TLDR: They are a great small business and would HIGHLY recommend if anyone is in the market for engagement rings. My fiancée's diamond is actually from her mom's stone from her engagement ring! I took the stone to L. Geiger's to put it on a new setting but I wanted to add some customization. My fiancée adores her parent's marriage and I wanted to incorporate their marriage as part of ours. Their team was amazing as we worked together to brainstorm different ways to incorporate my vision for the ring with my budget. In the end, Lance was able to melt down her mom's original yellow-gold band and place a small portion on the inside of the ring. Placing the gold on the inside was a small way to symbolize how her parents' marriage and foundation would always be a part of ours, just as the gold on the inside would always be touching her whenever she wears it. Super happy with this jeweler! I took my wedding ring in on Wednesday to have a diamond that fell out replaced (the ring was purchased from a different jeweler.) Their place is very clean, organized, and professional! Estherly was super friendly and had the jeweler look at and give me an estimate while I waited. Their estimate was very thorough and the potential costs for the repair were explained to me. They gave me the worst case scenario, which was still less than the other jeweler I had taken it to. I decided to have them do the repair and they said it would be done by Friday. The next day, Thursday, I received a call from Estherly letting me know my ring was ready and that the repair cost was much less than the highest estimate. I came in that afternoon to pick it up and it looked fantastic! Estherly and the other gentlemen that were working there were super friendly! We had a great conversation while she cleaned the diamond band that goes with my wedding ring. My rings look sparkling and beautiful again and the total repair cost was almost half of what I was quoted by the other jeweler. Wow! Lance is amazing. Started out this adventure with not a whole lot of direction. I knew what kind of jewelry my now wife liked, art deco, but I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find anything from a store in that style. I was told by a friend to go see Lance in brea. After a brief introduction we quickly realized that Lance had been my late grandma's jeweler for over 20 years prior to her passing. What a small and beautiful world we live in. I was very worried about purchasing a completed 'off the shelf' ring because I wasn't sure exactly what she wanted. Lance had a solution for this. He would work with me to pick out the center stone to use in a solitaire setting for the proposal and then my fiancée, now wife, would be able to work with him to pick a setting or design her very own. This was perfect as the one thing I knew from the start was that she didn't want anyone else to have her ring or be able to go to a jewelry store and see her ring on a shelf. She wanted something unique and special. Over the next 5 weeks, I got to work with Lance, coming in once a week to look at different center stones. During this time I was educated about all the different properties of diamonds cut, color, clarity, etc and was able to pick out the perfect stone. At one point in time I was told to walk outside in the sun with approximately 20k worth of diamonds in my hand to see the difference between artificial light and sunlight. We went through 5 rounds of diamond selection and finally picked out the best one for quality and price. The proposal was a success and we ended up having a 2.5 year engagement to get the venue we wanted. This also allowed a lot of time for her to shop and work with Lance on her custom ring. She initially started off by designing her own ring from scratch. This did not end up being affordable. We were slightly discouraged at the start but Lance suggested that we could try to find a setting out of one of his books that we could modify to her desired specs. We got married in September of this year and wanted to incorporate sapphires as it is the gemstone of September. The original setting was only diamonds and we requested some minor additional changes as well. The ring was on a very tight schedule at one point in time and there was talk about possibly having to change the design due to difficulties in getting half moon sapphires cut. Lance rejected numerous sets of sapphires due to color and size issues. His standard for quality is very high and he did not want to pass on an inferior product to his clients. We greatly appreciate their hard work and attention to detail. The ring took her breath away at the ceremony and I don't think we could have gotten a better product anywhere else. This unique ring is absolutely stunning and I was very happy to work with Lance on this ring. The solitare setting for the proposal idea is absolutely perfect for us guys. Much easier to figure out what kind of center stone she likes best without giving away the surprise and she still can pick out her perfect setting later. Thank you Lance and staff. I came back to Lance and his team because it was time for me to have my own custom ring. I had previously designed a beautiful ring for my wife with the help of Lance. I had some odd requests of the certain characteristics that I wanted in my ring. And he amazingly got me everything that I wanted. If you look at the picture of the ring you can see that the center of the ring has a diamond. The diamond symbolizes me. To the sides of the diamond are hand engraved swirls that symbolize everything that I will manifest and create in this life. Then within the swirls are different gemstones, a sapphire, an emerald, and a ruby on both sides of the diamond. I put the gemstones in because I played a video game when I was younger, and in this game you had to get those three stones from different parts of the world, respectively. So in my mind the different stones represent the whole world, so what I will manifest and create will have a global impact! The other cool part of the ring is that it is the same on both sides. So it represents that my wife and I are two parts of the same larger being. Once again I highly recommend Lance and his team! They are amazing! read more

Lance is so fantastic to work with we would give him 7 out of 5 stars if we could. When my husband and I started looking at engagement rings everyone we knew gave us suggestions of places to go, including my folks who have used Lance as their jeweler for 30+ years. We decided to try out a few suggestions including Tiffany's (my husband about had a heart attack hearing their prices) and the Tustin Jewelry Exchange where they were pressuring us into buying an overpriced ring within 10 minutes of arriving. Lance was a breath of fresh air and a world of difference. The first time we met with Lance he spent at least 45 minutes walking us through the basics of diamonds and what to look for. Beyond that, Lance included us in every step of the way from deciding on a center stone and side stones, considering incorporating heirloom stones and finding the band which meant he met with us on five other separate occasions. In fact, once he knew what I wanted in a center stone (I value size over a specific color or clarity), he found another stone that was about $500 cheaper and 0.15 carats larger because of a small white inclusion. Honestly, I see why my parents used him for their wedding rings, my mom's 10 year anniversary ring and every other piece of jewelry since. Even though he didn't have a style similar to what I wanted on display in his store, he made exactly what I wanted but even better than I imagined it. And lastly, my husband is in the military and was in another part of the country while we were finishing up the process of making the ring and Lance was great about including him in the process while he was away by emailing him pictures and even overnighting the ring to him when it was finished. All in all, Lance is a true professional with incredible customer service and exquisite craftsmanship. My husband and I cannot recommend him enough. read more

When I started looking for an engagement ring I had absolutely no idea about jewelry. My girlfriend and I went to L Geiger Jewelers because her parents had gotten jewelry from there. It's so hard to describe the feeling that I had when I picked up my ring that I had L.Geiger Jewelers design and manufacture for me. I had waited for 30 years to have a 2 ct.++ diamond ring re-designed, and always knew that I wanted Lance & his very creative Roxanne take on the project for me. When I walked into their establishment May of 2017, with the concept that I had in mind, I thought that Lance & Roxanne might roll their eyes and say, "No.....we don't know if we can do that....." My concept was like nothing they had ever seen before! But we sat down, discussed the various possibilities and they agreed to work up their take on my concept in wax. My design concept represented a large portion of my life experiences.....done in precious stones & gold....really speaking to my inner being. To make a very long story shorter, over the next nine months (it was like having a baby...!!), the 3 of us came to the final design, utilizing the 2+ ct. diamond and a multitude of cobalt blue sapphires. The amount of hours that both Roxanne and Lance spent on the design was amazing, but so fulfilling in the end result!! Their suggestions along the way proved very valid and valuable...the engineering of the structure to support all the stones for stone setting, was amazing. It truly finished as a work of art.....and I am totally thrilled! It may not be to everyone's taste in jewelry, because it is so unique....so very unique!! But it is who I am....a very unusual person, wearing this beautiful treasure.
