Solid burrito pop up in a parking lot! We got one sausage and one bacon burrito and they were $12-$14 each. They were pretty big so def worth the cost in what you get. Is it the best burrito I've ever had? No, but it is solid and worth the stop by if you are nearby. The sauce was interesting, I wasn't sure I liked it at first since it was kind of tangy but it definitely grew on me! They're only open on the weekends, and there can be a long line if you arrive late (we got there maybe 15 mins after they opened on a saturday and there wasn't much of a wait). I thought it was very yummy, potatoes didn't overwhelm the burrito like other places that have way too much potato! This place is HORRIBLE. It has ruined every other breakfast burrito for me. Now I can never move away from Monterey Park, because I know no matter where I go, I'll never find a burrito as good as they make. They are not stingy with the fillings, you can choose bacon, sausage, or veggie, or mix and match (for extra, I think, but it's worth it). I love the bacon breakfast quesadilla. My only complaint is that because they jam it so full with the filling, it can be messy to eat and fall apart. But that's not a real complaint because a handful of napkins and a fork to pick up the dropped innards of the quesadilla will handle that problem easily. The food is good, but the sauces are TO DIE FOR. The green salsa, I can't even describe. I always order a few extra to use throughout the week, it's just that good. And I don't know what they put in the aioli, but it's addicting. Extra sauces are an extra charge, but I promise it's worth it. You're gonna want to drink them right from the little to go cup. I wish they were open 7 days a week. Please go support them so maybe one day they can open up a permanent spot. Service is on point, they are super nice, and it's really awesome to watch how hard they hustle in the summer heat over hot grills to deliver a quality product. They take cash, zelle, and Venmo. I had the pleasant surprise of discovering these guys at my local gym, they were setup in front of LA fitness Montebello on October 31st. I decided to get a burrito on my way out and it was delicious! I ordered the Bacon burrito and added the optional sausage. It didn't taste like your typical breakfast burrito, it was more complex. It had several satisfying textures/ flavors. The owner uses thyme which I love. It had potato, egg, beans, avocado, sausage, bacon, and included a delicious green salsa. The salsa was the perfect amount of spice for my liking. I felt like I got my moneys worth because the burrito is stuffed. I've been to this pop-up three times. I live around the corner. Every time has been very different from the last. The first time was fine. The burrito was bland, but the salsas definitely made up for it. The second time there was a longer wait, but I could see that they were getting popular. So I didn't mind waiting 20-25 minutes. But this last time, it wasn't just about the wait. It was about the communication. They had a big phone order come in prior to a few of us placing orders in person. But the person taking the orders, and as a matter fact, no one else working bothered to mention that there was a big order that they had to fulfill first. When you're taking orders that are smaller, it's just courtesy to let them know "OK it's going to take us about 45 minutes or more to get your order out, because we have to fulfill a larger order. Do you wanna wait? I can take down your number, give you a call when it's ready." but there was nothing. After waiting for 40 minutes, I went up and I asked them how much longer it was going to be. They told me about another 30 minutes, and that's when they mentioned the phone order. I couldn't wait, I had to get ready to work. But I could tell other people were bothered. I asked to cancel my order. They did refund my money in cash. But I had paid them with Venmo, and included a tip. Which they did not refund. They don't have a really great method of preparing some of the cooked components of the burrito. That day in particular, they were peeling and cutting potatoes right there. I just think they need more experience in communication & prep, especially for a pop up. And more recently, my roommate bought one, same complaints still stand: bland burrito, undercooked potatoes, long wait, but salsas are great. read more

Today was the day to try it out and I'm glad I did. I'm not bibig on brbreakfast but when I tell you these burritos are so flavorful and that green salsa elevates the flavors through the roof! Bacon breakfast burrito was more like a vegetarian burrito. 95% of the filling was guac, salsa, beans and potatos. The bacon was so small I thought it was some gimmicky bacon seasoning. I respect them for getting the bag on the weekend, especially in the morning, but for ~$12/13 I should at least get one slice of bacon lmao. The texture of the burrito was also not too great. So much mush going on with the salsa+guac+beans. Sure, I ordered this so I should've expected it, but I didn't expect most of the burrito to be side toppings mixed together as the entree. I honestly don't give many reviews. I was fortunate to wake up early and try these burritos the sausage burrito. I am so in love with the flavor and the price is extremely fair vs many other burrito spots. The ingredients are fresh and sauce is unique. If you ever had lucky boy this is very similar only better. The owner is a very cool guy. I recommend you go early because they do sell out and you will miss out. I will be recommending this place to my non LA friends. This is a