    Disgusting watered down aji
    PC F.

THEY SHOULD CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!! the rice had no flavor, or the meat! The sarza de criolla tasted like pure vinegar. The AJI (green sauce) was watered down!! Who puts pater in the aji??? Oh yeah so double the amount. Smh. This food sucks!! I feel they are lying to all those people that live in ridgefield park. Smh sad. Want real peruvian food..go to paterson. Not the best area but alot better and real peruvian food for half the price!!!

Went to dinner this evening with friends and I have to say that I was pleasantly delighted. Great Space, covid friendly, friendly staff and tasty food. Our party ordered lomo saltado, two fish dishes, tallarines saltando and bistec a lo pobre. I have to say that being 1/2 Peruvian myself I am quite picky with Peruvian food. Although not like NY Peruvian places, This place did not disappoint. The fried yuca was absolutely delicious. The fried fish was delicious. The lomo saltado was well seasoned, juicy and abundant. The tallarines saltado were good as well. The ceviche mixto had a great taste and presentation. The fish pretty much melted in our mouths.

Came in on a Friday evening around dinner time with family. We had a group of 8, but had no problems getting seated. There is mainly metered street parking, but you might get lucky with residential parking if you're willing to drive around and wait for a bit. For the appetizer, we ordered the Chicharron de Calamares for the table. I would say this dish is large enough for 4 people to share. Calamari tasted a bit too starchy but the yucca fries were great. For the main meal, I ordered the Lomo Saltado Mixto. The sauce was very flavorful and was easily the best part of the dish. You can mix it with the meat or rice. The dish is meant to be family style so there was plenty to take home. Very friendly staff and it's BYOB. Worth a try if you're in the area!

My lord the Anticuchos here with the red salsa is the best I ever had. It comes with corn and sliced potatoes. I also order asado de res(beef) it comes with white rice beans and criolla salad. If you're like spicy ask them to bring the red salsa and splash a little over the plate. Bring some beers and enjoy the company here at La Casa Del Chef

I made a reservation and they've respected my request to be seated inside. The atmosphere inside is very vivid, like the name of the restaurant... it feels like you are in a party. My only wish is that they would play Peruvian music so the experience would be more immersive with the food. The menu is big and one of the things that I've liked was to see a lot of dishes that are not common in a Peruvian Restaurant outside Perú... like Aji de Gallina, Anticuchos and Picarones. Now the most important, the food... the quality was very good, since the plates arrived to our table, the smell and the presentation was a temptation to go all the way in. The ingredients used felt fresh and made to order. Every plate had its own characteristic and flavour... good size too. The "choco lucuma" cake for dessert was a great finish... moisty and the intensity of the chocolate and lucuma flavor to a good ratio. If you have the chance to try it... go for it, you'll not regret.

The menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Peruvian flavors with distinct Japanese and Chinese influences that make this cuisine so unique. The atmosphere is modest, warm, and incredibly welcoming, and our server was absolutely terrific. I had the Bistec a la Pobre ($22) -- a perfectly-marinated hanger steak served over generous portions of french fries, white rice topped with a freshly fried egg, and a side of grilled sweet plantains. YUM! The flavors were absolutely spot on. My dining companion loved her Pollo Saltado ($19) -- a generous portion of tender, boneless marinated chicken sauteed with onion, peppers, and tomato served over french fries with a side of white rice. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Peru Chikann is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Peru Chikann has added a surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

Was around the area and wanted something different. Couldn't have meat today and they were able to do the green spaghetti dish with shrimp instead of the usual steak. :) he recommended the soup with chicken (going to taste the broth but I've never tried Peruvian soup before), and their purple corn drink (highly recommend) which I also never had. The soup (pic below) is so good with that squeeze of lime and the Peruvian hot sauce (it's not that spicy but gives the soup EXTRA flavors that my mind and heart is so grateful for! Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.
