Good seafood fried rice with shrimp and crawfish. I liked the Cajun butter that came with it.

I'm a very big fries person! I love all types of fries and decided to try all the different ones at Post Htx. First impressions: Crazy Cajun is towards the back of the food hall, it definitely reminds me of a crawfish restaurant with the interior. Service: Service was good! The guy who took my order was nice and he got our food out super fast. Food: I wish I tried something more but I only had the fries. I gotta say, for being the most expensive fries at the food hall (at a price of 15 dollars), I expected this thing to be amazing. However, it definitely fell a little short for me. They're called loaded fries, but compared to the other fries at post, they're not much different. It was actually kinda dry in my opinion, not enough sauce was placed on the fries and the meat was dry as well. I honestly would not get this again, but I would have to try something else from the restaurant. I know my cousins got a platter, but also said it was average. Am I willing to try this place again? Of course!

    So good

We decided to check out Post Market on a Sunday night. It's pretty amazing, all the different types of cuisine. I chose to get crawfish from crazy cajun. They have different sauce and heat options. They have 3 and 5 lb options, I got the 5 lbs with sensation sauce, regular heat (fairly mild) and it came with 3 potatoes and 2 corn. The sensation sauce is a mix of Vietnamese and Cajun flavors. The crawfish quality was amazing and they were big! Being a native Louisianan I prefer more flavor in the boil. The outside flavor was delicious but inside was lacking flavor. I probably wouldn't get the crawfish again but would go back to try more things on the menu.

Great food and great location at Post! Tried their gumbo - very tasty and quick. Excited to try their other foods. Always fun to follow-up with some ice cream at other places in the food court.

Seafood crostini! Delicious and larger than I expected based off the picture! I ate 3 and was full since we only planned for a light nosh

Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad. It's just not working.

Make it an entree. :: And of course, their oysters. I'm an oyster happy hour girlie! Back at one of my favorites!…read more Started with the Smoked Redfish Dip and, as always, it did not disappoint. Creamy, smoky, flavorful, and paired with warm crackers... an easy 10/10. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. So naturally I sent them back and ordered my tried-and-true favorite... Chargrilled Oysters with extra garlic butter, Parmesan, and bacon. Now THAT'S what I came for! Rich, buttery, cheesy, smoky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite reminded me why these are my go-to. And because brunch rules apply... it was only right to enjoy a pineapple mimosa (or two ). Light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for all that seafood. If you're visiting Goode Co. Seafood, my advice is simple: Don't skip the Smoked Redfish Dip. Order the Chargrilled Oysters. Add extra garlic butter. Thank me later. 9.5/10 -- I'll definitely be back! #LoveJonesEats #HoustonEats #GoodeSeafood #ChargrilledOysters #SeafoodLover #HoustonFoodie #BrunchVibes #MimosaMood #SupportLocal #FoodieFinds

We went around 6 p.m. on a weekday, and they had a steady flow of business. It's a small restaurant with a small parking lot, but they do have an additional lot across the street. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our waiter was also tending the bar. He was incredibly friendly and working hard, but because he seemed to be juggling so much on his own, service was on the slower side. For the appetizer, we ordered the Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels, and I got the redfish for my entrée. The Brussels sprouts were flash-fried perfectly, and I loved the sweetness of the chili honey glaze. The oysters had a nice crispy coating, but I found them to be a little bland. The redfish, though, was absolutely the star of the meal. I cleaned my plate. It was served with Hoppin' John and a lemon butter sauce. I had never heard of Hoppin' John before, but it's essentially a Southern rice-and-bean dish, and paired with that lemon butter, it was so flavorful. It complemented the fish perfectly.