true LA breakfast burrito. Exactly what you need in the morning. It's a walk-up tent that's constantly busy for good reason. You can smell the well seasoned rosemary potatoes as you walk up, and the owner is super nice. We fed a party of seven, cheap and easy. I got the sausage breakfast burrito, and every bite was mega flavorful and had generous helpings of everything good. Plenty of eggs, sausage, potatoes, cheese, and amazing pico. They crisp up the tortillas and the special sauce is SO GOOD. They have vegetarian options available as well. Highly recommend. Definitely want to go back. I ordered the breakfast bacon quesadilla, sausage breakfast burrito, and the veggies breakfast burrito. All three were delicious, but if I had to choose, I'd get the quesadilla! It was soo good! It comes with a bunch of sautéed veggies, and I choose bacon as opposed to sausage. Next time, I'm getting sausage. All the different ingredients for each item all went well together. The green salsa was tasty, too. Lots of garlic! My one observation was that the green sauce just had a little too much salt, IMO. Other than that, it was all delicious and will definitely be back. If you haven't tried them, you should. I saw something on IG about their breakfast burritos and decided to give them a try. Followed their page on IG, and their story showed that they were only accepting cash, zelle, or venmo and using a different phone number for this weekend. Cool, so I gave them a few calls because no one picked up. Once I got thru, I placed an order for 1 bacon and 1 sausage burrito, the girl said 15-20 minutes. Perfect, since it will be that amount of time to drive over. When I got there, I paid $14 for bacon and $12 for sausage and was surprised my order wasn't ready yet. Also, the girl taking my money got confused because another worker was taking money out of the cash till at the same time. He took $40 and ran out of there. I got my change and took a seat with a few customers who were already waiting. Over heard the workers' conversation about the girl leaving for college but found it disappointing cause it gave me the impression that they weren't focused on the orders but rather carried a casual conversation about other things. The main chef would keep yelling, "hot!" or "behind!" Reminded me of an episode of The Bear. But what he would scream out next was, "Cesar has been waiting, just give him sauce.. he ordered sausage - give him extra bacon. " I'm guessing that they were getting further and further behind on their orders and needed to compensate for the longer wait times. When they called him up, the girl apologized that they didn't have any bags for their carry out orders (guess that's why the other worker took cash out from the till). The customer produced his own plastic bag from his pocket. Then they called me for my order. They, too, gave me extra sauces. The total wait time from placing the order was 40 minutes. The burritos were decent size but tasted sour. I like the taste of lime/lemon, but maybe it was too much acid in the Pico de gallo? The burritos were mainly full of beans and not a lot of protein. Also, I was surprised that they cut every burrito in half. My burritos were soggy from the center being cut by the time I was able to sit down and eat. I wanted to give them a shot but won't go back again. Saw in their IG story posted at 12pm of a picture in the supermarket showing an empty shelf of refrigerated section. I think the only reason this place is rated so high is because the people who rated this place have never tried Jim's Burgers in Rosemead or Lucky Boy in Pasadena. Jim's and Lucky Boy is what a delicious breakfast burrito is all about. I ordered a bacon burrito and there was so little bacon I thought they gave me the vegetarian burrito by accident. I wouldn't wait in line for this. i like my potato's crispy on the inside and the potato's were rather soft when biting this burrito. This is just how I like my breakfast burrito and everyone is different. I'm also a huge fan of a good salsa. The salsa here is rather strong on the lemon/lime side. Which is great for citrus lovers but I'm not too big on such a strong sour style sauce as it takes away from the actual taste of the burrito. I do have to say that the burrito is not too oily. Despite the name saying that it's "LA", I would have to say that these are the best breakfast burritos in Monterey Park borderline Montebello/East LA. The cashier and team members are so enthusiastic and you can tell they genuinely care about their "craft". I got the sausage breakfast burrito and I love the wedges of potatoes. The overall burrito was seasoned so well as opposed to the fast to go burger/burrito/breakfast establishments located nearby. But I suppose it all depends since some may prefer hash brown type of potatoes as opposed to wedges or diced up. The green salsa was also amazing! Beware of parking, do not park in front of the small little liquor drive thru mart area because the owner or cashier will get mad at you and ask you to move your car. Try parking in the street or behind the liquor mart. Overall ambiance is outside, & can get hot so try to stay in the shade while you're waiting for your meal. Would come here again! read more

I was staying in San Gabriel and did a quick map search for breakfast. This spot popped up and I was intrigued. I ordered (1) bacon and (1) sausage burrito. I thought the bacon was delicious. My wife and daughter shared the sausage. My wife isn't big on pico de gallo but she said it was good overall. I would definitely go back again. I like supporting small businesses.
