I decided to stop in because the aggressive advertisements for the "authentic" Italian ice caught my eye. I didn't realize there was a separate counter for the desserts, but no one was manning that counter, so I ordered at the savory foods (i.e. pizza/pasta) counter. The person who took my order told me she could ring me up there (at the savory foods counter), and she would help me get my gelati at the other counter. She handed me my receipt and I walked over to the dessert counter. I waited 10 min for the girl to come over to help me (because she was ringing up a customer who had queued behind me). At first, I thought maybe she was taking awhile because she's putting together the other customer's order, which I could understand. However, when I walked over to the other counter, the girl was just packaging parm cheese in containers. She looked at me like she had never seen me before. I told her she was supposed to make my gelati. She said, "Oh!" and half-heartedly apologized. I sampled a couple of the flavors (watermelon and bubble gum/candy) and they honestly tasted very similar -- just pure sugar. Even the lemon tasted like straight-up sugar instead of actual citrus. When the girl was digging out the Italian ice, she had to really scrape at it because I assume it's been stuck there for awhile. (I coincidentally had Italian ice at another place the next day, and it was MUCH smoother and flavorful.) She also wasn't wearing gloves and hadn't washed her hands before serving me (since she had been the cashier, she prob handled cash), so it wasn't too hygenic that she stuck her hand in the ice tubs. But oh well. The custard was strangely yellow/warm-colored compared to the posters where it looked off-white. I assume they used a lot of eggs for the custard or food coloring (or both). Overall, the customer service and disappointing gelati were not worth my money, time, or room in my stomach. #foodregrets read more

This place should be reported for being unsanitary. I won't be coming back here and I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here. Man handling both cash and food. I asked him if he washed his hands before touching our pizza, he said he didn't touch the pizza, that he used the tongs and it went into the oven. I corrected him and stated that he touched the crust to separate the pizza. He then said "and I put it in the oven". I told him it doesn't excuse the fact that he touches dirty money then handles food. I asked if he's the owner, he said he's the operations manager. I told him I was going to make sure people know how dirty this place is. He offered to replace the pizza's, told him no because I don't trust how clean it would be. read more

We got the supreme pizza which was $40 (twice the price compared to most pizza places) and it was extremely disappointing. The lasagna and ziti were dry, almost as if it was reheated or has been sitting there all day. You would expect fresh made ones for the price you pay, but no. They're definitely old pasta. read more

I enjoy eating at this pizza stop. The food is very flavorful for a fast food type locale and the quality is decent. The freshness is not a thing for me, as Italian food, imo, is a cuisine that does not get worse over time throughout the day. Sometimes the food gets a bit better as Italian and Italian style foods are typically more about textures and when there is a passing of time, these textures do meld and bind together for an enjoyable feast or snack. The location is convenient and the staff is always cool. I find them very friendly and attentive. The pizza is always mouth watering for me and I am always tempted to eat more than 2 slices. The prices are not the cheapest but it is fair game for food like this and for a place in an outlet such as this. I recommend strongly coming to this place to try it out for anyone who is a fan of fast Italian style food and pizza. read more

One wouldn't usually expect great food from a mall food stand but I was impressed with what I ordered at LA Italian Kitchen. Pizza-by-the-slice can be sketchy but I found my slice to be excellent. The server was also very friendly and insightful. When I ordered a cheese slice, he asked if I was vegetarian and knew to let me know about which sides were meat-free. I really appreciated that. I also ordered the baked ziti with a bread stick. One of the best bread sticks I have ever had! I kid you not! I was able to sneak my food into the movie theater. Thank you so much! read more
