Finally tried this place tonight with the fam. First off, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and spotless! The service was incredibly fast from the moment we sat down and our food came out so quickly. We ordered the carne asada tacos, chicken fajitas, a kids burger, a classic margarita, moscow mule, and finished with the churros for dessert. Everything tasted so fresh and was packed with flavor!! Honestly, I couldn't find a single thing to criticize. I really hope they keep this same quality of food because I truly think they'll go far. This is exactly what Weston needed! So happy to have a place like this nearby and we'll definitely be back soon. read more

Four of us are always ready to check out a new restaurant, so we went on a Friday night. Being fairly new, there are always a few kinks to work out and I think they aren't done doing that yet. My husband and I arrived and told the hostess that we had a reservation for four. She was distracted - there was someone with a video camera at her station then and later he was going around the restaurant shooting. So, she didn't realize that our friends were already there and seated and, while she was talking to other people who worked there, we noticed our friends, so we told her they were there and joined them. This didn't take just a moment - we were standing there for a few minutes. It was probably a bad management decision to have a cameraman underfoot at the hostess station during a busy Friday evening. We sat down and asked our friends if they'd ordered drinks yet. They had and so we figured we'd order when the server brought their drinks. We waited ... and waited ... and waited some more. It took way too long for the drinks to come. I don't know where the server was because we were seated right next to the server station at the bar and she wasn't there. She didn't notice we had gotten there, and so there was quite a bit of delay in getting service. When I ordered a margarita, she asked if I wanted tajin or salt on the rim and I ordered salt. That drink arrived quickly ... with tajin. Oh, well. The food was pretty good. We had the goat cheese jalapeños, guacamole, taco salad (which was on the small side, but filling nonetheless), pork carnitas, and tacos de birria. The stand-outs were the guacamole and tacos, and my husband said the Mexican rice had a wonderful flavor. The restaurant is very loud, so it isn't the place for conversation. I visited La Condesa on a Friday night with a group of six friends, and overall we had a great experience. While the atmosphere is definitely energetic and on the louder side, the food and drinks were absolute winners across the board. I played it safe and ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was delicious. My friends were much more adventurous with their choices, and every single dish impressed. One friend got the Tacos al Pastor and enjoyed them tremendously. Two others ordered tacos loaded with both steak and shrimp; they were thrilled with the flavors and the huge portion sizes, leaving them both with enough to take half home. Another friend found the enchiladas to have the perfect amount of savory flavor, while my friend who lived in Mexico for a few years got the chicken mole and was very pleased with the authenticity of the sauce. A special mention has to go to the massive mug of Horchata I ordered--it tasted just like rice pudding in a glass with the perfect amount of cinnamon, and I was thrilled with it. The only downside to our evening was the noise level. The large dining room gets very loud on a busy night, making it difficult for us to hear each other talk across the table, even with people sitting just two seats away. Sectioning off the large room or adding a few sound-dampening panels would go a long way in making conversation a bit easier. That said, the incredible food, nice view of you sit by the windows, authentic dishes, and generous portions make La Condesa well worth a visit! read more

Food is 10000/10. In love with everything we had. Guacamole was our favorite for sure. Service is hit or miss and I wish sodas weren't just served in cans (and a bit pricey too). Other than that, we loved the music and vibes. Will definitely be going back to try out more of the menu! read more

