About a month ago I went in again and had a lady named Pam do my shellac. She did a great job. I came in again a few weeks later and asked for her. She came and saw me and asked what color I want and then just left some dude to do my manicure instead!! She didn't explain that she had an appt w someone else or anything. And the guy who did them didn't really seem like he knew what he was doing. My cuticles look bad and the shellac application was very sloppy. The polish is "dry" but it feels like some of the under coats didn't dry properly so there's all these nicks and like creases in the polish. It's always a bad sign when they're constantly having to use acetone to "clean" when applying polish.

I've been coming here for years now and it never failed me! Whether if I'm getting my feet done or my hands; it's always the best! I love my new nails! I love how it's done. I got the ombré acrylic short coffin shape to top it off with matte top. Perfect for an everyday look and most definitely for a wedding!

Ive been coming to this place for 2 years and it would be my last time! Had the horrible experience when getting my pedicure i dont know what kind of tool the guy use to scrub my feet but it burn and cut me on both of my feet! Complain about it to the cashier and she just apply antibiotic and a bandaid not even a sorry! The first picture is how it looked when i show them the second picture is the next day i can barely walk! DONT COME TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT THEM TO HURT YOU!

Honestly I had the worst experience at this nail salon and will not be returning. I made an appointment online with Joe and wow he was so impolite and extremely rude. When I read the reviews I ignored them and Gosh I wish I didn't. He was really aggressive when moving my fingers and my hands. He also cut me twice because of how rough he was. I have never experienced this type of negative service EVER. Never again. Read the reviews please.

    Powder dip nails

I went in for a manicure and wanted shellac polish. I ended up with no manicure and powder dip on my own nails. The results were good but the guy made four of my fingers bleed. Since I needed a manicure desperately, my cuticles needed to be trimmed after he filed down my nails with the drill. I asked if he was going to trim the cuticles for me before he started dipping my nails and he said he would do it at the very end. He made my pinky bleed with the drill and made three other fingers bleed when he trimmed my cuticles. All of my fingers feel sore around the cuticles from having them trimmed dry. I was upset about the bleeding but at least my nails look ok. They are not all perfect smooth across the top but it's not noticeable, thankfully. When I went to pay he said he would only charge me for my nails and not for trimming my cuticles. It came out to $40. The picture was taken a day after once my cuticles were no longer bleeding.

I went for the removal of my powder nails (done else where). It was a Saturday around noon and wasn't crowded at all = great for me as I was a walk in. There was a gentleman that assisted me and he took care of my nails as if I was getting a higher priced service. This was also a plus because normally other places want to rush you out but he took his time and made conversation. The place is about average size, had plenty of seats for pedicures for a girls day. I also spotted a mini fridge in the back with light refreshment drinks. All in all I think I'll be back to get my nails done here.

Light snacks, like cranberries and nuts are provided along with hot tea options, and citrus flavored water. The space is very nice. There are locker rooms with plush spa robes and complementary slippers. The locker room has two steam showers if you want to wash yourself after your massage. They also provide hair products to try as well as a Dyson hair dryer. I was definitely very impressed with the luxurious feel of the spa, however, was turned off by the receptionist who checked me in - her robotic, transactional nature was starkly juxtaposed against the warmth of the spa. I noticed she was the same with all customers so it wasn't personal but interaction with her was unsettling. I booked the 60min signature hydrafacial and the esthetician was welcoming and willingly customized my facial based on my requests. No major issues encountered but I noticed we started 10 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early so I thought marketing it as a 60min experience was a bit misleading. Also note the 60min Signature Hydrafacial does not include any hand/neck massages nor boosters nor light therapy so the $285 price was much more expensive than my usual spa. I will not return for another facial but may try massage in the future. We also booked pedicures and again the space is beautiful!! We were given a palette to select colors and the ladies were extremely friendly! My toes came out adorable! I found the seating to be very uncomfortable for a short person despite many pillows placed behind me for support so I honestly struggled to enjoy the experience but the space was very nicely decorated and clean looking. We were offered tea and snacks at the beginning as well. Overall, this was a very nice spa. I found it fairly expensive and overpriced, but I recognize beautiful spaces have a cost and that's what I should've expected in the River Oaks area. There is complementary validated parking!

It was relaxing, calm, and the pressure was actually perfect for the tightness in my back. Me and my partner really enjoyed that part of the experience. The wax service is where I had a different experience. I'm used to getting waxed regularly and haven't had issues in the past. I booked a Brazilian wax, and while the technician was nice, the service didn't go well for me personally. She went over the same areas multiple times, and it got to the point where my skin became very irritated. In one area, the wax caused my skin to lift and I did bleed, which has never happened to me before. She mentioned I may be sensitive, which I understand, but even so, I've never experienced that level of irritation or skin being pulled before. I also still had patches of hair left afterward, so I didn't feel the service was fully completed the way I expected. She did discount $10 from the service, but I still left feeling like the experience wasn't what I paid for or expected. The place itself is nice and the staff were polite, and I don't want this to come off as bashing anyone. I'm just sharing my personal experience so others are aware. Overall, I would return for the massage, but I personally would not get the waxing service again.

