    My receipt

Service was friendly, fast.I ordered the lunch special ok but just regular flavor nothing special,no spices of Latin that I was looking for, than to put pot on the stove and boil. My grandmother cooked the same food.My meal was boiled potatoes, white rice, small bowl kidney bean in juice, quarter piece chicken leg,2pc plantain .What i didn't like i was not told the mango drink wasn't included in the meal.It was just presented as it was part of the special. However with today budget due to inflation, I didn't want to pay $22.00 for a lunch just nothing special. Their menu are a little pricey. The place is not high-end but clean.I think they should lessen the menu, and up the flavor.I will give it a 3star because of that.

Best latin foodtruck to ever grace CSRA! Great service and greetings from the yorkie.

The steak bowl was to die for. It had corn, lettuce, queso cheese, steak, rice, black beans, good shit, love it yeah right it's legit. Try it.

    Octopus salad with mofongo

This is the second time that I have been at this location and it is still fantastic. They made some upgrades and expanded the restaurant side and it's beautiful. The service has been amazing and very tentative to their customers. The octopus salad was phenomenal! I loved how citrus, flavorful, savory, and appetizing it was. I love seafood. And on top of this, I took a TRIPLETA (not pictured) which is a sandwich that is filled with pulled pork, steak, chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes. If you like spicy, ask for the spicy sauce and spicy Mayo to pair with it. Man, that was also delicious. Can't wait to go try more food. Definitely a cuisine you need to have in your life!!!

I love the interior design of this place. It truly felt like I was in the Caribbeans. The food was delicious and we were able to check out the grocery store while we walked for our food. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming, I felt like I was eating at my in laws.

Everything is delicious but especially the trifongo and pasteles. They have really good lunch specials, including the fried pork! It comes with so much food Our service was good, food comes out quickly, not too busy. Plus you can grocery shop while you wait, or just before you pay your tab. We will def be back.

Chicken and Guava and Cheese empanadas

The empanadas are amazing, and the steak and cheese sandwich was so yummy. My husband enjoyed his mofungo but has had better. The service was good and the restaurant was cute and festive. We will definitely be back!

    Seafood salad

The food is amazing! Atmosphere is welcoming and attached to grocery store. Try the empanadas- we had beef and pizza and my kids devoured them! The seafood salad was stacked with octopus, shrimp and calamari - some peppers topped off this amazing dish! Arroz con gandueles was not dried out and I can't say enough.

Mofongo (Mashed Green Plantain) with Pernil (Pork)

Best non-Mexican Latin food in Augusta! I got their Mofongo with Pernil ($15). My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I have had a lot of Mofongo in my life- including (where the dish disputably originates) in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic and. And the Mofongo at La Casa Latina is up there with the best of them! The Mofongo was very moist, not dry at all which is the downfall of most Mofongos. The Pernil (Roasted Pork) was cooked to literal perfection, it was so moist and flavorful! My hat goes off to the Chef here. Muy rico!

Incredible food. Very authentic to Puerto Rico and other Latin food. Not the typical "Mexican" type food found in Augusta.

The decor takes you right to island vibes. The music, the small trinkets that remind you of Puerto Rico are all here. The aromas in the air will have you drawn in. Our trip we had the roasted pork, and cube steak. My roasted pork was very flavorful. The rice reminded me of my grandmother's rice. The beans are amazing to say the least. I want the recipe! Tostones were fresh and hot! Made to order. The sweet plantain was the same. This last trip was today. Sundays are super busy! It was nice to see all the tables full and watching the family move in unison to get the customers taken care of. I ordered my food to go so I sat at the bar and waited for my food. Jessica the owner greeted me and was super attentive. Even when the hustle and bustle started she still checked on me. Today we ordered the pork chop dinner with rice and sweet plantain. I had the pork chunks with rice and beans along with tostones. We also had an alcapurrias that was delicious and flavorful. If you're looking for a true Puerto Rican restaurant that gives you all the feels along with great food and hospitality.....This is it!

If you're looking for anything other than that in my review wait for someone with a more knowledgeable palate. On to the review. Caribbean Express is located on the corner of Milledgeville Rd. And Olive Rd. directly across from the old Crab King location. It's brightly colored green with the brightly colored flags of the Caribbean and the US. The location has been the home of a couple of long gone restaurants. There is minimal parking on either side and in the back. There is no inside or outside seating. You place your order in the front through a sliding glass window. The staff is friendly and helpful. Though there is no seating, the food comes out quickly. I ordered the oxtail stew plate with red beans and rice and cabbage. I also ordered Coco bread (never had it). Everything was really good. The oxtails are thinly cut so don't expect hunks of oxtails but I was satisfied with the amount. Everything was perfectly seasoned I didn't add anything. I split it with my friend and he only added hot sauce because he wanted some kick. The Coco bread was nice and warm. I tasted it but didn't eat it. I'm going to save it to make a sandwich out of it. I was pleased with everything so I'll definitely be back again. I'm anxious to try other things on the menu. They also have smoothies!
