holy crap. so living in san francisco you KNOW theres a ton of taquerias out here.. but NOTHING compares to this place that my dear dear friend had been talking about for MONTHS.. he swore it was the best.. better than anything else out there that san francisco and the rest of the bay has to offer.. and lo and behold.. I think La Costa has it!!! I can't think of the last time I have ever had such a delicious friggin carne asada taco.. and coming from a girl who does NOT like burritos?? wow. the ones here are AMAZING. Not to mention the jumbo tapatio bottles.. and the pieces of lime that come with your taco.. i'm not sure how i feel about the radish, but forget that, La Costa is freakin DELICIOUS. This is a good place to get a greasy carne asada super burrito for $5. The portions are huge, but you will be too if you ate here everyday. The lines can get long and are usually filled with high school aged kids. They have outdoor seating, but we always get ours to-go as the dining area isn't the cleanest. Well I went here. Was tasty and cheap. Not the best burrito, carne asada, not the best carnitas tacos. But damn is it cheap! If you are hungry for some greasy cheap Mexican food with a little bit of flavor this is the spot to be. Super fast service. Cash only. I'd be back since I know where it is. Nothing fancy, just awesome tacos that fits the bill and taste buds. People generally go for the typical carnitas or asada , but I personally like lengua when it comes to Mexican tacos. And la costa does it just right! Super tender and soft like carnitas, and they don't skimp on the meat. At $1.50 each, makes for a satisfying lunch or dinner. If a nice day, you can enjoy the chill outdoor seating too. I don't make my way to Tracy often, but when I do- La Costa is on my list! read more

Awesome food. I usually get the carne asada burrito. Pretty good price at $6 each, although I usually ask for avocado on the side, because sometimes they forget to put it on the burrito. A bonus that it's right up the street from my house, but I'd still drive across town for La Costa. read more

Also the chicken quesadilla does not come as a normal cheese and chicken quesadilla, it's more like a large taco/burrito thing which was a disappointment because I ordered it for my picky 3 & 4 year old. I originally gave La Costa 5 stars because every time I went I was 100% satisfied. Then recently I noticed their burritos were off. The flavor was 10x spicier and not as tasty and the chicken seemed of poor quality. I talked with some Tracy locals who agreed that while La Costa is a Tracy staple, their food is inconsistent. Sometimes it's the best Mexican you've ever had, and sometimes it fails you. My last visit bummed me out so much I had to take a La Costa break. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

It's all about the Tacos for me! My wife enjoys the tostadas. This is one of our first ventures when we moved to tracy. Great prices, friendly staff,and quick service. I only wish they took debit cards, id probably go more often. I dont normally carry cash. That is the only downside for me. read more

This place is good. Tacos are tasty, salsa is good. Price is right. I love their burritos too. I like how they are priced cheap and you can add cheese, avocado or sour cream separately at .50 each. It is perfect for someone who may just want avocado but that's it and won't be paying for the extras that aren't going on their burrito anyway if that makes sense. read more

La Costa, is that go to spot where you always know that's its going to be good. Great prices and fresh food. I with they had one in the east bay because we need one out here! I'm sure that a place like La Costa would do amazing on this side of the Altamont and basically wouldn't have any competition due to the fact that they actually season the food and the salsa doesn't taste like the skin off of a wax pepper drenched an oil. They have a pretty good selection of food here. I always get the carne asada burrito and tacos pastor. There has been a couple times however where the meat tasted a little different and burnt. Overall it's pretty good if you want something fast. read more

Many years ago I used to live in Brentwood, and there is a La Costa there as well. It was my favorite place of all time to eat. Now I live in Tracy and i am really happy there is one here! its not as good as the Brentwood one ( or maybe I am biased) But its still the best food in Tracy and very much the cheapest. My item of choice is the Carne Asada Burrito, I get it every time, and its only $3.75 for a very large burrito. If you want good Mexican food than don't bother going anywhere else. read more

I don't normally give 5 stars but when you combine this much flavor for such a low price i just HAD to! The burritos are great! They are 90% beans but they are AMAZING beans! I found this place while waiting for a ride outside the DMV. My nose caught wind of those magical beans and immediatly headed towards the scent. What a wonderful find! You can feed a family of four for $15! I prefer the 11th street location to the Grant Line one. But the Grant Line one DOES offer nachos, which the 11th st one doesn't. read more