This is a great place to do either. The first hour and a half in the men's area rotating between the steam room, sauna hot tub and cold plunge, losing track of the time and just soaking it. The sauna and the steam room each held around 5 to 7 people, respectively. Fortunately I didn't need to push the capacity limits since the crowd was extremely light, especially for for a weekend. I strolled around and checked out the other rooms and the bulgama room was scorching hot, in the best possible way. Broken up into two different dome spaces - one hot and the other extremely hot with a fireplace- that had the cozy smell of burning wood. A fantastic sensory experience. I popped by the restaurant and the Bulgogi stew was delicious. Prices were comparable to being outside of the spa, and the quality was just as good. The food came out piping hot with a little kimchi and some potatoes and a small bowl of rice on the side. I have been to more than a handful of Korean Spas and the features that make this one stand out are: Clean smells- sounds strange to have to say this but Gangnam was clean but didn't smell like cleaning products. Each space had a unique scent based on the desired effect - cedar, burning wood, eucalyptus, etc. Comfortable uniforms - woven, soft terry cloth sets that breathed well and were easy to move in. Unique experiences in small niches- hand spa to massage your hands, foot spa with a pebble bottomed pool, plenty of lounge spaces, vibrating plates for muscle activation or relaxation, I honestly didn't have time to do it all. The staff = top notch. Friendly front desk crew gave a great first impression. The superstar was the gal who helped me decide on a tasty dish in the restaurant, providing great descriptions for all of the choices. After 4 full hours, I needed to go to my next meeting and had to leave. Nevertheless I left feeling relaxed and satisfied. Verdict: Check it out but be sure to give yourself at least 4 hours.

And this is why the rating drops to THREE STARS However, the spa's current approach to cell phone use raises serious privacy and safety concerns. Multiple guests were openly using their phones in treatment areas and even inside the locker rooms -- including taking photos and videos in spaces where individuals are undressed. Locker rooms are universally recognized as places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, and recording in these areas can violate that expectation, regardless of intent. Allowing phones in environments where guests are changing creates a real risk of non‑consensual photography or video, which can have legal implications and exposes patrons to harm. Businesses that operate locker rooms and similar facilities typically have a duty of care to protect guests from exactly this type of privacy intrusion. I strongly encourage the spa to implement and enforce a comprehensive no‑phone policy throughout all treatment and locker room areas. A spa should be a place where guests feel safe, respected, and able to relax without worrying about being filmed or photographed in private spaces. PLEASE KEEP this SPA classy, with privacy rules and keep the ghetto out the door!

Blossom Massage has all those, and has been around for a decade-plus with a great reputation. Dunno WHAT took me so long to check them out, but I recently bought a couples massage (which included all-day pool access) as a Christmas gift for my beau. We planned on getting there an hour before our massage to enjoy the hot tub (they requested that we call ahead to let them know and get the heat going). Our massage started promptly on time, and we both opted for deep tissue. I had Deanne, who specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage (according to her bio on the website)... and let me say she has some STRONG hands. She found all my tension and pain-points and loosened me up. I was honestly a bit sore for days, but in a good way. A great reminder I need to take care of my body post workouts and after long days at the desk... My biggest feedback for them would be to have more info on their website about the pool access and what's offered (towels, robes) and how long we have pool access (it's all day, btw). Before booking, I had to call to get that info; it's be more convenient to add all of that info to their FAQ page. They also allow you to bring snackies, so I brought a fruit, cheese, and tinned fish spread. Also, wondering if they had hot tea service. That's always a nice touch post-massage. Unless you're buying add-ons, the place is mostly saunas, one cold room, and the gender specific bath houses. They don't allow shoes in the spa areas but I think they need to make an exception for that room. They have rugs all over the floor and layered ontop of each other in there and it still doesn't make a difference. I became stuck in there because the floor was so hot it was burning my feet. I was standing on a super thin towel I brought in with me. I had to call for my husband to bring me another towel so I could make a makeshift pathway to the door so I could get out. Consider yourself warned. It feels in there what I assume being on fire might feel like at its beginning stages. The food looked nice but some of it was wildly expensive. $8-9 for one coffee? $4-6 for a hot tea? Ehh, I passed. I enjoyed the bath house/locker room area. The showers were nice, lots of diff pools to chose from that each served different purposes, the wrap around mirrors, body lotion, hair dryers, etc... it was great! They even had attendants in there where you could buy items or services from them. I saw many girls buying face masks. It was very zen in there. I spent a solid amount of time in there getting ready bc I had a fancy dinner with my husband afterwards so I used all the space and amenities to get ready :) Oh forgot to mention - check Groupon. We got our tickets at a discounted rate. Front desk ppl were nice and explained things thoroughly and easily.
