Cute little French cafe located right in the north end of carlsbad village, about a block from the beach. Nice Selection of sandwiches, coffee, crepes and pastries. Service is pretty average but overall a great spot to get your grub on.

We ate lunch at French Corner today and fell in love with this quaint little place that serves up delicious food with a lovely outdoor sitting area overlooking Carlsbad Boulevard. I had La Dinde savory crepe and it was delightful, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed a Jambon Beurre Baguette sandwich. The staff are friendly and did a great job with the food. They have a wide variety of pastries and desserts and various quiches that we will be back to sample, too. Thank you for a great midday meal. We are so happy to have found you!

Nice quaint place at a corner street. Very informal and you get to choose your seat. The way they do it is you go to the counter and choose your order placed on the board then they'll give you a number. Surprisingly I didn't have to wait for my order. It was quick. I got the eggs with veggie crepes. It was delightful and light. I will definitely come back and try other foods they have.

In honor of "International Women's Day", we feel it is important to support women owned businesses (not only this day, but also on a regular basis) and it is that desire that led us to the "French Corner." Everything about this place intentionally seeks to provide you with a little taste of Paris during your visit. You'll need to "parle a little francais" while ordering because the menu items have had French names bestowed upon them. You may also notice that all of the music playing in the background features exclusively French vocalists. After we enjoyed both the Breakfast Croissant and the Breakfast Crepe (which was particularly "tres bien") we found ourselves simultaneously wondering when we'll get our first opportunity to invite family and friends to enjoy this place with us. Their location is conveniently situated near the heart of the Carlsbad Village to provide you with the opportunity for a leisurely stroll before or after your meal. And that's...Henry's Take. #internationalwomensday #frenchcornercarlsbad

Clean and breezy. Items in the case looked very appealing. Person at the front counter was not the kindest. I would come back, just for the food.

    Potato ham quiche

Exactly what you'd like for a French cafe. I had the quiche with potato's and ham it's really good but definitely put some hot sauce if you are looking for more flavor. It came with a miniature mixed green salad. The dressing that came with was perfection. Almost a mustardy/balsamic vibe. The outdoor seating is a great hangout and relaxing. The cashier helped me decide on more popular options. In n out within 15

There is some street parking out front, if you get lucky. Nice inside and some French style music playing, gave me an Emily in Paris vibe. The staff was nice and very quick to take and make the order. They have a large menu with plenty of options - everything from crepes, to coffee cake, eclairs, Mochas, etc. I will be stopping in again to try some of the crepes but today was just Mocha and coffee cake. I was disappointed with the coffee cake. It was flavorful but dry, I like it more moist. It looks great but I will try some other desserts next time.

The savory crepe with turkey and aged cheese was mouthwatering. The banana crepe was okay. Cute lil place. The service was great. Very expensive for what it is tho.

The cashier was very friendly and helpful, I wanted to make a chance to the drink I got because I didn't love everything listed and she was very patient with ensuring my order was how I wanted. The place itself is very clean and in a nice spot in town. You can sit indoor and out which is perfect for a nice beach day. The food was simple and isn't really anything special which is nice if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat like we were.

    La Dinde Crepe

We had a great time here! The vibe is French and relaxed. Brunch here reminded me of the perfect Sunday morning :) The food was delicious. I ordered La Dinde Crepe which consisted of turkey, pesto, Gruyère and arugula. All crepes come with a side salad which is light and refreshing. The crepes are a large size which matches the approx. $15 price. The restaurant vibe was adorable. The decor matched a cute quaint French bistro. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our food despite the business came out fast. Around 12 pm the cafe started playing French music which was a lovely touch! If you still have room after your meal, there are some delicious desserts offered. We were too full to indulge, but next time we will be prepared!

To say that I have mixed feelings about this establishment is an understatement. It was a rainy day, and I was happy to get inside, but approaching the pastry case, we realize that the majority of the items appear to be more than a day old. The quiche had a very dry and cracked exterior, and the rest of the items did not look fresh. Because of this, we decided to place our orders directly off of the menu and were quite disturbed to see employees, using their bare hands to handle the food along with the young lady at the cash register wearing long, acrylic nails without gloves, which is well known as an OSHA violation. I had ordered the French toast, which ended up being quite bland and very large i. its portion. My daughter ordered a croissant and was very happy with it and my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich that was decent as well. My latte was absolutely fantastic, so I have no complaints there. Near the end of our visit, we noticed that they put out a fresh pumpkin pie so we did not hesitate to place our order as well as for the Millie feuille. Both of which were good, but the fresh pumpkin pie was by far superior with its exquisite cinnamon taste. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I don't think we'll be going back with so many options available be on this.

"Good food is the foundation of genuine happiness."…read more ~Auguste Escoffier Long overdue but very much deserved review for Fish Boon in Carlsbad. We've now dined here several times, and each visit somehow keeps getting better and better. The menu is extensive, innovative, and beautifully executed, while the sake selection is truly spectacular. Standouts absolutely include their salads, specials, sashimi, sushi, and especially their fresh uni, which is consistently some of the best in the area. Their uni and wagyu pairings are absolutely magnificent. Yum! The sake program here also deserves special recognition, with several excellent Daiginjos to choose from along with beautifully curated tasting flights. What truly elevates Fish Boon, however, is the staff and service. Everyone is warm, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. You can immediately tell this place has built a loyal following of regulars for a reason. This has officially become our close-to-home sushi, sashimi, and sake spot. I smiled and commented on the donuts and that broke their gossipy reverie. One immediately walked away like she couldn't be bothered to work, only a paid gossiper. There was no one in the store other than me. She rung me up with a flat attitude like she just got out of jail and was miserable. Her name is Bre. I ordered a dirty chai. With two other items. She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today. It's a shame. This place used to be really friendly and fresh and top of the line customer service, Management needs to rework things before they completely go downhill but it seems they are already there.
