She always gave me a great price due to the fact that I'm a college student and I didn't make much from work, which I did appreciate. It came to a point where she messed up on my French dip nails and I made a comment kindly and sent her the picture of the nails and said, " This looks a little messed up, but don't worry we can just fix it when I get back from Mexico." She was extremely rude about it and said that she was no longer going to do my nails just because she messed up and took it offensively; which is fine because there are other million nail places in Houston. Also, many times she would confirm an appointment with me and I had to wait because she was still working with another client and one of the times I had to wait almost an hour yet she would always text me and tell me to be on time. I always thought she was a kind person but I guess overtime you get to know peoples true colors. this one other time I was discussing with her how I wasn't doing so well mentally, and she took it in a way that was so weird that she wouldn't book an appointment with me until I was, "better". With me getting my nails done has nothing to do with my mental health, if anything I loved getting my nails done and that makes me happy and for her to say that made me feel very uncomfortable and I found it very offensive/odd. I now go Gloss nails and they do an absolutely amazing job. It's not the same price she would charge me but the quality is 100 times better. Mary isn't the best nail tech, so I highly recommend Gloss nails or King's nails in Pearland. I never pictured myself making this review about her, because I always found her as a kind person but because she messed up (more than once) and I kindly told her about it, and her attacking me through text was shocking. Overall Salon Loft has many other inside stations where they do hair and such which I have found to be pretty interesting. I've never tried (only my nails), but from what I've seen the people who work there are nice. I just ended up having a really sad and horrible experience with her at the end. PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW. The shop is located off the freeway and it does not look like your modern shops; however, there is no need to worry. There is a lock on the door and you must be "buzzed" in because there are a lot of solicitors and neighborhood locals that like to stop. New customers are always the individuals that feel unsafe and reference the area as "hood." Walk-ins are welcomed; BUT, everyone KNOWs TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. So please don't expect to be waited on immediately. If you make an appointment, it will be rare that the ladies will be behind. It it mainly due to the previous customer running late. The ladies will work nonstop to make sure everyone is taken care of... I've witnessed this on several occasions, especially on weekends and holidays. The lady begin to work on my nails and she was using the brush. I asked ma'am I wanted the dip nails and she said it was the same thing... the price cost the same as the powder fill in so I just let her finish. WRONG. My nails came out horrible and she took so long I didn't even have time to have her fix them. Brand new set that looks awful. They're not filed down smoothly, some are crooked, some go past the cuticle others far away from it. Some have the color buffed right off on the edges. Some have the color going under the tip of my nail in a huge blob that they couldn't really drill off. She said to come back so she can fix them. I'll be back Monday or Tuesday. That really sucks though because I have to go the whole weekend with some horribly, ugly looking nails. I was so excited because the nail tech Cindy showed me all the pictures of the nails she had done and then I was let down. I kept saying I had to go back to work and she was moving sooooooo slow. If only the final product reflected her speed of service. I would have been more grateful if my nails looked as amazing as I thought they would for the time it took and for as slow as she was going.
