The service was not up to par to other LA Crawfish locations I've been to in other cities. It took over 30 minutes for a Crawfish Pho. The pho itself was a 3/5, it was more in the sweet side for me and the brisket I added wasn't the best quality but overall it had all the right ingredients and had good taste. I did like the ambience, they were showing sports on the screens. It was clean and spacious! The restroom needs a little makeover lol. I will return to give other items on the menu a chance. read more

This USED to be a great place to get crawfish but I have noticed a decline in flavor. I don't know what happened, but this place is not the same. The crawfish, potatoes, corn, and sausage were very bland.... Flavorless. It's not worth the price. I can also tell that it's not fresh catch, must be last seasons catch. Disappointed. The food was just ok but two things 1. I wish restaurants that use swai in place of catfish would go away 2. A two piece basket is ONE piece of fish cut in half... Everything was great, ordered delivery through door dash. Very fast, it is always fast when i've gone to the restaurant as well. Everything was still warm when it got to me & all items are packaged very well to prevent spillage. The Beignets are delicious, warm sweet & soft with a little crunch. Yeah, no. The entire family regretted not staying home and making grilled cheese sandwiches. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the place was relatively clean and our orders came out at a decent rate. The staff member taking our orders played with his long hair so much it made me cringe. Then I saw they had those robot waiters and I calmed a little. Speaking of the robots, when there's only two tables seated on a Tuesday evening, it makes more sense for the staff member to just walk the orders out, but, again, poor hygiene allowed me to cope. The meal wasn't worth the price. We ordered the "chickaronnes" seasoned with spicy garlic and they came seasoned with frying oil. When we asked for seasoning we were told it had some on there but there was no indication in appearance OR flavor of it. We ended up sending it back and getting a refund. The "awesome garlic noodle" dish wasn't even average. The bowl that I received, when compared to the images on their online menu is laughable. One pitiful crawfish with minuscule pieces of crawfish tails and unidentifiable black strips of something that I can only assume were "caramelized" onions irritated me so badly that I swore this place off for good. The portion for the price was even more irritating. The rest of the meal- oyster po' boys and a shrimp and oyster basket- was devoid of seasoning and the oysters tasted old, according to my kids and hubby. Been here twice just this October. Went back because of the wings with the tamarind sauce and the beignets sticks. Love the shrimp po' boy a lot. It's served warm with the generous serving of crunchy and fresh tasting shrimps. Love the sauce/dressing they put on this sandwich, just the right amount of tanginess and kick of heat. Service is saved by the cute and interesting robot. They have a sign on the counter that they are understaffed. We noticed they have been understaffed since the COVID pandemic. Not really sure why they were never got the chance to get more servers. But the lady in the counter is always very warm, patient and attentive. Just feel bad for her since she have a lot of stuff to do--from answering the phone, picking-up the automated orders from a machine to taking orders and payments from hungry customers like us. That's a lot of stuff to juggle around for--most likely--a meager pay. Good thing this place is not so huge so less area for their service crew to clean-up between dining customers. read more

Just ok. This place has a strange combination of food.... Cajun, pho and wings. The Cajun is limited no gumbo or red beans and rice. Mostly fried foods and crawfish. We order the fried catfish basket and shrimp po' boy. Our hostess/waitress clearly didn't care to be there. We ordered ice tea to drink. I think I had a total of 3 cubes that quickly melted. I also asked for lemon which I was told they didn't have. Strange in a place that has fish. My catfish basket then came out with lemons. They don't have condiments on the table so you have to go up and ask for them which was a little annoying because we had to make a couple trips and the waitress/hostess was tied up on the register. The food was fried extremely well and it had good flavor. The shrimp po boy was full of shrimp and the fries were excellent. The food was solid but that's about it. read more

This restaurant is skimping big time on the meats for pho dishes. Pieces of meat of such a small amount for food over $18 is unacceptable. This restaurant used to be a favorite of ours for 4 years until this last year all of our orders have had barely any meat in them compared to previous years. Our last 6-7 orders were exactly the same issue. Even after walking my food back up to the counter to ask for more I was told by the rep that he would "get in trouble" for asking the chef to add more meat to the order. Tee Pham had invited and met us @gongchasatx for bubble tea a few weeks ago. He extended the invite for us to check out @lacrawfishsanantonio Culebra location and so we headed there for dinner tonight. When I looked at the menu, I was most excited to try the oysters and the chickarrones and both did not disappoint. The oysters were served 3 different ways - Korean style, Japanese Ponzu topped with red masago and Thai Green Chili. The Japanese and Korean ones were my favorites. The Chickarrones are chicken cracklings that are just so crunchy and comes in several flavors. We had the chicken wings in 2 different flavors - Sweet & Sour (Dad's favorite) and Thai Tamarind. Both are finger licking good! What's unique is the Pho Crawfish Cajun. Dad loved the noodles, crawfish and pho combo. Tee treated us to the seafood boil, which had crab, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, sausages and corn. Way too much food for us to finish. There's enough leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Another Dad favorite was the beignets! Dad kept eating them! Dad loves his sweets! Dad was mesmerized to see the robot serving our food. @lacrawfishsanantonio first used the robots! If you haven't checked them out, plan on it soon! The Michelada is spicy and yummy! read more