Just what Weston needed! Great food, drinks, service and ambience. This place just opened about a month ago, very clean, well designed, nice decor and vibe. We sat in a booth facing the water fountain and it was really nice. The service was good and fast. Complementary chips and salsa are always a nice touch. What we ordered: Drinks - Paloma 7/10 - Nicely made a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but if you enjoy sweeter tasting drinks you will like this one. Classic Margarita 9/10 Classic & Refreshing! Can't really go wrong with this one Carne Asada - 10/10 The hubs had zero complaints on this dish and definitely left no crumbs behind! Lengua Tacos- 5/10 The hubs ordered these and he did not like them. The meat was cut into squares and fried. A different version of these tacos but it was a miss for him. Baja Tacos (Mahi) 10/10 - I enjoyed these! Served with rice and beans and filed with avocado, cabbage slaw and a light aioli cream sauce. Not to much and were perfectly preserved and cooked. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our meals, the vibe and atmosphere in here was great and the service was wonderful as well. The food came out really fast. We will be back to try something different. Welcome to the neighborhood La Condesa. If you've ever read my reviews I am NOT a fan of Mexican food but my husband is, so I go. La Condesa is new to the Weston Town Center. If you're a 30+ year resident you remember before Duffy's it was East City Grill. The owners of La Condesa did an amazing job at renovating and it is bright and airy. You can see the water from almost anywhere you're sitting. The open concept makes it look bright and clean. Our server, Yianni, was wonderful. He pointed out what the photos were on the menu and made some suggestions, since it was our first time. They brought us out some chips & salsa. My husband said it was spicy but I just dipped the chip instead of scooping it and it was just the right amount of flavor for me. We started with the empanadas. They were delicious. We decided to have the fajitas for 2. I always feel that's a safe bet when you're trying a new Mexican restaurant for the first time. It was piled with veggies and the steak, chicken and shrimp were perfect cooked. Each of us got our own little packet of tortillas and a plate with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, pico, rice and beans. The tortillas are wrapped in tinfoil. They were a little dry on one end, but still good. Usually have to fight my husband for some of the toppings, so I loved the idea of having my own little plate. We didn't have dessert, as our server brought the check without asking. We saw that as a sign to save the calories and have a reason to visit again. 2 cons...1 they have a full bar, so serving sodas in cans is a bit of a star breaker/star remover. 2. We paid cash and they have no till. I understand many people don't pay cash these days, but we like to. Our poor server had to go from place to place to find us change. Singles were hard to come by. I made sure to leave all the singles with the tip so he would have them for the next time. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying something else. read more

I'd probably give this place a 3.5 if I could. Our server was new to serving, and she was quite honestly the highlight of the trip- I'm sorry I don't remember her name, because she was lovely. She explained that she was new, and then went above and beyond to make sure she got everything right. In a month, she'll be running the place! The ambience was cute, it was cool to see how they went from Duffy's, a sports bar, and reimagined It to be a higher-end Mexican place. I think they removed some tint from the windows, because the view outside to the lake was clear and gorgeous. The bar is in the same spot, but walls have come down and the bathroom was... gorgeous. Which is weird to say about a bathroom. But you could tell how much thought went into every detail. The food is where it sort of fell apart for me. I was so excited to have white queso down the street, but it was a little disappointing. There was a bit of tangy to it that I didn't expect but was fine after a few bites, once I'd reconciled what my brain expected vs. What i was eating, but the consistency was off; melted on the outside, but more solid on the inside. As if someone had put it in a microwave once, didn't stir it and re-heat, if that makes sense. He ordered the mojo shrimp, he enjoyed them but had to add a good bit of salt, which surprised me because he doesn't usually add salt to anything. I got the birria tacos. They were definitely filling! They could have used a bit more crunch, but that may be my fault- they were so hot and fresh, I may have left them to cool off too long and taken some of the crisp away. The consomme really didn't have much flavor, and even adding the entire container of... I'm not sure what it was, maybe something pepper-based? That came with it really still left it sort of bland. The food wasn't terrible, it just seemed a bit mediocre. Like if a friend had made it at home for the first time, I would have complimented it and added suggestions, but for a restaurant that already has another location, you'd expect it to be perfected. Still, it's the closest white queso to me, and like I said, the service was phenomenal. I probably wouldn't go back for a full meal, but if I'm craving queso I'd probably grab a bar seat and order it with a drink. read more

