We hired this taco truck for a birthday party and the experience was incredibly disappointing. What was promised during our initial conversation was not what was delivered. The couple who showed up were kind and worked hard, but the setup was completely unprofessional and honestly felt thrown together last-minute. The display was minimal and sad -- old hot dog buns that were falling apart, two tiny paper bowls of salsa that looked like they had been reused, and a table setup that looked like it came from someone's garage. The only condiments available were a half-empty ketchup bottle and a single mustard bottle. No creativity, no presentation, and absolutely no effort to make it festive or appealing. For the amount of money I paid, this was completely unacceptable. The food itself was mediocre at best, and it did not reflect the quality or service I was led to expect. The whole thing felt like a bait-and-switch. Should've worked with my first choice the only reason I didn't was because of timing. Salsa was amazing, red was spicy but had a lot of flavor, and green is perfect for those who want a spice they can handle but not spicy. VERY disappointing expereince. The day started with no one arriving and when I called I was told the person was 15 minutes away. 30 minutes later no one arrived and I had to keep calling Arturo multiple times. He eventually told me the person was late and should be there soon. When he arrived the meat was already cooked and wasn't cooked fresh on site. He came with a small bowl of cilantro and onions and salsa that wasn't enough. We had ordered for 35 people and we had less than 30 guests. The meat was very salty and not good. I would not recommend using his services for your event at all. Not reliable, poor quality. read more

I attended a baby shower in Orange County so when I saw an LA taco bar was bringing the food, I was excited. Nothing against OC or San Diego taco spots but LA I think has the best! Very clean and organized, the beef, chorizo, and Al pastor are all awesome but the Al pastor was what I got the most of. My personal experience and I hope this helps. I hired Arturo for my a baby shower I was hosting. In the beginning Arturo was very nice and responsive. Answered all my questions. But the day of the service I want to say was not the most positive. Olga was our cook and she had the worst attitude. I personally didn't mind her cold personality but once the party was over a lot of my guests had complaints about being rude to them. We were quoted mulitas and when I asked for one she told me no, I had to wait? (It was already half an hour past the start?? Okay I figured she's having a bad day?. I asked her if the owner would join us later, her response was "no he's probably at home scratching his big belly" ??? Okay fine whatever. Comment after comment she looked like she didn't want to be there. Mind you we paid for an extra hour and she began to stop service 15 mins early. Given chicken was the only meat left I feel she could have told my guests that was the only option. We were told we would be able to keep left overs but Olga started to pack it away. My mom had to ASK her to please let us keep it so we can serve out the remainder our ourselves. Overall it was disappointing because the food was pretty good but their service was lacking. I also reached out to the owner hoping to feel heard but it's been 3 days post service and of course no response. Go figure.. Here's what happened : No guacamole and 1/2 bag of chips for 60 people. Insufficient amount of onions & cilantro. Beans and rice were not kept warm. Server did not speak English and was not a friendly person. For a customer service business Arturo really should have more professional staff. The staff ate the food I paid for without permission. Last week when Arturo stated my balance was $98 and should have honored that. But called me at my event to say I still owed $35.00! Overall The experience with Arturo and LA Tacos was very unprofessional and the service was mediocre. Although the food was good it did not make up for the poor service. He was the best price, and provided great options along with napkins, forks, plates, etc. The veggies we chose were so fresh and high quality, and then on top of that he had soy chorizo too! He was pretty responsive up until the day he was scheduled to serve for our parry. Of course we paid a good size deposit. No one arrived at the scheduled time. I waited 30 minutes and tried to call which he did not pick up. I sent a text. He replied saying someone was on the way and would be there in 30 minutes. So they would be an hour late. No one showed up. Tried calling. Again no answer. Sent him text. Finally with alot of texts back and forth. They were 2 hours late to serve for our party. Our guests were starving. We were also a little embarrassed. His food was okay. Service is just not good. I would say to stay away from this company if you want your food served on time. read more

He was accommodating with the different times we wanted to host the event and also gave good recommendations on dessert/drink options.
