I was going to a different salon for dip until my mom and sister came to visit and checked this place out for themselves. They raved so much about it and only had great things to say so, I decided to to give it a shot when I was due for my nails. I absolutely LOVED my nails, service was amazing, place was clean and my nail artist Jenny was so sweet and talented. My daughter came with me since she was on spring break and she made my daughter feel super comfortable offering her soda, water, the massage chair everything to make her feel good during her time there with me. Possibly the worst manicure I've had, unfortunately. These photos are from 1 week after my appointment. Thick and poorly shaped, much shorter than I asked for (inspo picture included. I told her 'I know you lose some length in the shaping so let's cut it a little extra long' and she said 'no you don't' and then I ended up with stubs), cuticles look terrible, bubbles in paint that peeled after 2 days. I had to go back in to get the paint touched up and was rushed and felt like an inconvenience, so I didn't feel any point in bringing up my other complaints. One week later the paint is peeling on 3 fingers again and they look terrible- I'm ready to have them soaked off. There were problems with the pedicure, too, but I'm tired of listing all the issues. The staff was very nice but I don't feel like they were thorough or gave me the time/attention to detail that $125 afforded. read more

Absolutely loved the job Lynn did on my nails! She was kind and thorough. If only I lived here I would be back to see her all of the time! The man who is in charge has to be the sweetest and kindest guy. He's also funny and makes you feel right at home. He comes around often to make sure you're satisfied and will fix any problem himself if you don't like something! They also have complimentary sodas and alcohol beverages like most places do. I came into the nail salon and all techs were busy with other customers. However the receptionist helped me pick a color, she helped remove the previous color from my nails and she offered me a beverage. Jenny did my nails and she was very thorough! I have been going to L'arte for the last six months and have been increasingly disappointed each time. They are so inconsistent with their services and wait time. When I was there two weeks ago, I thought a small spot on my finger might be the start of a fungus. The gentleman doing my nails said, "It's just old powder." Well today I went to get my nails done and sat for 10 minutes and walked out without being acknowledged. I will NEVER go back. I left and went to another salon in Prosper. When they took off the gel coat I had full on fungus on two nails. I'm so disgusted and mortified by L'Arte. I've always felt like they don't really care and it's a mill. Since moving to Texas a little over a year ago, I have had the hardest time finding a nail salon willing to do funky nail art that I like. Beautiful salon, very clean and the kindest staff. Truly. I feel awful for having to write this review. But, the nail techs do not know how to do nails. Really terrible job, unfortunately. Bummed because they were all so nice but I cannot ever come back. I wouldn't recommend. I really hope the manager gets the staff some better training because it is a nice little place and they are so accommodating. But, both my manicure and pedicure were so bad I had to go to another salon and have them fixed as much as possible. :( read more

I have been to this salon several times and generally had good experiences. There have been minor things like the nail tech doing the massage didn't do the best job or getting "knicked" once or twice. I never made a big deal about it. I have always appreciated the manager and how friendly she is and she has even done complimentary polish for my daughter when she accompanied me. However, after my last experience, I decided it's time to move on. I got a pedicure (regular polish) and NexGen on my hands for the first time ever. Tom did my pedicure and he was very rough...to the point where it was a bit painful. Also, he did not remove all of the red polish on my toes before applying my new shade-it was still visible on some of my cuticles. Unfortunately, I only noticed after he was finished so at that point I didn't say anything. I was preoccupied with the lady doing my NexGen. I chose a darker color and noticed that the top part of my nails were obviously darker than the parts closer to the cuticle. She did not correct it after I pointed it out. She also applied too much top coat on one of my nails and I ended up with a blob of dried top coat on that nail. She did not correct this either. For the amount I paid and how regularly I frequented the place, I expected better. Also, for the first time in my life, my pedicure chipped within a day or two. I have never had this issue before, even with regular polish. read more

I went in yesterday for a pedicure and Nexgen manicure. I had Tom doing my hands. After nicking my fingers several times I asked if someone else could please finish. He preceded to throw down his dremel tool, slam his equipment down, and kicked his stool against the wall. Afterwards he remained in the salon laughing at me with another employee. To add insult to injury the owner called me today and told me it was my fault for not asking to change technicians sooner. After hanging up with him he has called my phone about 20 times in a 3 minute period. After having to block his number from the constant harassing, he has started calling me from a different number. read more

Tom is awful at doing nails. He failed to remove all of my polish from my fingers, and then proceeded to put nexgen on. Once he was finished, the nextgen was not smooth and instead in the shape of a bubble. Not to mention I was bleeding, from the multiple times I was nicked with the electric nail filer. Everyone was else was super friendly, and Kim, the lady doing my feet, was amazing. I would definitely go again, I would just make sure to not get Tom. read more

Despite some negative reviews, my husband and I both went -- I had NexGen and he had the signature pedi. The shop is brand new and immaculate, and the service was kind and prompt. My nails came out exactly the way I like them, and my husbands pedicure and leg massage was expertly done. Definitely a five star experience. "Happy Hour" pricing during the week saves you 20% off all services, and The max of one drink wasn't a deterrent-they actually have a full bar and will mix a cocktail for you. Two cocktails in an hour is more than I need, lol. I'm sure if I had asked for a second non-alcoholic drink they'd do that, no problem. read more

I always get dip powder/nexgen and a pedicure. The chairs are relaxing not those weird massage chairs that hurt you. The staff is so friendly and seriously so my nails perfect every single time. One of the best pedicures I've had in a long time. I tried this place because I was having trouble with my regular place. The last three visits, despite pointing out sore toes, they weren't able to fix. Well Larry was my HERO on Sunday. I wanted to hug him afterwards!!! Seriously! It's a no from me. My friend and I made appointments a few days prior to Mother's Day. We arrive on time for our appointments on Mother's Day and notice there's a bit of a wait. Staff appeared to be stressed and not the most attentive. We are directed to two pedicure chairs where we are left and forgotten about for a good 20 minutes. Finally a lady starts on my friend's feet as I continue to wait without an update. My appointment was at 1pm and it's now 1:30 and I ask when they're going to start on me. The lady doing my friend's feet points to some guy and says I'm next. In the middle of my friend's pedicure she gets up several times and one time disappears for a solid 20 minutes! We look around and see her upfront running the front desk. It's now after 1:45 and when she returns to my friend I tell her to forget about my appointment as I had a Mother's Day dinner to get to. She quickly finishes my friend's toes. We go to checkout and when we point out how terrible our visit was she tells my friend to the call the manager and still charges her full price! We get outside and I look at my friend's toes and polish is all over the skin around her toes. Definitely a rush job! Staff continued to look miserable and several customers were sitting there looking around and waiting to be acknowledged. If this is how you get treated with an appointment that was scheduled well in advance, I sure wouldn't want to be a walk-in! When I got home my husband asked if I enjoyed getting out on Mother's Day and pampering myself, and unfortunately that never got to happen. I will not be back. read more

She was busy picking out her colors when one of the workers came up to me and asked me what we wanted done. I told her we both just wanted pedicures. She then told me the 30% off grand opening special couldn't be used on my daughter's pedicure I would have to buy my daughter both a pedicure and manicure.
