We had a great experience! The service was amazing our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. As soon as we sat down, we were served water, chips, and salsa, and the staff kept our chips and salsa refilled throughout the meal. We tried the vegan chorizo tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The margaritas were also fantastic and a great value for the price. Ambiance is mellow perfect for a night out if you're craving tacos and margaritas, ill definitely be back!

Came here for a fundraiser and ordered mulitas (asada and chorizo) so good and flavorful! Service was great and they were on it, constantly asking if we needed anything. Its a fun atmosphere! Looking forward to trying some of their other food. Margarita was strong!

La Cova is a Mexican restaurant that opened in Placentia semi-recently. My girlfriend loves Mexican food, so we decided to give it a try. They have a happy hour weekdays from 2pm to 5pm, taco Tuesdays, and other specials on different days of the week. There is always plenty of parking and a good sized lot that is shared with several other businesses. Seating options include the main dining room, at the bar, or a small patio out front. We sat in the dining room on the booth half of a half-booth/half-table along the wall. We were greeted by our server Rosie who started us out with complementary chips and salsa. We got to talking about chips and salsa, and she mentioned they actually have several salsas and she proceeded to bring us out a great spread of all their salsas. All of the salsas were very flavorful with various heat levels. My favorites were the creamy avocado and salsa verde. Both the red salsa and especially the habanero red salsa packed the heat. The chips were also good, and we went thru a few baskets. For entrees, we both ordered the plate of three street tacos ($12.99). They have a wide selection of proteins and fillings which you can mix and match including al pastor, asada, birria, carnitas, chicken, chorizo, tripa, potato, fajita veggies, fish, shrimp, and soyrizo. You can also choose from regular tortillas or handmade tortillas for a little extra. I decided to try some of the meats and ordered asada, al pastor, and carnitas for my three street tacos. They come with a good amount of protein, and are topped with onion and cilantro. The plate also comes with sliced radishes and a slice of lime for each taco. They were all good, but the asada was my favorite. She was happy to see they had soyrizo as an option, and she ordered one potato taco and two soyrizo tacos. She enjoyed her tacos also. The food was great, and Rosie was the icing on the cake. She was so friendly and hospitable. She even sent us home with chips and four small containers of all the salsas. A really great server goes a long way in building a positive reputation for a restaurant. We haven't returned to dine-in yet, but I have picked up tacos and chips and salsa to bring home several times, and the staff is always friendly. I always ask for all four salsas to go with the chips, and they are always happy to oblige.

Cali burrito and 3 street tacos

Absolutely terrible food. Ordered the cali pastor burrito and there was barely any meat, just all potato and beans. Told the waitress I didnt like it and she didnt do anything about it. The girlfriend ordered the 3 street tacos, 1 Asada(good), 1 birria(amazing), and 1 potato("worst taco she's ever had"). $40 too is crazy for what we ordered. Also when you walk in, it gives off dive bar vibes, but in the back is a dance club. Definitely do not recommend food here.

I love the ambience and the GM/Bartender rocks! Go Angela. The owner Jorge is always very hospitable and reserves our table. The food and drinks are bomb too. Come by

I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves it. The food was AMAZING and the service was just as good -- and for me, both matter. Sometimes a restaurant has good food but bad service, and it ruins the whole experience. But here, everything was perfect. The vibe is super cool and fun, great atmosphere, live DJ, good music, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I normally do NOT like shrimp. but the shrimp dish here was honestly one of the best dishes I've ever tried. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and unique. Definitely one of my new favorite spots. Highly recommend!

Heather and Christian are the best bartenders in town! They can literally make anything, and their cocktails are always well balanced. My go-tos are the guava, tamarindo, or watermelon margaritas. You can't go wrong with the taquitos, loaded papas, or quesobirria tacos. The background music is vibey, and I love that live bands are in the house every week! Table service is good, but sitting at the bar is the best.

Came on a Friday night, first time going here, had a very nice experience, hits all my criteria, parking was easy, vibe was welcoming, service was great (thank you Rosie!), food was all fantastic- fresh and flavorful. We will definitely go back!

He made the reservations online with Nine Social but when he got the confirmation, it said for Macallans so he called and spoke to the manager and we got a table here. Wine list was extensive and since he knew a lot about wine.... I told him to just choose for me. We did a pinot noir to start and then went to a cab. The cab was great! I ended the night with a moscato. I ordered the mango tango and he ordered the wedge. Both delish! The mango tango had that sweet and salty blend perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. It was really good! Service was excellent! They let you try the wine before you order a glass! They checked on us constantly and were really attentive. The place had an older feel to it and it's quaint. I like the coziness of it. They had live music going on and Tom the pianist did a great job! He sang to me when Tom was playing. Super sweet! Tom came over to introduce himself and told us about music nights and there will be singers there. We love this place so much we stayed until closing time. We were the last ones to leave! We were already talking about coming back for when the singers will be there. Our first time here... And definitely won't be our last!

Nine Social is a cozy wine bar located on the far west end of Birch Street in downtown Brea, right…read morenext to Macallans. There is a free parking garage right across the street. Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

For me this is a perfect spot to have a beer while I charge my car at the supercharger. The ambience is that of a pub so a darker feel and the wooden decor. They also have outdoor seating that is pet friendly. This can be a family friendly environment, but it is mostly a pub. The sitting here works as first come first serve you sit yourself. They have a large bar area that you can sit or the tables. They offer a wide variety of bourbons and malts. I personally like that they offer Guinness on tap and it's always perfect. They have a lot of Hardy British food such as fish and chips and shepherds pie. My boyfriend has gotten to Shepherd pie in the past and it was good just a little bit different than we expected. The pastry was crispy and the sauce was creamier. The fish and chips were delicious. They tend to have different types of entertainments throughout the week. I'm not sure of what day is what but I have seen a magician going around the tables and entertaining families or just groups of friends. I know one night is karaoke night another night they have live music and I am not sure what other types of entertainment they offer. This is a very casual restaurant to come enjoy a good time. I also came here for a few of the World Cup matches and it was a lot of fun! Based on their food, ambience, friendliness and variety of alcohol and drinks that they offer I would say that this is my favourite bar to come by myself and I feel comfortable.
