I really want to love this taco food truck and their revolutionary ramen taco that they are selling. We came there during non rush hour on a Wednesday. Their location is at the same place where the oil change place is, forgot the name. However, they have their own tent, chair, and table to eat outside. Why it's only 3 stars: - We came here specifically for their taco ramen. My girlfriends even came all the way from Hayward to test their new ramen menu. Verdict is their ramen noodle is too soggy for me. And their taco broth is just overwhelmingly too salty for my taste bud. Saying "I don't like this food" is way too harsh to judge someone's food, however, we are accustomed to what we eat, therefore, we have our own standard in judging if the food is too complex or has too much seasoning on it. In short, if the food doesn't satisfy one customer, it might satisfy other customers. - We also tried their tacos, lingua, beef, and grilled pork. Those tacos are delicious. Kinda need seasoning a bit more on the meat, but the meat is tender enough, which means they did a good job in tenderizing it. - We tried their cheese quesadilla as well. Pretty standard, quite solid quesadillas, quite authentic if you compared to the ones served in mexican fusion restaurants. - Aqua Fresca is nice and refreshing. Too bad horchata was sold out on that day. We didn't try their quesa birria tacos, I know we're missing out their trademark menu. But hey, maybe it will be a good reason to come back and try it next time. read more

Here's a tip: the green salsa (self serve) is spicy.. get it! I wanted to write a bad good review because I was planning on ordering the birria ramen and 4-5 quesa birria tacos but the super nice lady that took our order warned me that it's pretty big and that I should order no more than 2 so I listened but when I got home I didn't want to share w/ Gavin. Hell, I didn't think he'd want the ramen but he ate half of it leaving me to starve.. clearly exaggerating but yeah.. if I went w/ my usual ordering protocol I would have been filled w/ gluttony. I can't wait to return. They have specials on the weekends at the Willow location and they have tables setup outside... I will return this weekend. Conveniently located at the corner of Bascom and Camden Avenues in the parking lot of Quality Tune Up. This food truck offers up some good authentic Mexican food. I had questions and the Birria Ramen and and Quesa Birria. The lady taking the order was suuuuuuper nice and enthusiastically answered my questions and even offered to taste certain offerings. Since it was my first time visiting, I went with what I like and also got the recommended Quesa Birria. I ordered a Lengua super taco, Carnitas super taco, and a Carne Asada quesadilla. Lol, also got a Quesa Birria and the Mango drink. I first tried and loved the Quesa Birria with the shredded beef and cheese grilled with the homemade corn tortilla. The beef flavoring was very good with the melted cheese. And the flavor of the tortilla came out and was obvious to those non-Mexican that this was a special tortilla. Next came the Carnitas and Lengua Super taco. Both had good servings of the protein with healthy servings of salsa and lettuce again with generous savings of guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. The flour tortillas were 2 standard steamed tortillas. I liked the portions received for the cost of the meal. However, just like another review I read, I felt like the super tacos needed more seasoning. I was looking for more flavor and crisp from the carnitas when the shredded pork meets the oil in the frying process. The crispy bits from the fry really make carnitas for me. And the Lengua could have simply used a little salt to bring out the juices and flavor of the meat. The Asada quesadilla satisfied my need for having a good char on the meat. After charing, it was chopped to the perfect sized small cubes of meat and mixed in with cheese and salsa inside the large flour tortilla with guacamole, salsa and sour cream on the side. So good! The Mango Fresca made for a refreshing drink to wash it all down. I will be returning for more. read more

We have become regulars here taco Tuesday brought us here and the delicious lime cucumber agua. Dollar tacos is never chinsy and the service is really good. Don't forget to bring cash and be patient as it gets busy and parking can be crazy. My favorite tacos are the pastor they are very generous and flavorful for being $1! Came here based on their IG and the taco quesa birras. We ended up getting the queso birras and the ramen noodles. The queso birras were solid but I had hoped that there was more of a crisp on the cheese. Overall they are solid and are stuffed with onions, meat and all sorts of deliciousness. Found on yelp and decided to try for a lunch drive by. Very pleased with the food! I had the quesabirria's ordered 3 with a small consome and it was delicious! Really flavorful birria in a nice corn tortilla (I think homemade?) and then coupled with the consome is a must. I brought home for lunch, so added some avocado which made the whole thing perfect! In total, not cheap, $5 for each quesabirria and $3 consome with tax and tip was $20, but it was a solid meal and the tummy is very happy! read more

