce they used to stir-fried the rice a bit was very tasty and not too salty. We got the matcha pudding with it and it was delicious as well. My friend actually hyped up their ramen, saying it's one of the best in town...but...I find them okay. The broth was just not aromatic enough. They are not bad but not the best. I also ordered us drinks from the attached TBAAR. Decent boba drinks place but super sweet! The ambiance inside is so cute and they made great space with the height of the place by adding seating spots in the honeycomb. I've been here 2 times now and everything I've eaten was amazing. Second time I came here, I went with my coworkers and we were a pretty large party. Very thankful for the staff for dealing with us and our chaotic gift exchange. The staff even gave us a goodie bag with little toys and squishies it was so cute! My favorite appetizer has to be the pan fried dumplings and my favorite entree was the omurice!
