I came here last night for an open mic night, and was super excited to try out their tapas. We had: Calamari, Ceviche, and Spanish Nachos. - The Calamari breading was a bit thicker than I am used to, but was pretty tasty. - The Ceviche was served with bread. I feel the Ceviche could have been more flavorful, and the fish could have been less tough. - The Spanish Nachos came with some steak (which was pretty good), but the chips were covered in way too much oil! This place is AMAZING. It's super clean and the food was fresh. We had tostones rellenos with shrimp, masitas and Chorizo, Lamp Chops and the paella. The tostones and Maduros were cooked on the top. They tasted super fresh. The paella didn't even smell fishy it was an over great experience. I am definitely coming back. Strip mall has the perfect diamond hiding away to keep one guessing. La Bodeguita has great bar area; booth, table top and high top group tables available in the restaurant. Menu selections with great Spanish and American fare. We selected tapas after reading the reviews. The Boquerones (anchovies) were super fresh, tasty, and plentiful for two people. Masitas (pork chunks) with peppers and onions was perfectly cooked and delish!! Then the Deditos de Mahi (Dolphin fingers) were fresh, crispy strips of love! We, also, ordered Caldo Gallego (bean soup), which was super delicious! The wine list was equally impressive. We are going back for sure. Seems there is live music on occasion, as well as Karaoke on Thursday evenings. By the way, our service was awesome, too. Parking is limited at the front, but we noticed a sign for "additional parking in the back." Enjoy! read more

My girl had arroz con camarones y pollo (rice with shrimp and chicken) Horrible it was extremely wet we asked them to cook it more so they can dry it up more they did it was exactly the same she didn't eat it we didn't complain. We Went to this restaurant for the first time and loved it! The food and service was excellent. We ordered cod croquettes, Spanish omelette, caldo gallego, mixed pincho and lacon con papas. Everything was super yummy, including the congri that came as side. As we were leaving, we saw a line of people waiting to go in to dine and watch the Flamenco Show they have. We are already planning to go back again. But next time I would love to dine while watching the Flamenco show. Walked in for lunch on a Saturday and there was quiet a few people. Overall, it was good. The manchego and Serrano croquetas were DELICIOUS. The tostones with shrimp: AMAZING! The caldo Gallego was good. The garlic mushrooms were very tasty; wish they would've been a bit more cooked. The churrasco pincho was good too. Ambiance was nice. This restaurant is AMAZING from the owners to the wait staff!! They will work with you to make any event a memorable experience. The food is not only delicious, but the portions are also quite generous. The service is fast and the live show is AWESOME!! We had a blast celebrating my mom's 80th Birthday there last week. She was the queen for that evening. They made her birthday the most special it's ever been and I thank them for that. It was truly an unforgettable night for both her and myself. Best kept secret. Especially in its location in Hialeah, but definitely a must try if you have not been here. You will not be disappointed. My mother lives only a few blocks away from this little gem but I always had second thoughts about trying it out I finally decided it was time to find out how good or bad it is and ordered thru UberEats. Let me tell you that I was definetely plesanlty surprised! The food was excellent. We tried quite a few dishes and everything was very tasty and well prepared. The paella was very good and had quite a lot of seafood. My mom had the churrasco and it was perfectly grilled and was a very large portion. I had the picanha which was tender and flavorful as well as enough for lunch the next day. We also tried 3 different soups, the creme of cheese, the lobster bisque and the caldo gallego ~ all three were very good. And the mariquitas were quite good, very crispy and perfectly sliced. Oh and the pork belly! If you like chicharrones (who doesn't) you must order the pork belly! So as you can imagine, we will soon try this place again. This place is great. The food and atmosphere is very good. We've eaten here several times and had a birthday party here that was fantastic. However, if you plan to eat outside on their balcony get ready to breathe in cigarette smoke. Quite hard to imagine why they would allow this. The tables outside are all very close to one another and the smoke is awful. Not a good policy considering most people were not smoking but the two couples that were make the whole place smell disgusting. Too bad. We left and wont go back. read more

