This was our first time in this restaurant and the server Kathleen is exceptional. We had a full Italian experience. Started with the caprese, then I had the spaghetti bolognese and my husband had the veal parmesan. We also had the meatballs with ricotta cheese and the cheese risotto. All of this was exceptional. For dessert, we had the dark chocolate mousse which is outstanding and my husband had the cappuccino and I had the latte. Fabulous ending to a fabulous dinner.

This was our first time here & we loved it ! The pasta is homemade & delicious! The tiramisu is so yummy & we shared it ! It's homemade too! Small & quaint restaurant. Def worth the price Meals are fulfilling

Their very strong ice tea - needed to dilute it with water.

Hubby and I wanted to try a restaurant we've never been to for our date night so we chose La Casa di Norma. Located in a strip store plaza on Hwy 19 in Crystal River, it's been in business for years. We moved here in 2005 and Norma's was there. There are a couple of outside tables but we opted for inside dining because it was a little chilly for me. Inside is a small but elegant dining room. The decor is what I would describe as Old World Italian. Their nine tables had cloth linens, crystal glassware and nice quality plates. A small Crystal candelabra in the middle of the table lent a romantic feel to our dining experience. The walls were tastefully decorated with wine bottle racks and artwork. Several crystal chandeliers hung from their drop down ceiling however, there were several white ceiling tiles with large dark water stains that were incongruent with the upscale look of the decor. One nice decorating touch was colored lighting around the floorboards, however on one side half of the lights didn't work! A little upkeep with fixing a few things would go a long way in making this tiny restaurant classier. We were greeted quickly by our waitress - the only waitress we seen but then again we were the first customers for dinner. Their menu has plenty of options to choose from however, on their page of daily options two items were not available. Their soup de jour and their osso bucco were not available to us but were on the menu. I was disappointed with no soup option since they do not give you a salad or cup of soup with your entree. Everything is a la carte. You can order a salad and they have several delicious sounding options to chose from. They range anywhere from $8.95 to $16.95. We opted for unsweetened ice teas even though Norma's offers upscale wines and coffees. Our ice tea came out without the lemon slices we asked for and it was very, very strong and "old" tasting - like it was sitting out for quite awhile. Very disappointing but we diluted it with our water at the table and added Stevia liquid which I carry with me everywhere and it made our tea slightly more palatable. Our waitress did bring out a bread basket with four small ciabotta bread rolls freshly made and a dipping sauce that I've never seen before. Hubby said "What's this?" And I replied it looks like an Italian salsa but my word was it delicious with the warm homemade rolls!! From what I could taste and see it was a small bowl of good quality extra virgin olive oil with minced garlic, oregano flakes, red pepper flakes, chiffonade of fresh basil leaves and small cubes of fresh red Roma tomatoes. Well worth dipping into!! I chose for my main dish their Chicken Scarpariello. Boneless, skinless chicken breast with Italian sausage, hot pepper rings and kalamata olives in a brown sauce. It comes with your choice of vegetable of the day - which was broccoli or a side of pasta. I chose linguine with aglio olio sauce (garlic oil sauce). I have to say that it was extremely tasty except that my thinly sliced chicken breast was tough from overcooking. The Italian sausage was tender and very good but also sliced so very thinly. They were generous with the kalamata olives but this made my dish a tad briny so if you love salt like I do then this is the dish for you. My linguine was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. My only complaint was for the price of $18.95 I felt their portions were skimpy. But I know that's the way of these upscale restaurants. It was a nice dining experience but truthfully I don't need all the fancy ambience. I rather have a causal setting with hearty portions of great food at reasonable prices and entrees that come with a small side salad or cup of soup included in the price. Moschello's in Homosassa still remains my favorite Italian restaurant in our county.

We ordered the veal piccata and the veal marsala, $26 each. Both were excellent, and came with a side of pasta. Service was efficient and cheerful. The restaurant is in a small strip mall, but step inside and it's a quaint mom and pop in Tuscany.

We ordered Uber eats. Two eggplant Parmesan's for $55 (not including fees and tip) definitely not worth it extremely small portions very disappointed.

It's a small deli with a few tables for a place to eat in but they do mostly take out. It may be small but it's big on flavor! My husband went there to order us sandwiches because we've been hearing good things about them. I have to agree with the general consensus! I have my husband pick me up their Italian sub called Capone's Italian. Made with Boar's Head meats : Capicola, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Picante Provolone Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and their deli dressing served on a 10 inch demi baguette roll. It was delicious! Definitely a hearty sandwich so it might make two meals for you as it did for me. My husband had their Italian Sausage sandwich which he loved too! It was large enough to feed two people and scrumptious. He said he would definitely order it again. Cappo's Italian Deli also offers a variety of different side salads such as potato salad, pasta salad and even chickpea salad along with their Chef salads, Greek salads and Italian salads. They offer desserts also - not a large variety but they look delicious! Assorted Cannolis which come in two sizes : Large and Mini plus Cheesecakes and Assorted Cakes. Hubby brought home a mini Pistachio Cannoli as a treat and I have to say it was scrumptious. The filling was perfect - not too sweet just perfect sweet and it was loaded with crushed pistachios. The shell was crispy and very fresh tasting. My hubby was treated very nicely by the lady at the cash register and the gentleman who made our sandwiches. They were friendly and prompt in their service. We will be stopping by again to try their other sandwiches and pasta meals that they offer only on certain days of the week. I cannot wait to try those too! A very nice addition to Citrus County Community!

KC Wine Bistro intrigued us with its varied menu offerings. Upon walking in, we were asked to sit anywhere. We chose a table inside, not aware that there was ample outdoor seating just out back. We were presented a menu and my wife and I chose to start with traditional lumpias (Filipino egg rolls). My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna BLT and I opted for the Ribeye Rice Bowl. The lumpias were very good. Freshly deep fried, hot and crispy served with a sweet and tangy chili sauce. My wife liked her BLT and the huge spears of fried potatoes served with it. They were quite generous with the pieces of ahi as well. My dish was equally good with tender and flavorful slivers of ribeye in a flavored rice and grilled vegetables. Service was friendly and attentive. After our meal, I chatted up a lady who I learned was the proprietor and who just happened to be from the Philippines. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant filled up fast after we were seated and I can see why. The staff from hostess to all the servers were warm and friendly. They took care of our all of needs with a smile and attentiveness that was refreshing. It also had pudding included. I didn't try it because I seen on the hot table a dessert that I wanted. The hot food buffet had four different meats, roast lamb with mint jelly on the side, roast turkey with a cranberry sauce on the side, ham and roast pork. The vegetables on the steam table were homemade mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and a split pea soup. I tried the ham, the turkey with cranberry sauce and for the first time ever roast lamb with mint jelly as my meats. They were all delicious and I was surprised that I liked the lamb with mint jelly because I was always a little leary to try lamb because I heard it could have a gamey taste. Their lamb didn't not taste gamey at all - well seasoned and roasted perfectly. I did enjoy it plain and with the jelly. The turkey was moist and delicious. I dipped it in their brown gravy - again very, very good. Even their split pea soup was to my liking. I enjoyed everything including a small salad and their spiced cake with whipped cream topped off my meal! Even their ice tea was extremely good. I couldn't find fault with anything.
