    London Fog
    Michelle L.

Spent a little time at La Colombe on a Tuesday afternoon. I was walking from the LES to Union Square and needed an afternoon pick me up. I got a London Fog (Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup). I think it was mostly NYU students but hey, I can assimilate. I'll be back.

    Camomile

Beautiful café with a striking high ceiling and historic Corinthian columns. We stopped by in the evening for a chamomile tea. While a local friend mentioned they serve drinks in gorgeous cups, I only saw paper cups during my visit. Still a lovely atmosphere, but the presentation didn't quite match expectations.

Good drinks! Solid coffee, good tea hot or iced. Service is great. Ambiance is spacious and open, a rarity for a coffee shop in NYC and i recommend this place for anyone wanting to sit and read or meet up with a friend and chat, just be aware that you may not get a table! But i can't give this place 5 stars. The food is quite lackluster. The cookies are in that spot between being soft and crunchy but not in a good way. Almost rubber esque in texture. But the food isn't the main reason why i'm giving 3 stars Not having internet at a cafe is just too bit of a miss, especially one located in downtown NYC. If they had wifi and more charging stations (yes this is an extreme nitpick but whatever) i'd bump it up to 4 or 5 in a heartbeat.

This location is always soo busy. Many NYU students come here. It's in a great area next to parts of NYU campuses, soulcycle and other work out places. I usually get draft lattes when I go to a La Colombe. Today I wanted a hot drink so I got a decaf cappuccino. I should just stick with the draft Iced lattes. My drink was very bitter and I could not drink much of it. Also, it was not a full cup and there was no nice milk art like alot of places do.

Great spot for coffee in NoHo. I love La Colombe coffee and this location is big and light filled with plenty of seating. (It's a lot roomier than the original location a couple of blocks further south on Lafayette). Prices are reasonable, service is efficient and they have a decent selection of pastries available. And of course the coffee is delicious!

Bigger location than the one just south of Houston with same good dark roast coffee. There are 15+ tables and bar seating for another dozen.

Very crowded and vibey on a Sunday afternoon. Great spot to catchup or work if you can find a table. Line moves quickly. Fun draft cold brews but even the black iced coffee is good.

I stopped by in this place for some draft latte after lunch at Carbone to wake my body up from the wine consumption. I always get a draft of the seasonal latte. Service was friendly and welcome. The place was definitely bigger with spacious workspaces and complimentary water. This visit I had the cereal latte, which was strong but hit the spot.

I dream of their nitro latte. I'll never forget the first time I tasted that foamy, creamy concoction - I was hooked! Many of us have gotten La Colombe drinks from the store but if you ever get the chance to visit a store front, you MUST try their draft latte. It's a thick creamy latte with the perfect amount of coffee flavor and thick foam. Trust me, one sip and youlll be addicted!

Will definitely come back for the draft latte. I got mine with oat milk and i was so surprised! The after taste is so velvety and sweet. I loved it! It was also lukewarm- not really iced coffee. It was perfect on a cold walk outside.

Good coffee, nice staff, good open and airy space. Food could do with an upgrade....but it is what it is. Best of the bunch for a quick coffee and chat with friends on a wet rainy Saturday.

    Inside of muffin

I've frequently bought La Colombe products at the grocery store, but I've never been to any of their standalone cafes. They of course offer many of their commercially sold products, but in addition offer hot espressos, lattes, drip coffee, cold brew, and some bakery items. I got the medium roast drip coffee with almond milk, and a blueberry muffin. The coffee was warm, but not hot (even before milk was added). It does have a rich taste without any bitterness. I appreciated that the baristas provide you with the coffee on a serving dish with a spoon, and allow you to choose how much milk to put in. The top of the muffin was great- crunchy and chock full of almonds. The inside was pretty moist. The bites I had of blueberry were great, but I wish there were more. They almost all sunk to the bottom. The taste of the muffin itself was pretty bland other than the blueberry- I wish they had added some flavor. Lemon would have been a nice addition!

    Oat milk cappuccinos!

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.