La Burrita has made their location on Bascom Avenue a more permanent location. It's a newer food truck but is servicing multiple locations that definitely appreciate the elevated quality of food. All items are made to order so the wait can be slightly longer than average but everything was worth the wait. My orders: Tacos Lengua y Cabeza - $2.50. Authentic and delicious. Each taco is served with a generous portion of meat and a side of sautéed onions, peppers, and salsa. There's also higher priced combination plates available. Quesobirria - $5. All the rage nowadays and nice to see another local vendor offer the tacos grilled with cheese and shredded meat. Of note, these are not served with Birria broth to dip so you may have to order separately. The meat is shredded beef. Ramen Birria - $8.99. The takeout is a more compact white container but is just as delicious as the larger menu container but still savory. I loved the Birria broth and it was filled with large chunks of Birria beef. It is also available separately and sold as consommé in both small ($3) and large ($6) container sizes. The Tapatio instant noodles are cooked nicely and mixed well with the broth and added some carbs to be more filling. Have now ordered twice. Agua Fresca - $6. Enjoyed the large mango Agua Fresca. My daughter wanted Quesabirria tacos, so that's what we were going to get. Ordered 3 for her and myself. The tacos are pretty delicious, full of cheese and meat. At a $5 per taco, these are more than any of the other places I've gone to. The consommé was good, not great. Was more of a broth, but still good flavor overall. And also, it's $3 for a small, as some places they just give it to you for free. It's like ordering the dip as a extra when you order a French dip sandwich. All part of the experience/meal. The location is at a gas station, not the coolest ambiance, but the tables are clean and plenty should you stay and eat. I'd probably return as these weren't terrible by any means, just $$$. Came here around 8pm last night and there was only one other person waiting for their order. Was immediately greeted by the kind cashier (everyone was wearing masks). I got an ad on ig for the quesabirria tacos and was immediately shocked by the price. $5 a taco! Also consommé doesn't come with it, you have to buy it on the side. My bf and I ordered 4 tacos and a small ($3) cup on consommé. Service was quick and the tacos were piping hot when it came out. Tacos were yummy but a bit underwhelming. Size of the tacos were twice the size of a normal taco but the queso, birria, cilantro and onion inside were a bit lacking. Same goes for the consommé, a much lighter broth with a skimp amount of cilantro and onion. Let's talk about the salsas though, cause the salsa verde was bomb. A surprising kick of heat and good flavor. The orange salsa was spicy but lacked flavor. Overall was decent but not worth the steep price in my opinion. I got a taco plate which comes with 3 tacos, refried beans, and rice. The rice was really dry. The tacos were also lightly topped with onions and cilantro (too light for my preference). Onions and cilantro don't even cost a lot so I don't know why they skimped on that. I got the lengua, carne asada, and Al pastor tacos. The lengua taco was the best one. The carne asada was dry and the Al pastor was unremarkable. I would come back just for the lengua taco and maybe try the other proteins (not carne asada or Al pastor). My family and I drove from Santa Clara to this place for taco Tuesday which is $1.50, I called ahead to ask about details. They didn't share about it being cash only... o was charged $50 more for 20 tacos and when I said something they were rude and their cooks jumped out of the truck and tried to fight me. This place is utterly unprofessional, and my mom got food poisoning from their lengua taco. The portions on taco Tuesday are minimal, there's more tortilla than meat. All I got to say is wow what a disappointment this place was with 3.9 stars on yelp. Myself and the fam gave this new place a chance and it was a mistake. I ordered the super asada burrito and received stale rice and beans with very little asada. There was no guacamole or sour cream. The burrito is a lot bigger then most places but you are really just paying for old rice and beans. After about 5 flavorless bites it went in the garbage where it belongs. Saw this great deal where it was 12 tacos for $30 on certain days and I thought that was a pretty good deal. Only thing was it's only available during the afternoon. Then I finally got the chance to see another deal where it was 3 quesabirria tacos and consome for $12. Had to jump on the deal! So first things first, the tacos weren't bad but tbh they weren't all that. I think the 1 thing this lacked was flavor. After dipping them into the consome, it was just so bland. I got a hint of spice but mainly like the fatty juice from the consome. Luckily the sauces here were good because it honestly saved the tacos. They have this orange sauce which has a nice hint of spicy and slight kick. Reminds me a little of the sauce from La Vics. They also have this green sauce which is pretty good. Somewhat chunky and I want to say it has a slight bit of avocado but I could be wrong. The sizes of the taco weren't too bad and I think they're worth the price for the size.
