This was by far the most sublime meal I had in Paris. We chose a 6 course tasting meal for 52 euros each and we were so glad we chose the chef's choices as they kept getting better and better. Now we are American so I was unsure of the exact wording of the dishes but the highlights included carrot soup with a broccoli mouse ( I think), pickled vegetables, fish that had an amazing nut crust, lamb and mashed potatoes, and a fennel ice cream with sour apples and rhubarb. The service was perfect and polite. The staff is well trained and they know their food. We spent 2.5 hours eating and it was an experience which we will never forget, merci.

One of the best restaurants in town! The cheese plate was heavenly, the wine was excellent, the fish moose-like dish was amazing and the veal was yummy! But the dessert was above it all: the creme brulee was better than anywhere else, but most amazingly, the pannacota was served with balsamic vinegar, which was simply divine.

A true European cafe experience. Everything I wanted from a dinner in France, and then some. It is a small dining room, the seating is as tight as it gets, and although we were one of the first to arrive, the place completely filled up. The night we were there, it was a Pre Fix menu for 33 euro per person 3 course dinner. Our host who met us at the door, also did the translating of the menu, and took our order. The couple at the table next to my wife and I, made conversation with us, and were very pleasant. They even gave us a restaurant recommendation for the following evening. The duck con-fee starter was the most wonderful thing I have EVER eaten. The veal tail with mushrooms was amazingly tender, and the polenta croquette were reminiscent of the Cuban starter I love. I opted for the white chocolate ice cream with French toast sticks with fruit puree, although I think I enjoyed my wifes Poached pear just a touch more. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to any person looking for the new Paris. The chef here is really doing something wonderful here. Enjoy!

I got the pork plate and it was an absolute treat! The desserts are also fantastic, especially the chocolate cake. The service is the best I've had in France so far, the outside seating is no smoking which is great. Overall an amazing experience!

That said, I do my best to avoid restaurants in Paris where the chalkboards are written in anything resembling English.

This place has that scrappy energy in the best possible way--servers switching effortlessly between languages, bartenders pulling double duty, and everyone working with heart and hustle. They got some strong American diner vibes with authentic french food and wine. We started with a bold and unique Chenin Sous Voile from Domaine Jousset--dry, nutty, and layered like a white port's sophisticated cousin. Highly recommend for anyone looking to drink something memorable. For mains: The flank steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, tender, and full of flavor. Modest portion, but just right considering the quality. The lamb tourine was a standout--fall-apart tender, moist, and rich without being heavy. The sauce was made for mopping up with couscous, and paired beautifully with our carafe of Syrah. Everything was balanced, thoughtfully plated, and delicious without being flashy. Portions and prices were modest, which left room to explore the menu. This is the kind of spot that makes you feel like you're in Paris--not just visiting. Cozy, charming, and quietly brilliant.

PARIS -- In a city teeming with culinary landmarks, the true test of a restaurant often lies not in…read moreits proximity to a monument, but in its ability to make you forget it. RESTAURANT DE LA - TOUR, nestled comfortably in the shadow of the Iron Lady, passes this test with resounding flair. It is not a place that leans on the postcard views for its appeal; instead, it commands attention through the quiet confidence of its kitchen and the warm, genuine hospitality that feels both classic and refreshingly sincere. The menu is a love letter to French technique, but one written with a modern, inventive hand. A meal begins with a clear statement of intent. The Mixed Salad with Pears and Blue Cheese is a masterclass in balance, where the sweet, delicate slices of pear cut through the bold, creamy tang of the cheese. Even more compelling is the Warm Snails Escargots cassolette with Artichokes mousseline and Hazelnuts. This is a definitive departure from the garlic-and-parsley butter trope. The snails, tender and earthy, are nestled in a luxuriously smooth artichoke mousseline, their richness punctuated by the satisfying crunch of hazelnuts. It is a dish that feels both comforting and sophisticated. Enhancing Dining Experience R... The main courses continue this narrative of elevated tradition. The Roasted Filet of Salmon arrives with a crisp skin giving way to a flawlessly moist interior, resting on a vibrant ratatouille that sings of a basil-infused summer. For the richer palate, the Pan-fried Duck Breast is a standout. Sliced into rosy, perfect medallions, its robust flavor is brilliantly offset by a sharp, sweet raspberry sauce and the decadent, creamy embrace of potatoes gratin. Other classics are rendered with equal precision. The Pan-fried Duck Liver, seared to a silken texture, finds its soulmate in a doting apricot marmalade, its sweetness teased out by a whisper of rosemary. The Roasted Chicken Breast, a dish so often mundane, is transformed here. It is supremely juicy, elevated to grandeur by a profound Brie and truffle cheese sauce that is as indulgent as it sounds. No French feast is complete without its final act, and the pastry chef does not disappoint. The Warm Apple Tart Tatin is everything one hopes for in this iconic dessert-caramelized, buttery apples on a sturdy base, its warmth melting the cool vanilla ice cream alongside it. Its rival in decadence, the Warm Melted Chocolate Cake, delivers that timeless, gooey center, a rich eruption that is perfectly tempered by the clean, cold vanilla bean ice cream. RESTAURANT DE LA - TOUR understands that a memorable meal in Paris is more than the sum of its dishes. It is an atmosphere, a feeling. It is the kind of place that doesn't just feed you, but reminds you why French cuisine remains a global beacon. You may come for the landmark nearby, but you will return for the landmark meal.

The place is quite small, located in a nice walkable neighborhood within close distance to the Eiffel Tower, they offered French and English menus and I got to look at both and saw that the prices were the same so that was nice! I got a fish of the day (which was salmon for that evening) along with homemade ratatouille and my husband got the grilled sirloin steak. With every order comes with a basket of bread and butter (which I completely OBLITERATED) and I think the server dropped off two more baskets after the initial one. In my defense, I was very hungry after an extremely long day of travel. As for the wines I got myself the Argentine whereas my husband got himself a St Nicolas De Bourgueil, both paired well with out respective dishes. The portions of the food were great, the salmon was a bit bland for my liking but they did have salt and pepper on the table ready for use so I added those and paired with the ratatouille made for a tasty dish. My husband was happy with his steak, but also wished it was a bit more seasoned (American tastebuds and all). Overall, the service, food, portion, and prices were great and I definitely recommend this place for a nice little cozy dinner in Paris!
