Flies everywhere so it is better to take and eat somewhere else (in the summer). The place needs to be cleaned more and all their food seems to have a weird taste to it; like a mix of different meat oils. Other taquerias taste better in Tracy and they offer free salsa and chips everywhere else but here. The only pro is that their burritos fill you up. read more

They have a pretty good selection of food here. I always get the carne asada burrito and tacos pastor. There has been a couple times however where the meat tasted a little different and burnt. Overall it's pretty good if you want something fast. read more

Everyone I talk to loves this place, but I find it a bit below average at least when it comes to Mexican eatery. The food is nothing special, and the prices are alright as well. The biggest problem is the location. The food is served through a window and there are tables outside, there are always plenty of flies and it's on a street corner by a high school, close to town hall and the police station. Not a picnic location. Standard Mexican eatery and cash only. Need a quick fix taco? This will work. Want something above C grade? Look elsewhere. read more

I eat here often, as the food is mostly cheap and very filling. The food is served very fast. Cash only. Watch out around 12:15 the nearby high school lets out students for lunch and it can get somewhat crowded. read more

Recently moved to Tracy from Southern California and I'm still getting used to the area. Every time I come here they always mess up the order. What makes it even worse is that, they rush you to place your order. This business should be humble, given the fact that they are a below average mexican restaurant in a very small market. I will never come here to eat again. I have neighbors who cook out of their garage that have better food and customer service than this. read more

I used to live in Tracy 10 years ago, and recently moved back. My first stop was la costa!! Food kicks ass!!

Still no chips and salsa but still great food. I think the 11th street one is better than the grant line one.

Hard to beat this place when it comes to an affordable meal that is flavorful and fast!

I live in Fremont, Ca and I drive all the way to Tracy to eat la costa, as I write this my mouth waters. The service is excellent, the outside patio area is welcoming and pleasant to eat at. In the hot summer days I like to eat here. The food is amazing, not overly spicy, and not blane. I love their food, I would reccomendd la costa Tracy to anyone looking to change their Mexican food experience. read more

Despite being on the greasy side of the spectrum, the burritos and quesedillas are super cheap and taste amazing. I recommend trying the chicken quesedilla ($3.50?). It's like their burritos but has cheese, lettuce, and salsa. I think they also grill up the tortilla for the quesedilla unlike the burritos which makes a big difference. Don't forget to try the horchata ($1?)! read more

I'm rating it a 4 mostly because of the price 3.75 and the fact that they change the burrito the way I like it (green sauce instead of the red sauce that burns my gums). The place on grantline (same name) has a drier burrito meaning not runny so I started going there for the same price. the tacos are small but cheap and tasty. have not tried torta but hear its good. downsides: 1. the burrito falls over you and your car so not cool. my white top is stained 2. beans are severely runny so i usually leave them off 3. you can ask for extra limes for no charge 4. they charge for water 5. have to carry cash as they don't take credit/debit cards read more

Delicious, but the wait can be very long. Since the place was packed when I ate there, I think it might've taken me like 30 minutes to finally place an order for 2 simple tacos. However, once I took a bite of that first one, I can see why there were so many people getting lunch there -- sheer perfect bliss. Do not be fooled by how this joint looks. Yes, it is not at all appealing(not that clean, but who wants to eat sanitized carne asadas?) but around Tracy, this place is where you can find some of the best and truly authentic Mexican food under $5! This place is worth the trip, not for dates but just for those growling stomachs yearning for quick, tasty and inexpensive nourishment. As someone who was born and raised in Tracy, I never thought to review La Costa because I assumed everyone knew how good it was. After recently relocating to Sacramento, however, I just had to come on yelp and praise La Costa because I didn't know how good I had it. The food is amazing & the price even better. Considering the lack of good restaurants in Tracy, I'd save the the money you'd spend at some less than average places and just go get a really good burrito here! read more

If you are looking for cheap authentic Mexican that actually tastes good, this is the spot to go to. Its not your typical taqueria where your walk into a building and order your food, sit and wait. You walk up to a window and order your food, then bam! a few moments later your food is ready at the next window. You can sit at their outdoor tables (covered) or take it to go. The meat is perfect and the tortillas have a nice soft warm texture. Portion size is good too. Definitely recommend - it will hit the spot! read more

Adorable and super fresh taqueria with a lovely patio in downtown Tracy. They called out our order in less than five minutes, and everything was delicious: lengua, camarones, pastor, carnitas tacos + burrito al pastor. Lengua and carnitas were probably the best. Enjoy your food on the patio surrounded by twinkle lights. The bathroom is also really nice and clearly got a recent refresh. read more
