First dinner during our vacation in Clearwater and it didn't disappoint! We started off with the salsa and queso and both were delicious, especially the queso. Good enough to drink out of the dish and we had enough left over to add to our entrees, haha. Our table got a mixture of things, various styles of tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas. All were super yummy and there were no leftovers. The refried beans were so good, don't skip on those. My girlfriend got a margarita called "My Heart" and she loved it. The price was great as well! We stopped in for drinks and were off to a great start. I had the Don Julio Reposado margarita, which was excellent, smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. Holly ordered a mojito, and it was just as good, fresh and perfectly refreshing. From the summer specials menu, we tried the shrimp honey lime tower. It came with a creamy cilantro sauce and fragrant cilantro rice, along with avocado, salsa, and red onions. The dish was rich and flavorful with a lovely, creamy mouthfeel, but still bright and well balanced. Every bite came together beautifully. We also ordered the quesabirria tacos, and they delivered exactly what you'd hope for. The beef was incredibly tender, the cheese was perfectly melty and satisfyingly stringy, and the shells were nicely crisped for that ideal texture. The birria consommé was savory and comforting. The chips and salsa were fine, though I personally would've loved a bit more onion, jalapeño, and cilantro in the salsa. That's just my preference, and everyone has their own take on the perfect salsa. It was a simple meal, so we didn't need much attention, but the service we received was solid and attentive when needed. The space itself is beautiful. It's brand new, spacious, well lit, and has a welcoming atmosphere. There's a large bar with about 50 different tequilas behind it. So lots of variety in margaritas in my future. I hope they're able to pack it out on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm rooting for them to stick around longer than the short lived Village Inn that was here before. It's right around the corner from us, and we've been missing a good upscale Mexican spot nearby. We'll definitely be back for more margaritas. read more

We really enjoyed the newly opened Pablanos. It's located behind Cheddar's where the Village Inn used to be. This ambiance is upscale and cozy. We started with the Queso and chips. It was tasty. We were there for lunch and decided to get their combo plates. We opted for the Tostada with ground meat and the Enchilada Suiza. The dish came with options for sides and we got the refried beans and Mexican rice. It was all very good. There was a little mix-up on our order but it was handled perfectly. In the area with family decided to try this local spot as the reviews were great. Called for a Togo, staff answered and were knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered 3 meals, was told 10 minutes and it actually took us 10 minutes to get there so perfect. Food was good, crunchy supreme beef tacos were soggy and fell apart on the bottom by the time I was able to get back to eat them. Queso app was good spicy and chips were wonderfully crunchy. Mexican rice was basic and refried beans had a weird taste like a chemical. Prices are average cost like 43$. Not bad, not the best very average Mexican food. read more

10/10 food!! This was so so good we got the carnitas enchiladas suizas, chicken tortilla soup, and the honey cilantro lime shrimp tower. Queso was very good and flan took this meal to another level. Great Mexican restaurant. Our first time in and everything was delicious. We wanted to try it all. The chips, salsa and beans with queso are great starters. The poblano stuffed with cheese is a delightful winner. We also tried a chicken entree that was delicious. Haven't tried a fried ice cream in years but felt the need today and it too was on point. Our server Nicola made it all come together with excellent suggestions and service with a smile. The place is beautiful with a relaxed and upscale ambiance not normally found in Mexican restaurants. Cinco da Mayo.. of course we needed A Mexican meal. Went to the new Poblano's restaurant on Roosevelt Blvd. It was ok. Decor is cute, very clean, service is good. They were busy but nothing out of the ordinary for a restaurant.. got seated immediately. Food.. I got the chicken Fajitas tasty but chicken was in " shards" not big pieces ( slivers" maybe) few sliced green peppers/ few onions. And of course 3 tortillas. What disturbed me was no sour cream/ pico de gallo/ guacamole. I did ask for the sour cream ($1.50 extra/ guacamole extra/ pico de gallo... yes both extra at $ 2.00 each) menu says its supposedly goes with the dinner. My companion had the Low Carb Burrito Bueno, well 1st off it had rice/ beans/ no guacamole and probably wasn't a low carb tortilla soo disappointing. Then to top it off I ordered the double house Margarita was good only issue they served it in a flimsy plastic cup. I did ask for a glass... well that didn't happen. Price was a little steep considering what we didn't get with the meal, Also more carbs then my friend wanted....disappointed. I know they just opened but no excuses. I am so happy that Poblano's has finally opened up near me. It is such a beautiful restaurant, with delicious food and drinks, super friendly employees and has a dog friendly patio. We sat on the patio since I brought my dog, and started with cocktails and the complimentary chips and salsa. We also ordered the queso. We really loved the queso. The frozen Margarita, Jalapeño Margarita, My Heart Margarita and giant glass of Pacifico beer were all enjoyed by my family. I ordered the Taquitos, and they were nice and crispy. My daughter really liked the BTO burrito. I was amazed by my husband's Enchiladas Suprema which consisted of a chicken, a beef, a bean, and a cheese enchilada. It was so nice to sample for different kinds of enchiladas. For the perfect ending of our meal we shared the banana burrito which was amazing!!! We will definitely be back. I am so in love with the beautiful crystal chandeliers and the beautiful decor inside Poblano's. read more

I never write bad reviews because I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but wow. This experience was historically terrible! Everything bad you could imagine. Got seated right away (very empty restaurant ), asked for water, took 15 minutes. Service was extremely slow the entire time. We asked for a large margarita that my wife and I could share. The server brought us the smallest margarita I have ever seen. Food was utterly tasteless. There were no napkins. We asked 3 times and eventually the manager brought us some. I had often visited Pablanos on McMullen Booth and was ecstatic to find that there was one opening nearby. So far, I've been to this location twice and both times I was VERY satisfied. Izamar waited on me both times and my service was excellent. I had a carne asada burrito with a side of rice and picante salsa on my first visit. Outstanding!!!! Then, on my return, I had carnitas!!! Really Good!!!! I also tried a few margaritas, they were amazing! The whole establishment is nicely decorated and I was treated very well! I WILL return soon!!!! read more

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The atmosphere and decor are absolutely beautiful and create an amazing dining experience. The food was outstanding, easily a 10/10, and the portion sizes were perfect. The desserts were also excellent and a great way to finish the meal. On top of that, our server, Nate, was friendly, funny, and provided exceptional service throughout the visit. We came on Cinco de Mayo, and although they were busy, we did not have to wait long at all. Everything was still amazing from start to finish.
