I've been craving crawfish and figured this place looked good and local and damn I was not disappointed. I ordered pick-up through their app which is super easy and convenient. I got 2lbs of crawfish in a spicy garlic boil mix that was so good. I also got a piece of corn and a potato. Heard great things about LA Crawfish so I decided to finally try them out. Firstly, the lady at the counter kept getting my order wrong, to the point that I was just saying yes to whatever she said because it was taking her too long to fix it. We had spicy cajun crawfish and garlic butter. The flavor was there and good, but unfortunately the crawfish wasn't great. They just won't peel. The flesh won't separate from the shell so it was really frustrating. The crawfish didn't taste fresh and they are a bit too dry. So the catch phrase "Pinch the tail and suck the head" doesn't work here. We also ordered garlic noodles, which was way too garlicky. Unfortunately, i won't be returning here :( read more

Again, it's BYOB. No cork fee. Order at the counter, pay at the counter - and yes, they'll let you start a crawfish tab, as I did. I mean, who wants to eat cold crawfish? Order as you go, my friend. Crawfish pho. Crawfish empanadas. Crawfish curry. And don't forget the crab legs. And the skrimps. And the andouille sausage, rice, potatoes, and corn. I am a huge fan of LA Crawfish. This is the second location that I've visited. The first one was over on I-10 and Blalock at the Ranch 99 market. I like this location better, only because it's close to my apartment and near the movie theater. So you can just leave your car at the theater and walk over. Or if the parking lot is full at this location, since the theater is a paid garage you can pay 3 bucks and walk over. Over the years they have definitely expanded their menu and added new things. I can remember back when they just had crawfish, Pho, and wings. Since they've added multiple new items. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Once I ordered the oysters in a half shell. They weren't shucked properly though (I'm an oyster snob) but maybe it was just that day. I love the cheesy crawfish rolls and the gumbo is Sooo delicious. I was a little hesitant to have gumbo with cilantro in it, but it added a flavor that I really liked. One thing that I've noticed about them is that they have taken the time to take an ordinary crawfish joint and made it extraordinary. Customer service here is always great as well. Love the food here. 2nd time there was strong bleach smell in dining area. Went to eat tonight hoping for a good dine-in experience, but again, there was smell of bleach that filled the dining area. Had to take food to go otherwise I would have thrown up if I ate there. Turns out the staff starts cleaning the bathrooms and using bleach during business hours. I like the Vietnamese style crawfish because it's flavorful inside and out, not just dry rub on the outside! The crawfish is usually super fresh and fairly large.. I've been here during the season and it's good. However since this time was too early in the season, they were frozen and small. But I still enjoyed them with the potatoes, corn and sausage. We also ordered the spicy garlic wings and boy they were delicious! Super crispy with the right amount of flavor - I would totally recommend the wings here as well. They also have a LA pho with crawfish in it! I haven't tried the pho but quite a few people ordered it and it looked good and looked to be a good size for the price. Our group of 6 was VERY happy with the food. I ordered the crawfish Pho (which also included sausage and shrimp). Best pho I've ever had. I also ordered a side of sausage because I just love sausage. Great flavor. I then ordered a side of the chicken bites. This was my only complaint because the chicken tasted old as if it had been cooked in old grease and sitting out all day. I was in the mood for crawfish after hearing my friend talk about it all weekend so my boyfriend and I came here at the soonest opportunity and ordered 2 lbs of crawfish (1 lb with garlic butter, 1 lb with Szechuan spice), salt toasted shrimp, garlic noodles, and fried rice. Food came out pretty quick but I think that may just be because we beat the crowd. Szechuan spiced crawfish was the best seasoning by far. So tasty and just the right amount of spice. Garlic butter was surprisingly bland so I was double disappointed when the potatoes, sausage, and corn were cooked in that sauce - luckily I could dip them in the remaining Szechuan sauce. Crawfish were of a decent size and tasted fresh to me. The salt toasted shrimp were a bit disappointing - the covering on the shrimp was more of a dry dust that didn't have a lot of spice. I prefer traditional salt and pepper shrimp for sure but I appreciated how big the shrimp were. Garlic noodles had good flavor but the noodles got soggy in the sauce. Delicious. The crawfish pho is the perfect combo of delicious pho and peppery crawfish. The boiled seafood is great as are the fried shrimp. The fries went fast and so did the awesome garlic noodles. The restaurant has a nice modern interior and casual vibe and we picked our dishes (Awesome Garlic Noodles, Fried Basket, and Cajun Curry). I chose the noodles and I loved this tasty dish! The noodles have a kick so be prepared for the spiciness, but the overall spice level is mild-medium. The dish is paired with shrimp and a slight lime zest- I give this a 5 star rating-good flavor! My mother got the cajun curry in which I can confirm was a hit due to her "mmmm" noises. I tried the sauce which was a rich and strong sweet curry on rice. The portion sizes were another plus! Definitely a better experience than last time. I got two lbs of shrimp -Cajun flavored, medium spicy and some Magic Cajun Rice with crawfish in it. I can usually handle spicy foods but whenever I get hot spicy at other seafood boil places, it's extremely spicy for me so I decided to do medium - it definitely could've been spicier HAHAH...I'm not a fan of the whole process of eating crawfish so I didn't get any but my friend got it and she loved it. Place is small too, and if I do recall, there were ABOUT 15 tables MAX??? From what it looked like. But anyways, I saw a few customers bring in coolers and even recently purchased beer to have along with their crawfish. Nice. BYOB. I was actually surprised they don't charge since some places do. So I actually appreciate when a place really means BYOB. Just finish what you opened. I do want to say that the menu is very aesthetically pleasing. So here's the bad. But my 2 lbs are fairly large crawfish were disappointing. Flavor wise....was a big FAT MEH. I just didn't get that garlic butter flavor feel. The good. Service was good, I will admit. We ordered beignet fingers and they were really satisfying to end our crappy meal. Overall, I am bit on the fence of trying non crawfish items. But the curiosity is killing me.
