The person taking the order over the phone couldn't answer a few basic menu questions. When we picked up our pie , the young women behind the counter seemed annoyed by our presence. Regarding the pie, the extra garlic was missing and the crust was rock hard, nearly inedible, we took a few bites and tossed it. Overall lacking quality & customer service on site. Oh I just love east coast pizza, there is no comparison! Food here is amazing. We had pizza by the slice, a salad, and garlic knots. The pizza is perfect- huge NY style slices! The white pizza is AMAZING, super cheesy so if you aren't a big cheese fan don't go with this option. The regular cheese slice is also great- the perfect fix to any pizza craving. La Bella Roma is a great local pizza spot. Probably one of the best in the area if not the best. The pizza is perfect and well priced. Whether you want a plain slice or a specialty slice like buffalo chicken, it's all good. Whenever I go by, if I feel like eating light I grab a salad which are delicious and gratuitous in portion. We tried this place because of the amazing Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. First off, you must get a Boylands. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan entree which comes with pasta, bread and salad and the salad was a winner. Most side salads are just iceberg lettuce with a cherry tomato and some cucumbers, but the salad here was bright, colorful and delicious. The greens were darker, fresh cut tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and great homemade salad dressing. When the chicken parm came it was very tasty with perfect blend of mozzarella, sauce and chicken but the size was so big I could not finish it and never touched the pasta. I do prefer thicker chicken and the chicken here is thinner. Boyfriend got the pizza and they were the biggest/crispiest slices I have ever seen. If this review was only about pizza, I would give this place 10 stars! They make by far the best Margherita pizza I have ever had. It's phenomenal. HOWEVER, we live in difficult times and tonight was the second time I saw staff member not wearing a mask. Last time it was the cook, tonight a gentleman who was cutting my pizza. I was really excited about this place because I love Italian/Pizza and I pass by here on a weekly basis. Parking is of few spaces, but accessible. Sign is small but the red word: "Pizza" caught my eye. Restaurant looked clean. Bathroom is but one unisex option and does not have a baby changing station, but did have a high chair. New concept for parents to take into consideration while using the bathroom hehehe Sadly, the management has chosen people to represent their company that lack customer service skills and communication. They have no uniform nor dress code: a girl was in shorts so shorts that were prone to call the health department. The front lady was rude, on the phone while taking my order, I asked for my pizza to go and then added a rice ball. She did not tell me it had to be cooked and that the one I saw was on display only. I had to cancel the order. No napkins nor plastic ware were in the to go bag... and the pizza was cold when I got in the car to eat it... Just a bad experience here, sadly. I read all the reviews of this place and was excited to try it out! I'm always looking for the best pizza in Bergen and so I try to not repeat ordering from the same place twice. We have Bella Roma a shot tonight and all I can say is eh. The sauce and the cheese is great. You can definitely tell they use fresh ingredients and it definitely makes the pie. However, the crust is a little overwhelming, it was bland and very hard. You filled up more on crust then you did anything else which made me sad because the cheese and sauce was so good. I ordered delivery from here and only tried the pizza and hot wings. I'm not really a fan of chewy thick crust or skimpy amounts of sauce but the cheese was good as was the sausage. While I would rather have a homemade hot sauce instead of just a traditional brand straight of of the bottle/can, I did greatly appreciate that the wings were NOT tossed in the sauce. It came separate as not to ruin the perfectly crisp skin. PS Delivery was on time and hot and there is a $20 minimum. read more

Awesome food and service! My family and I are from Florida and we're determined to eat good Italian food and pizza before heading home! Just looking for a good authentic Italian experience. Everything's so fresh and tastes really homemade. We had the chicken soup, salmon, chicken caprese and vodka pasta.. all excellent, pasta's al dente and everything's served piping hot. La Bella Roma is a great pizza place in Paramus. I am very picky when it comes to good pizza around this area but this place is the best I have found so far. I work locally so I have tried many pizza places in the Paramus/ Maywood area. I come here about 2-3 times per month for 2 slices. I usually get a plain slice and a chicken, bacon, ranch slice. Every slice I have tried has been great. The crust of the pizza is crispy, the toppings are fresh and the sauce is very tasty. I highly recommend this pizza spot. read more

I was pretty impressed by the rating for a pizza place. However it turns out it was unnecessarily so. The buffalo wings are over battered and come dry ie unsauced. They also come with the most disgusting blue cheese dip that I have every had. That's saying a lot coming from me as I love anything blue cheese. It was almost a sweet overly creamy blue cheese. Yes that's right sweetened blue cheese... gross. Mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside but that's about all I can say that's positive about them. They were overall terrible. Sausage parmigiana and chicken parmigiana sandwich were generous in portion but you wouldn't want to eat that much anyway as it tasted pretty poor. The quality of the sausage itself left a lot to be desired for example. I would have given this place 1 star but I'm being generous because I have a feeling I should have stuck to the pizza instead. read more

The young lady behind the counter was polite and said "no table service" but handed us some menus and said we could order at the counter pay at the counter and they would bring our food. We decided not to stay. We have nothing bad or good to say about the food since we had none. If you're looking for a restaurant with table service I recommend going some place else.
