Finally had a chance to grab breakfast from LA Breakfast Burritos again! So yummy! Loved the quesadilla, I added a second meat for $3. Had veggies and no potatoes. Burrito was huge and this was with light potatoes. Everything was quite flavorful. Love their secret sauce. Take cash or Zelle. 256 S. Had a really bad experience today, this is not a good way to run a business! We wanted to support a local business but need to warn others about it now. I called in a phone order at 8:00 for 2 burritos, waited a bit and arrived at 8:15, our burritos weren't ready or cooked. There were 3 people waiting when I arrived so they made their burritos first, then ours finished at 8:25, why call in an order if they are not going to start it until you arrive? Next I was overcharged 3 times!!!!!! In California is it illegal to charge merchant fees. There is no sign posted stating additional charges. 1. On the receipt it shows a processing fee $.87 for the burrito 2. There is an additional charge of $1 for credit fees 3. The girl added an additional tip $4.80 I did not enter When I tapped my card on the phone it does not show the total amount being charged so I was unaware until AFTER I received the email receipt. There was no option for ME to enter a tip so the merchant had to manually add that. Also I didn't sign to approve the purchase. They are maliciously overcharging everyone, do not accept these additional charges!!!!

I've passed by many times and was so surprised to see all the amazing reviews on Yelp. I of course had to try it. Especially since I've been craving breakfast burritos. The menu is simple yet customizable. I got the bacon breakfast burrito with no bacon but you can also sub for sausage or add stuff etc. BF got the sausage burrito and the sausage pieces were big which is good. Our favorite things about the burritos were the soft scrambled eggs and the potatoes. The potatoes were smashed yet crispy. Absolutely delicious. They make every burrito to order so it took about 10 mins to get our food which is pretty fast. We saw them cook everything fresh and even make the guacamole fresh to order. Theres only three of them and they work well. No one seemed stressed or rushed. Even though its an outside street vendor you can tell that the ambience and good food is what keep people coming back. We paid $28 for two burritos which is a good price. The portion are big and we were full after. Thank you LA BREAKFAST BURRITOS. See you soon!

Amazing service every time I go. The breakfast burritos & quesadillas taste wonderful. From crispy bacon to beautifully golden crisp potatoes , down to the savory spicy sauce that makes the food perfection. With every bite you get sensational flavors of pico , guac, scrambled eggs with cheese. One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The atmosphere is great as well , nice shaded area so you're not completely in the sun while you wait for your order. Thank you for your hard work & dedication you put into your food.

One of the better breakfast burritos I've had in LA. The taste is solid and the portion size is decent. The price is...fine, about what I expect for LA, but I'd like the burrito to be just a little bigger to justify it. That being said, it's not unreasonable for the quality. The main drawbacks are the setup and wait. The stand is outdoors in a parking lot with very little shade, so it can get hot while waiting for your order. Wait times can be a bit long even with a few orders ahead of you, and the hours are limited which makes it tricky to catch them if you like sleeping in on the weekends. But if you can work around the wait and timing, it's worth adding to your breakfast burrito list.

Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. The service was great as well. Too bad they don't have any locations in San Diego but if I return back to visit L.A I will have to make a mandatory stop to grab some.

Was mad hungry after picking up my Black Friday haul, and found this joint nearby. I parked in the liquor store parking lot, and quickly got my order in. The person taking my order was super friendly and made sure to highlight the menu offerings. I appreciate the menu being limited to six offerings. They have a seating area within the tented area while you wait for your order, which is a nice touch. The breakfast burritos have a twist in that they put in beans; however I was willing to go out of my comfort zone, and I ordered the bacon burrito. I really like that they put in rosemary in the eggs, which was a good touch. Overall, I respect the food and the hustle, but it still left something to be desired.

However, I can still tell that the quality of the mole was high as they were extremely flavorful and had a nice consistency. Especially loved the pumpkin seed one! 1. Cazuela Oaxaqueña (5/5): Very nice, love the assortment of meats and the melted cheese at the bottom tied everything together. 2. Mole Pistache & Menta (3.5/5) The sample pumpkin seed mole tasted exactly like crushed pumpkin seeds so I thought the pistachio mole would have the same strong pistachio nut flavor. Unfortunately, I could barely taste the pistachio as it was overpowered by the spice of the jalapeño. Ordered medium rib eye but it was more like well done, a little tough to chew. 3. Quesabirrias (4/5) You could never go wrong with quesabirrias. I did wish there was more birria sauce though so it would be more juicy Service (3/5): We ordered two agua fresca refills but the waiter never came back with our drinks! We had to kindly remind them. Also, when we asked for a to-go box, they simply gave us the box and then proceeded to take away our utensils. How are we supposed to put the leftover food in the box?? All in all, I thought this restaurant put a lot of love for only a few select dishes and for the slightly expensive price and mediocre service, I'm not sure if I would come again.

Looking up 'Best carnitas in LA', and there's a good chance that 'Carnitas El Momo' will pop up in your search results list. Starting as a food truck in Boyle Heights in 2015 (which is still open), this brick-n-mortar location with indoor dining in Monterey Park opened in 2022. It ended up being a bit longer walk than I anticipated coming from the East LA Civic Center Metro station, so my brother and I were drenched in sweat on this 90+ degree day. We walked into the air conditioned uncrowded building, and were friendlily greeted, and offered a simple taco of pork burnt ends. It was good and gave us a taste of what the rest of the meal would be like. Between the two of us, we ordered a sample of each taco ($4), stuffed in a decent tortilla. The meats are available are buche (pork stomach), cueritos (pork skin), maciza (pork shoulder), and migajas (burnt ends). We also got the Mix (all the meats aptly named aPORKalypse) and also a mulitas ($12 for all the meats except stomach). Everything was ordered con todo, which meant a lot of cilantro and pickled white onion with lime wedges. I also got a large horchata ($6). There is self-serve water available near the simple salsa bar (choice of a hot green sauce, and even hotter red sauce and hot pickled peppers). All the meat is cooked in lard low and slow and seasoned according to the patriarch's (aka Momo) original receipt from Salamanca, Mexico. The slow simmering definitely was noticeable and we enjoyed the flavors. My favorite was definitely the Mix, with a nice blend of texture. I think have a crunch factor (like chicharron) would have added even more texture, but I understand that would not be authentic. Also I noted that they call buche here pork belly, which is a very different pork belly than in Far East Asian cuisine. I like buche though in moderation, and this version was very good, especially mixed with pork muscle cuts. Pork skin by itself in a taco is too much for me. I would definitely get the mulitas again, replacing the pork skin with buche, and putting on it a milder sauce than the hot ones offered...definitely need a lot of acidity to cut through the very fatty meal.

The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items).
