Staff did not check in if I needed anything with my meal. Place was not busy at all. There were a few tables with customers but no one was requesting anything. I ordered an omelette and 10/10 times at any sit down restaurant I've been to the waiter/waitress asks if I need anything else. I also ordered a regular drip coffee and not once did anyone come by and offer to pour me a refill. Even asking if I would like my cup topped off shouldn't be a question and that goes back to when I was a kid and hearing family & friends tell me that pouring coffee refills is part of excellent service should not be new in the customer service realm. Did this change overnight? If this is your restaurant policy then I wasn't aware. I give a rating of 3/5 because at least the omelette with the black beans I ordered was good. Situated by a park and occupying a strip mall full of other dining choices it was a nice place. Easy to park. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly enough hostess. Very nice server. Clean. I thought the menu was a great variety. My friend ordered the The Mug Chilakiles and her mom ordered the ORO Pancakes. The Chilakiles were great!!! The flavors were really good and the green salsa had just the right amount of punch! I liked the pancakes as well but my friend thought they were a little dry. I would definitely recommend. Oh! My husband ordered the Sonora omelette, and the chorizo was burnt way overdone. He asked for hashbrowns well done, and got hashbrowns that were barely done. We had a great meal here. I had had the Country Breakfast, and it came with duck breast that was fantastic. I also had the biscuit with gravy, which was pretty darned good, and my folks are from Alabama so I've had plenty of biscuits and gravy during my life! For a breakfast place, this has a few major shortcomings: 1) the hash browns are inedible. It's like thin frozen patties that were reheated. No flavor, no crisp. Just blah. 2) no coffee options other than just coffee. No barista, no specialty drinks. There are so many other places nearby that at least offer a more robust coffee menu. 3) avocado toast is served on basically white bread. Not sure where this sourdough is from, but it was flavorless and under toasted, making the entire dish a bit soggy. Not what you want from avocado toast. I won't be back, especially since there are better options around. EDIT: The rude response from the owner is all the more reason to take your business elsewhere. Don't blame the patrons of the business for not asking for bread choices or sending back the food (I did ask for the hash browns to be extra crispy, but they were still soggy in the middle). Restaurant ownership requires the ability to take feedback and make things better, not be condescending to the customer who wrote a review. read more

Pretty sure i was the only customer around, they had only one order to make when i was present. I ordered to go but just went to a nearby park to eat, so the food did not sit for more than 3-5 minutes before it was opened. Apparently this is their idea of "extra crispy" hash browns. Also probably the worst biscuits and gravy i have ever tasted. Most biscuits and gravy kindof just is what it is, with some restaraunts actually creating something above and beyond. I think this is the first time ive ever actually disliked this dish anywhere. Plus they burned the biscuits. The staff were very friendly. 5 stars for the staff. Having said that, our breakfast was awful. My husband and I both ordered the biscuits and gravy. (Having eaten Southern biscuits and gravy my whole life, I know what it should taste like). I don't think I have ever seen tasted gravy like that! It was a very strong and odd tasting gravy. The flavor was unusual, reminded me of a wild mushroom gravy, something you might serve over a hamburger patty. Because you would never pour that over a good steak. (Although we wouldn't have eaten it no matter how it was served). My husband will eat just about anything. But he absolutely hated it. We couldn't even finish it. The eggs were overcooked. Ordered takeout in the morning. Unfortunately, my steak and eggs were missing the eggs, and the toast was soggy from being packed in with the steak. I didn't realize until I got to my destination, and no one answered when I called multiple times. That said, management did end up refunding my meal, which I really appreciate. I like to venture out and try new places, but this one was a miss from the start. The table was sticky, and the coffee didn't taste organic even though the server insisted it was. That should've been my sign to leave. When the food came, the presentation was messy and the flavor was even worse. I ended up returning nearly my entire order for everyone in my party. To make matters worse, while I was explaining my concerns, the waiter referred to my son as "she." Even though he's clearly a boy! Little guy is shredded with clear muscle definitions for his age how can you mistake him for a girl? Anyway, He got checked real quick and he corrected himself and apologized, but then ended with "whatever," which really sealed the deal on the bad service. I let it go because English clearly was his 1st language; he probably doesn't fully understand the context of how that comes across in the situation. The only positive here was the location, but overall the food was terrible. Definitely won't be back. Going back to my usual joints for a while before braving out again. read more

Ambience was nice and calm we came on a Friday around 10:30am I ordered the ORO pancakes that are supposed to be to have port wine infused strawberries layers and a white creme sauce . Unfortunately strawberries weren't infused they were plain so that made pancakes kinda dry . White creme sauce tasted like a watered down condensed milk. It had a light taste not too sweet. I think if they would have add some of that in the layers it wouldn't have been so dry, after a few bites I decided to use all the pancake syrup and cream the whip topping all over it . Which I never use that much syrup,Couldn't finish them all still too dry. Presentation was gorgeous , I regret not bringing it to the attention of the waitress ( cook must of just forgot tom use the infused strawberries ?) , but I already had to ask for a new coffee as my cup had bright pink lipstick on it. Hate being that customer that nit picks. Especially she was the only waitress I saw and was really doing a good job ! I Will definitely speak up next time. Luckily I have learn to check my cups and glasses before drinking as I know how sticky our lipsticks can be. She was very apologetic and brought me a new coffee. Went this morning with a friend and got the biscuits and gravy. Perhaps my fault but there wasn't any thing in the gravy, very thin and tasted different from any i have had previously. Wish I had brought my phone to post a photo of my Chicken Machaca plate topped with fresh avocado slices and in-house made salsa on the side. (Very large meal). The Breakfast Mugs coffee is equally as good as the food here. Beans are roasted right here on the coast and taste like Kona . For a guy who normally dinks 1 cup, I had 3 ! The outside patio is large . All table have umbrellas and plants that separate guest. This newest restaurant emits quality throughout.