Visiting my lovely hialeah and find out there is a tapas joint with great prices and a wall full of wine to choose from and owned by the parents of a old good friend of mines! I show up with a party of 4 about an hour and a half before closing. The waiter promptly visited our table and told us the kitchen would be closing soon but not until our order was placed. We wanted a semi-sweet red wine and he provided a recommendation that we were all very fond of! The bottle was done very quickly and our waiter made a recomendation for a semi-sweet white wine of which we also enjoyed! We ordered the mixed tabla as our appetizer that offered an array of thinly sliced ham, chorizo, salami, cheeses, & olives. Great choice! The meats and cheeses were extremely fresh to go along with the complimentary bread and olive oil..... hmmmmmm!!! Main entrees for our table consisted of: Paella, Sopa de Caldo Gallego, Chorizo a la Vino, Churrazco, & rinonada. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious!!!! Extremely satisfied with the food we were served being the time we walked in.... before closing. The waiter was GREAT and on point with the service, recommendations, attentiveness, and inviting us for the comedy and live music in the future. The prices are amazing and very reasonable for large families I would say! I recommend this place to all and will definitely visit when I am back in town! read more

Went back last night...food is still great as was service. There was a show, a couple of people singing. When I asked for the bill, there was a charge of $5 per person for the show. Nobody ever said anything to us about the restaurant charging. Mind you, we got there at 7 before any show and we didn't know anything about it. If you wanna charge people for watching the show, that's fine as long as you disclose it to your customers! So, if you happen to not be finished with your meal before the show starts, you have to pay even if you just thought you were going for a dinner?? It pains me to give them this review because I really like this place...but I also don't like being duped. It's super shady and I hope the owner reads this review so that he can improve how he runs his restaurant. Duping his clients into a hidden charge will not get your customers back in. read more

Such an Intimate, worthwhile, authentic place! Interesting mix of Spanish/Cuban influence one example being the paella with plantains; being in hialeah I expected nothing less. Flamenco show at 9pm was absolutely great! Cuban guitarist, box drum player, dancer, & singer. We didn't want to leave, played until about 11:30pm. LOVE THIS PLACE! ALL CAPS!!! If you haven't heard about this place or been here then you are missing out on something you didn't know you needed! I've been here a couple of times and the food is bomb. It's mostly Spanish but there's Cuban also (I mean it's in Hialeah, of course there is Cuban). I often tell people not to be so quick to dismiss Hialeah. Hialeah truly is a diamond in the rough. This place has super nice servers AND great food. They have live flamenco shows on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sundays they have a nice piano player playing soothing music. Their Fridays and Saturdays get PACKED for the shows. You MUST make reservations if you want to see the musical performance. I believe if I'm not mistaken it's at 8:45 when it begins. The food can carry this place but the performance and atmosphere takes it to a whole other level. Simply fantastic. I highly suggest ordering drinks and food from the tapas menu (tapas are the Spanish small plates that are meant to be eaten when one is drinking). Just do tapas and drinks if you aren't too hungry. That way you can sample a little bit of everything. Btw the garlic shrimp tapas was out of this world spectacular. If you do the tapas/drinks and still want to do a strong plate then I suggest the paella de mariscos. OMG THESE PPL ARE NUTS! They are handling out good food, at a good value, loaded with quality ingredients!!!! My mom's paella was loaded with seafood!!! Jumbo shrimp! JUMBO! You'd think this would be the norm everywhere but lately no restaurant does this anymore. It's like an alternative universe! These people are doing it right! I LOVE THEM!!! Really disappointed at this place. We went on a Wed and regular hours are supposed to be until 11pm, however when we arrived at 9:45pm we were told that the kitchen will close at 10pm and we needed to order fast. We said OK, sat down and ordered right away, however when the waitress left with our order (just soups and an entree) she came right back and said that the kitchen had already been cleaned up and that they were not going to serve our food. It was not even 10pm yet. My suggestion: they should change their closing time to 9:30pm instead of misleading customers into believing that they close at 11pm. Or indicate that after 9:30pm only wine and tapas are available. Definitively we will not going back. read more

This is probably one of the worst places I have ate Cuban-American food at.. I had heard a lot of good things about this place and I can't stress enough how HORRIBLE it was. To start off our server (blonde girl) wasn't attentive, I let her know that it was my first time and she just said ok... not informative what so ever. a tale of two experiences. I went about a month ago, and had a phenomenal time. this place is small, well set up and really a neat spot. the man who I assume is the owner was wonderful and took care of me well. fast forward to last night, walked in at 7 ish on a Friday, empty restaurant. the hostess asks 'solo para comer?' I tell her 'no solo quiero una cerveza' after rolling her eyes and arguing with the owner, we're finally invited to sit at the bar. the two bartenders proceed to ignore us for a good five minutes, before one walks over and says "hi what you want?" "...menu would be good?" as she rudely slams them down, runs her hand over what I assume is the beer list, and walks away. after sitting five more minutes with nobody paying attention to us, we decide to leave. which then of course incites them paying attention. four star experience the first time, complete zero star experience last. never, ever, ever again. read more