We were a party of 4 for dinner. We had reservations, thank goodness. Inside is beautiful and large. It does get noisy, though.We started with the delicious table side guacamole made by Alex( I think that was his name). It was perfect!! We also had the steak nachos which were also delicious. I had a classic margarita which was delicious. For my entree, I had a combo of beef taco and a beef enchilada. I wasn't crazy about the ground beef but it wasn't terrible. The sauce on the enchilada was delicious and so fresh. The refried beans were also delicious and fresh. My husband had the steak fajita and they raved over the seasoning and the quality of the steak. My friend ordered a burrito that had a white sauce and she said it was delicious. Service was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. So much so, that we made reservations for Saturday for a birthday gathering. I highly recommend trying this place. We drove from Miami Springs and will be back! read more

The last time we eat here it was Duffy's. Now its a Mexican restaurant. Wow! What a renovation, they place looks incredible! We started with chips and salsa, chips were very good and the salsa was a bit spicy, but very good. Then we decided to share a couple of empanadas, it came with pineapple salsa and slaw. We didn't eat the slaw but the empanadas and the pineapple salsa were excellent. For dinner we did the mixed fajitas for two. I loved it, my wife liked it but thought it could have had more meat and less vegetables. What she really liked was we each got our own plate of toppings. Our server was very young but he was very good, although he did forget to ask if we wanted to see a dessert menu. We paid our bill with cash and he had a difficult time change. Not his fault, the restaurant should have enough cash on hand to handle moments like that. read more

My wife and I had a drink and dinner there. An easy three stars but the food could be better. The good - service was attentive and prompt and friendly. I was pleased and a bit surprised. You'd expect a new place to have service kinks. There were none and everything was smooth. I had a Paloma and it was perfect on a muggy day. The ambience was super. They turned a Duffys, which has always been unimpressive and depressing, into a great looking restaurant. My hat's off to the designers But the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered fajitas. The meat was over seasoned and overcooked. I did like the way they presented all the "stuff" that comes with fajitas but overcooked and over seasoned meat just doesn't work. On a positive note my dog loved it the next day. So we're going to go back for a drink and maybe an appetizer next time. La confess has promise. If they step up and improve the food it will be great. read more

Good food and definitely more than just your typical Mexican restaurant. The menu has a nice variety of dishes, with great flavors and a more elevated feel. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, with a nice atmosphere that works well for both a casual dinner and a night out with friends or family. What a disappointment. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but the rest was downhill. We had to ask for the chips and salsa. They didn't bring them to the table. The quesadilla was soggy. Not crispy and closed shut with melted cheese. My burrito was full of green peppers and red onions (which were not listed in the description). Every bite was crunchy from the chunks of onion, peppers, and ribs of the romaine lettuce. Burritos shouldn't be crunchy. Also, the ingredients weren't even spread across the tortilla. One end had the sour cream and the last few bites had the guacamole. Honestly, I've been to many Mexican restaurants and nobody ever makes a bad burrito. Nice to see the old Dingy Duffys transformed into a beautiful spaceous new restaurant. This is a very good looking new place. The food is OK, just like their other locations. Decent tex mex basics served quickly and hot, but no WOW factor here. Most Mexican in Florida is the same, nothing special. For roughly the same cash, you can get equal meal within 5 miles, but cetainly not the sophisticated ambiance. This place continues the trend of bringing "just OK" restaurants to Weston Town Center. Why we cant get better food here is a mystery. read more

Another sub-par restaurant. They did a beautiful job renovating and decorating. However, the service and food left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for lemon twice and eventually get up and get it ourselves from the bar. Pictured is their avocado salad with shrimp. It didn't even come with a half of an avocado. Shrimp was unseasoned. The rest of the food ordered was also plain. The restaurant is open with nothing to absorb sound, we could barely hear each other for a conversation. The menu is very unique here. All of the usual Mexican fare, but also a large selection of dishes I have never heard of or seen. So many it was hard to choose. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The interior is beautifully renovated. If there was a downside I would say the acoustics make it a bit loud, but we will definitely be back.
