First time I've tried this place. Food was good, atmosphere loud and fun! Prices a little high but other than that I liked it!

Pretty much everything about this place was on point. From the food to the service, everything was great, so we'll get that right off the bat. I really liked the shrimp po boy and the seasoned fries. The fountain drink and dressing station were both very clean as well, which helped the fourth star along. Generally, the restaurant was clean although there was more than expected garbage on the floor and the only two trash cans in the dining room were overflowing. Regardless, the atmosphere was great and the wide assortment on the menu was very interesting. Nearby customers seemed to enjoy batches of crawfish and crab legs. Make sure you try the beignets for dessert though, those are definitely worth a visit alone. It's like a weird mix of Red Lobster, TGI Friday and your favorite Asian restaurant. UPDATE! Came back as promised with the family. Took up Katie (kind and friendly business manager) on her offer to try a Oyster Po Boy Basket again (on them). My wife also wanted to try so I ordered another. My mother in law wanted the Shrimp Po Boy basket. We also ordered One Crawfish Pho and 1 lb of garlic butter Crawfish to share. Thanks for the complimentary Oyster Po Boy, but I was once again disappointed by the oysters, my basket had what seemed like oyster "tidbits" because they were, unfortunately, small (much smaller than my first visit just 2 days ago) and once again overcooked (maybe because they were small and the cooking time would not be as long as larger ones?). Katie explained that oysters are different sizes, but I think the portions should be equal regardless, or else it is hard to order it is just based on "luck of the draw" so to say. The other Po Boy oysters (which my wife ate) were larger than mine, for the most part, but still slightly overcooked. My wife definitely loved the crawfish much but said she would not order the oysters again.... She would opt for the shrimp which my mother in law really enjoyed. The fries were once again excellent, we all loved them. We also all agreed That the Crawfish Pho was wonderful, with the broth having a nice flavor, the noodles tasty, and the included crawfish plus andouille sausage a great match. NOTE: the military discount does not apply to crawfish! Not sure if it applies to the crabs. Thank you also for the beignet fries, they were excellent. I hope you don't mind the criticism, they are only meant to help you. We will of course be back soon, just probably not for the fried oysters, (raw on the half shell is probably next for me). Buttery garlic Crawfish is great! Pho is "good" I prefer the pho from Pho Ann. Their beignets are not true LA beignets so I wasn't a fan. The customer service is a bit dry, I feel like the true Louisianan fashion Is more friendly and welcoming. I have been waiting to go here since I seen they were coming. I tried on Saturday, but with the line out the door....couldn't do it. So today I made the trip, and this was the best time to come. We have been waiting to try this place out since we love shrimp, crawfish and crab boils. We ordered a mix of everything with Cajun seasoning and everything was very tasty, the seasoning was so good we didn't want any to go to waste. But this place is not going to receive a good rating from us because the place is so very dirty. From the moment you walk in, the glass door is filthy and the floor is disgusting. I understand that boiling pot restaurants can be messy so a couple suggestions- you need paper towel rolls on the table. The little napkin dispense didn't work. The instructions for setting up your table states that you set it up and tear it down but there are no large trash cans. Please add some trash cans. Since everyone is washing their hands so often the floors near the restrooms were wet especially outside the kitchen, rubber kitchen mats would be useful. Also the restrooms needed attention and did not have soap. The one server working delivering the food was not very friendly or helpful. Forks and knifes are not given you have to ask and even then she didn't bring them to us. Overall the food is fantastic and all these items can be fixed, I hope you take these suggestions and put someone in charge of keeping the store front clean and organized. Let start of by saying that I haven't tried the food here yet. However I placed an order today at 6:31 , they were polite and they informed me it would take about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. My husband went after work, he text me at 6:40 saying he had arrived at LA CRAWFISH. He sent me another text at 6:58 saying he was still waiting on the food. Went there with a couple of military friends and it was not as good as the LA Crawfish on the other side of town in Wilshire. You have to ask the waitresses for everything and they move in slow motion. The other location you get what you need as many times as you want without waiting. Then there was a missing bag of food and instead of them actively helping us they told us to look around for it ourselves. We found it but its all about the principle of costumer service. Here's how it goes down: You get in line, order, but you should send someone in your party to grab a table cuz it's pretty crowded in there on the weekend. We tried 3 flavors of wings: lemon pepper, sweet & sour, tamarind. All were delicious but tamarind was my FAV!!! The crawfish pho is perfection! Just wish it would've had a bit more crawfish but I'd still order it again. It's a family environment, the service is great, and despite the crowd when you first get in line you actually get your food pretty quick. They give you a sheet of butcher paper to lay out on your table (which is customary at most cajun crawfish spots) This just adds to the family-style, down and dirty appeal but dont forget to bus your table before you leave! As an out of towner with Southern roots, I am always excited to get some good crawfish when in town. They are currently out of season so I really should have known better but decided to give it a try anyways. My official response is Meh. I had them and wouldn't go back. I ended up getting a lb of crawfish with corn, potatoes, and sausage. Followed by a second lb when that was completed. Tried their crawfish and had good flavors and the crawfish head was really tasty! I also tried their pho bowl and it was 3 out of 5. The price is a little expensive and so my friends ordered the crawfish but I ordered their pho bowl and chicken wings. My friends didnt eat the head so I was happy to help them eat the juice inside their heads that have really good flavor and taste. Will go back to try other things in their menu. read more

I eat crawfish every Saturday in Houston. I don't like the La Crawfish restaurants in Houston so I already knew this one wouldn't be good. My mother and brother don't eat as much crawfish or seafood as I do so I figured we would come here anyway during my visit since there are not many places to choose from in San Antonio. I had the crawfish with two corns and sausage, my mother had the blue crab and a shrimp po boy, and my brother had gumbo, and shrimp. First off the seasonings taste awful, we each had a different flavor and I didn't like any. The Cajun tasted like season salt with basil and the garlic butter tasted funny, I didn't like them. The crawfish were super small and they didn't appear to be fresh because of how they looked and were over cooked because they were sticking to the shells. Their crawfish is also small in Houston and are not fresh either. The sausage was soft and had a weird texture and they don't serve them in the bag with your seafood which I thought was odd. My mother liked her blue crab so that's why they get one star. I would not recommend this place especially not if you come to Houston, there are far better places to eat crawfish. The people who like this obviously never had good crawfish. read more
