    Juan speciality plate

Juan was a excellent server and recommended us his speciality plate and it was a 10/10

Here on a Friday, lots of people. Small establishment with a small band of 5 people and a speaker. Yah. Too loud for this place m never the less was entertaining. Food was ok, I personally was not impressed. Appetizers, the guacamole was top notched & noticeable fresh. The pescado chicharróns a large portion, fresh and crunchy. The calamari was pretty good. The tamarindo margarita was a big too sweet. No combo plate of fried shrimps and oysters. So I ordered the fried shrimps, batter was ok. Fries were not desirable, Luke warm. Paella was good, portions enough for 2. The Spicy seafood pasta tasted like it was made with a lot of Valentina, portion enough for 2 The only things I found enjoyable was the guacamole & the attempted entertainment. Personally would not return. If so only for the appetizers.

This is one of my go spot for seafood. Their food is so amazing. My favorite is the huachinango al la nayarit. Their drinks are great too. The service is always amazing. They have great ambiance as there is live music.

We dined during the week close to 5pm. There were plenty of tables available. We were seated promptly. The ambiance is relaxing with pleasant Spanish music in the background playing, not too loud. Tostadas and ceviche were brought immediately, as well as the drinks. We ordered Coctel de Cameron and fish tacos. Everything was good. I was just not impressed. The prices are a bit steep, though. Service was fast and friendly. Personally, I don't see myself coming back. Come check them out for yourself and let us know your feedback!!

Huachinango (snapper) with delicious white rice and veggies. It also came with fries and garlic bread.

I was pleasantly surprised by this seafood restaurant. Portions were generous and the flavor was on point. My husband and I enjoyed the comfortable ambience and friendly staff. Several members of the staff stopped by to make sure everything tasted well. Food was served quickly and piping hot!

4/23 - This place is on my list every time I go see my friend at St. Mary's or in the area. Finally got to eat here for lunch and it lived up to the hype. Not very crowded when we got there, but became busier. All the food looked good at the tables, but we were there for the Molcajete Cora. There is some fried corn tortillas, Ceviche mix, and green salsa. This was a great start to the meal with a green salsa that had some kick. The Molcajete Cora comes with Shrimp, octopus, mussels, crab legs, fish, abulone and chopped clams in a sauce that slowly grows to a perfect spice burn. I used the corn tortillas to soak up this great stew. It is a fair amount of food for one person and a good shareable plate for seafood lovers. Service was on top of our waters and making sure the tortillas stayed full. Really enjoyed this place

Their shrimp is not deveined correctly, it wasn't just one but probably half of the shrimp on my plate was dirty.

I'm not going to lie, I had always like las Islas Maria's. Their mojarra is the best. We ordered take out and I felt like I wanted Caldo so I ordered shrimp soup. I ordered without the peel to make sure the shrimp was cleaned/deveined. At first I thought it was, then I started finding more and more that were not. About half of the shrimp was not deveined yuk. It seems like a poor attempt at cleaning it .Definitely puts their care and cleanliness into question. I am not trusting their ceviche now.

My mouth is still salivating thinking about eating here. We came with a group of four and there was about a 15 minute wait. We were seated and brought out some tostadas, limes, salsas, and complimentary ceviche! It was very fresh and not fishy tasting- very good. Our group decided to get the cerveza preparadas with six tecates garnished with shrimp, cucumbers, chamoy, lime, etc. we originally thought it was a little pricy at $45 but omg its a bargain! It comes served on a huge platter with seafood on it including crab and octopus. It's drinks and an appetizer. My husband and i split the paella and half a dozen oysters. The oysters were fresh and just what you would expect. The paella was delicious. Maybe a tad bit salty, but the beer helped with that. This place was really delicious and had large servings and blew my expectations out of the water. We will definitely be back!

    The place was packed.

We were brought the wrong meal as there was a mixup with ours and another party's orders, but it was quickly rectified and with minimal issue. I almost always get the same thing whenever I visit a Sea Island and this time was no different. The Lot 'O' Shrimp never fails to satisfy. Crispy breading on plump shrimp dipped in tangy cocktail sauce is the way to go. A hefty side of French Fries, delicious Southern Green Beans, and fluffy Hush Puppies go excellently alongside them. And don't forget a sweet Strawberry Lemonade to keep you quenched! I've tried other dishes on the menu but this one is my absolute favorite. If you haven't tried Sea Island, it's a must. But my best friends really wanted to give it another shot, so we went for it. And I have to say, they pretty much turned it around this time. The staff was super attentive, checking on us often and making sure we were well taken care of. It felt like they really wanted to make this a positive experience. The food was great: crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab with their signature spice blend that's definitely on the spicy side but absolutely delicious. We also tried the regular fries, and next time I'm definitely going for the sweet potato fries to keep it a little more glycemic-friendly. And here's a fun detail we loved: their Pepsi products were spot on. It's like the Pepsi equivalent of how McDonald's nails their Coke--perfectly carbonated and just right. So yes, there's still a little knot in my throat from that past hiccup, but this visit really helped untie it. We left happy and we'll definitely be back. We were greeted pretty quickly when we walked in. Our group ordered half-shell oysters, baked Cajun oysters, a shrimp po' boy, and a catfish po' boy. The baked Cajun oysters were my favorite and all of us unanimously agreed the fries were some of the best we've had in a while. Perfectly crispy. The shrimp and catfish in the po' boys were deep-fried with a classic cornmeal breading. It was pretty standard, but satisfying. One unexpected and cool touch is that they serve beer... and soju.
