    Creperie on the corner!

I was feeling a bit peckish while relaxing in Magee Park, and luckily French Corner is right across the street. A short walk brought me into this small but pleasant spot. The banana, walnut, caramel crepe was calling my name, so I went for it. The crepes are made to order, and the chef prepared it in less than five minutes. I took it to go and shared it. It was very tasty, though both diners thought it could have used a more caramel and whipped cream. That said, I'm looking forward to going back to try some of their savory crepes.

Nice quaint place at a corner street. Very informal and you get to choose your seat. The way they do it is you go to the counter and choose your order placed on the board then they'll give you a number. Surprisingly I didn't have to wait for my order. It was quick. I got the eggs with veggie crepes. It was delightful and light. I will definitely come back and try other foods they have.

In honor of "International Women's Day", we feel it is important to support women owned businesses (not only this day, but also on a regular basis) and it is that desire that led us to the "French Corner." Everything about this place intentionally seeks to provide you with a little taste of Paris during your visit. You'll need to "parle a little francais" while ordering because the menu items have had French names bestowed upon them. You may also notice that all of the music playing in the background features exclusively French vocalists. After we enjoyed both the Breakfast Croissant and the Breakfast Crepe (which was particularly "tres bien") we found ourselves simultaneously wondering when we'll get our first opportunity to invite family and friends to enjoy this place with us. Their location is conveniently situated near the heart of the Carlsbad Village to provide you with the opportunity for a leisurely stroll before or after your meal. And that's...Henry's Take. #internationalwomensday #frenchcornercarlsbad

Cute little French cafe located right in the north end of carlsbad village, about a block from the beach. Nice Selection of sandwiches, coffee, crepes and pastries. Service is pretty average but overall a great spot to get your grub on.

We ate lunch at French Corner today and fell in love with this quaint little place that serves up delicious food with a lovely outdoor sitting area overlooking Carlsbad Boulevard. I had La Dinde savory crepe and it was delightful, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed a Jambon Beurre Baguette sandwich. The staff are friendly and did a great job with the food. They have a wide variety of pastries and desserts and various quiches that we will be back to sample, too. Thank you for a great midday meal. We are so happy to have found you!

Clean and breezy. Items in the case looked very appealing. Person at the front counter was not the kindest. I would come back, just for the food.

    Potato ham quiche

Exactly what you'd like for a French cafe. I had the quiche with potato's and ham it's really good but definitely put some hot sauce if you are looking for more flavor. It came with a miniature mixed green salad. The dressing that came with was perfection. Almost a mustardy/balsamic vibe. The outdoor seating is a great hangout and relaxing. The cashier helped me decide on more popular options. In n out within 15

There is some street parking out front, if you get lucky. Nice inside and some French style music playing, gave me an Emily in Paris vibe. The staff was nice and very quick to take and make the order. They have a large menu with plenty of options - everything from crepes, to coffee cake, eclairs, Mochas, etc. I will be stopping in again to try some of the crepes but today was just Mocha and coffee cake. I was disappointed with the coffee cake. It was flavorful but dry, I like it more moist. It looks great but I will try some other desserts next time.

The savory crepe with turkey and aged cheese was mouthwatering. The banana crepe was okay. Cute lil place. The service was great. Very expensive for what it is tho.

The cashier was very friendly and helpful, I wanted to make a chance to the drink I got because I didn't love everything listed and she was very patient with ensuring my order was how I wanted. The place itself is very clean and in a nice spot in town. You can sit indoor and out which is perfect for a nice beach day. The food was simple and isn't really anything special which is nice if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat like we were.

There are both indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed the relaxing and delightful atmosphere of the indoor seating. They have a nice selection of purses, jewelries and Stanley Tucci cookbooks. I also enjoyed other merchandise they have around the shop. They sell Italian pasta, tomato sauce and jam. The menu includes ; creamy gelati, dairy free sorbetti, gelato specialties, love shakes, coffe, cannoli, ice cream cakes, and desserts. There are many flavors to choose from. Everything looked tempting and delicious. Finally, we decided to get flight of four different flavors of gelato. We chose Carlsbad strawberry, Cookies and cream, Bacio, Tahitian vanilla bean. Their gelato was rich, creamy and silky. The amount was generous. The owner and the staff were very welcoming and genuinely warm. The service was fast. I really like Gelato Love. So this little cute shop is located in Carlsbad Village. We came on a Saturday morning at around…read more11am and it was pretty easy to find parking . There was a large lot maybe 1 block away that we parked at and then walked in from there. Inside, there was a line but it moved pretty fast. The donuts on display look so gooddd, we had to try one even though I was originally there for coffee. Person behind the donut area was really nice with great customer service! Cashier was the same! They have a little water stand you can get some water from too which was nice after chowing down on the donut. The donut itself was so good. Right amount of fluffiness and taste and crispiness. I'm still thinking about the donut and how good it was. I will come again one day.

The donuts are still beautiful and food good but their service has really gone downhill…read more Two girls at the counter chatting when I walked in. It took a moment to get their attention. I smiled and commented on the donuts and that broke their gossipy reverie. One immediately walked away like she couldn't be bothered to work, only a paid gossiper. There was no one in the store other than me. She rung me up with a flat attitude like she just got out of jail and was miserable. Her name is Bre. I ordered a dirty chai. With two other items. She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today. It's a shame. This place used to be really friendly and fresh and top of the line customer service, Management needs to rework things before they completely go downhill but it seems they are already there.
