I visited this past Sunday, and I ordered the paella. This restaurant markets itself as a somewhat Spanish restaurant. There was no Spanish in that paella. They used food coloring to make the rice yellow. The rise was dry and not at "La Chorrera". read more

Order the filet mignon (with mushrooms on the side) and the lobster (either Thermidor or with garlic sauce) and your soul will thank you. The sangria is an absolute. It is the real deal, not the soda infused cheap stuff. The desserts are equally good. The tapas are very good and worth exploring. Location is near the airport and that was the reason we chose it. Inside it is just ok. The menu looked good, but not that clear in some dishes. the service has room to improve. There were only four tables with clients and four servers and all the time we have to call our waiter for something. After sitting down, we were served the regular bread on a basquet at the beginning as every other restaurant does. One of our appetizers were the "tabla", described as two choices of food from a list accompanied by baguette (Spanish style). Well we actually had to pay for each option and when I asked for the "baguette", the server kept telling me that it was the bread on the basket that was served even before we ordered.... Came here a second time, and it was MUCH better. We had the meatballs, grilled pork, tostones, croquetas and wine. The atmosphere (and the fact that there were more people) made the experience exponentially better. Hialeah needs a place like this! I have come here several times for lunch and heard that on Sunday's they had live music so I finally made the trip. I enjoyed almost everything I had with the exception on the Stuffed Patacones .. The Patacones themselves were crispy and tasty but they were stuffed w sausage that was too salty. The garlic chicken with Moro and Maduros were top notch though. And the sangria was good. The only other thing that I was a bit let down with was that the musicians were too loud so conversation was hard. I've been here several times after my first visit and cannot single out the experience, rather allow it to manifest into a continuous culinary dream. I was put onto this location by a friend and have made it my go to spot ever since. Granted, judging by location, most passers-by's will never consider even stepping in. Trust me, this is as good as it gets in terms of Spanish cuisine in Miami-Dade, never mind it's in Hialeah. Every dish is served fresh, great preparation and never of the frozen variety, not even the kids menu items. Live music is played on weekends, prices are super-powered and get this, they offer excellent choices in beer. I think this is the ONLY Spanish restaurant with this sort of craft beer menu. Their American food is to write for as well. No complaints, support a local gem. read more

Don't expect anything formal, it's friendly hotties on the phone, behind the bar and a Cuban style laissez faire atmosphere. A little gem in Hialeah. Great food, good service and a super enjoyable show Friday nights. Cover for the show is $5 per person, which is more than worth it. The surf and turf pincho was amazing at just $7.95 ea. You can't go wrong with Croquetas de bacalao, tabla mixta and truffle fries. Thursday it's kareoke and there are also shows on Saturday and Sunday though not the same artists as on Friday, Eric and Yasmin were wonderful. Hope to be back soon. read more
