    Green chili stew
    Kiley Q.

This restaurant recently opened and I recommend giving it a try! It is set up like fast casual. You order at the front then take a seat. The waiter brings the food. There seemed to be plenty of tables and booths. The service was very quick. I had the green chile stew. It came with a delicious fresh salad and quesadilla. The stew was good but could have simmered a while longer. It was chewier than I prefer. The quesadilla was a nice surprise on the plate. The sopapillas here were good. Someone in our group got the Reuben which they liked a lot. The prices are very reasonable. Although the menu is short, there's a wide variety of dishes. I'd certainly come again.

This restaurant fills an interesting niche somewhere between fast food and table service. If the food were better, it would be a great place for a quick bite. Everything was plated quite well. Looked nice. Excited, until I started trying to find some flavor. Neither my carnitas nor my wife's Christmas enchiladas had much taste. Things were cooked well, but they must be catering to a crowd who wants bland food. The service was excellent. Our waters were refilled regularly, and various people came by to check up on us. There is simply too much good food in Taos to eat here.

Food was pretty good. I agree with some other comments that this place is half restaurant the other half fast food.

Delicious breakfast burritos & very friendly staff. The owner stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK. Clean place. We will be back!

This place is amazing! Though it's not quite on the menu; I had the chili relleno plate. It was the best chili relleno that I've ever had. The chili relleno was crispy on the outside and tender and cheesy on the inside. The green chili sauce was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. The service was wonderful. We got our delicious food pretty quickly. I loved the relaxing, comforting ambiance of the place. We're on vacation visiting from Las Vegas, NV. We will definitely be returning. This place was awesome!

Another great meal!!!! Chips and salsa (complementary) fresh salsa and warm earthy chips, so good!!!! I had carnitas tacos, which were full of meat and topped with fresh toppings... beautiful and tasty. My husband had the green Chile cheeseburger which was fresh, cooked perfectly and served with really tasty, probably addictive waffle fries. Perfect service, refills right on time and extra salsa. Thanks to all, we'll see you soon!!!

I out it in…read moremy maps and followed the walking directions for over 45 minutes and kept going to an empty lot. Finally we figured it had been put on the wrong side of the Main Street so we went the other way and ended up hungry and ready for a drink and dinner. The only negative is that I couldn't get a margarita other than the wine margaritas they have. Since there is a sweet and sour mix in them I went for a white wine instead and it was perfect for the day. We ordered our drinks and chips and guacamole to get started while we looked at the menu. Our server was super and we sat on the patio in the shade which was lovely. There was plenty of shade for the hot day. To stave off our hunger while we looked at the menu we ordered the chips and salsa with guacamole. The salsa was fabulous as was the rest but I had to comment on the salsa because so often these days it's just too tomato-y or bland. This was flavorful and had a bit of spice. For dinner, we ordered the steak tampiquena and I would get it again. Savory, perfectly cooked and hearty. Check this place out if you are visiting!

The real standout, though, was the flan. It was hands down the best I've ever had: incredibly smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. Our server, Chaniece, absolutely made the experience. I told her I wanted to order some of the most authentic Spanish dishes on the menu, and she came through perfectly. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited to help us experience the restaurant. If you have questions about the menu, ask for her recommendations--you won't be disappointed. My partner ordered Martin's Breakfast Burrito, and I had the huevos rancheros. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Michael's Kitchen is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so plan accordingly. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and had about a 30 minute wait. It was busy, but the wait was actually enjoyable because the restaurant has several little nooks filled with antiques and artwork by local artists. There was plenty to look at, and the time passed quickly. Taos has many wonderful mom and pop restaurants, but from what I learned during our visit, there are fewer locally owned restaurants serving traditional Spanish cuisine. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try all of them, but I'm very happy we chose Michael's Kitchen. Between the authentic food the welcoming atmosphere and Chaniece's outstanding service, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Taos.

We walked from our B&B and it didn't look like much from the outside but it is classy inside. Upon entering the air was a bit stifling. The windows were open and there was a breeze so we asked to sit by the window which was no problem. The decor was tasteful and. It overdone. The service was a bit slow but staff is friendly. Our server always kept a distance we are aren't used to when being served and it seemed as though she wanted to drop things off with arms stretched as far as possible and in fact she didn't pour the bottle of wine we ended up with. I appreciated her recommendations and especially when I asked about the wine she recommended a different one than the one we first suggested. She was right! We ended up getting a delicious Koyle Cabernet. We ordered the duck and the lamb. The duck was 10/10 amazing! The lamb was cooked medium well for some reason as we were not asked and assumed it would be medium rare. Don't assume they say! It was dry and fatty. Seems strange I know but there you go. But definitely try the duck!!