My husband and I went the other day and the food was mediocre at best. I asked for a menu because I have bad eyesight and I don't like looking up at a screen. The mail cashier looked at me with a puzzled look and just pointed to the screen. Just down on the counter were menus. I guess he was new because I tried asking him what was in things and he had no idea. After we order and pay, we were told it's a self service condiment bar and utensil bar. Being a seafood restaurant we were never offered any a tartar or other sauce for our fish. As I was about ready to leave, I noticed they actually had it behind the counter. The only way I would go back is to get takeout. Inside the restaurant is dusty and uncleaned. The restaurant got a B rating, but I doubt they are a B anymore. It's been awhile since we've been here as we were craving for pho. This was my first time ordering to-go so it was definitely a different experience. I ordered their spicy beef pho and there was a few beef pieces and my sons crawfish pho had one crawfish in it. Portion size felt smaller than if you were eating in the restaurant and the quality didn't match up to what I remembered. Of course the noodles were expected to be stuck together but it made it harder to eat because I felt like I was taking a huge bite of noodles instead of sipping it. Also make sure you request utensils, sriracha and hoisin sauce since it wasn't provided in our order. Please know that they no longer offer the 10% off your order through Yelp. I mentioned the discount and they said it's no longer offered there. I would come back here but will definitely eat in instead. read more

La Crawfish is starting to become a huge disappointment. They used to be my favorite place to go now I will never go again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Let me preface this: I am a native of New Orleans so this review may be a bit more critical than most. Okay. Now...So I was having a craving for seafood so I decided to give this place a shot. I was bit skeptical as I ordered but still decided to push forward. I must say that the shrimp was cooked to perfection, but the oysters were a bit over cooked so it threw off the balance of the poboy. Also, the roux was a bit off as it had that burned taste to it. I think a little gumbo file would have fixed it. That's just me though. Overall I think I will visit again and get just the shrimp poboy and ask for an extra portion as I'm used to overstuffed poboys and it wasn't enough shrimp for my liking. First time visiting LA Crawfish. Walking in you go straight to the register. You place your order at the counter then self seat. Your server will come with your drinks and bring your food out when it's ready. I ordered a dozen garlic butter shrimp, potatoes and corn. They do charge per side you order. Each potato, each corn, etc you order is an additional charge. I feel the shrimp had just the right flavor and the sides tasted great as well. At the end of your meal if you payed with card your server will then have you sign your receipt. I believe that's for the purpose of adding a tip (which I feel you could do before hand or on the table alone if you wanted). read more

I ordered the seafood gumbo as well as the shrimp basket at the Loop 410 location. I did not care much for the gumbo because the entire bowl was full of white rice and maybe 10 tablespoons of gumbo mixture. I felt that was a waste of money. I was better off just ordering a bowl of white rice. I ended up tossing it. The shrimp basket I ordered 8 piece shrimp with sweet potato fries and the fries were very greasy. Been a while since we had been here. It used to be really good. Either quality has gone down or it was just an off day. Talking about nickel and diming. I get it paying for extras is expected. But to charge for sauce on your crawfish is like paying extra for a bun on your hamburger. And if you're gonna charge me for a potato at least make sure it's cooked all the way through. The magic rice had no flavor. After being served asked for a fork to eat my rice, and of course no forks and I was told to just use a spoon. Sorry for the rant. Just a bad experience. You might think from the name that there is only cajun food, but again yes they serve pho, wings, po boys and more. I'm not sure what surprised me more about my LA Crawfish experience: 1) The chicken wings were my favorite part or 2) The lady at the bench next to us telling her kids that one of the friends they came with is allergic to shellfish and that's why they were at the other end of the bench The menu and options at LA Crawfish was quite overwhelming for me since it was my first going to a crawfish joint like this. My husband and I got a little bit of everything to try stuff out. He got the crawfish pho and I got a half pound of cajun style crawfish and six 5-spice basil chicken wings. We also split an order of a dozen thai chili oysters. The crawfish pho had a very interesting flavor and was overall an "OK" pho. The oysters were large and juicy, but I'll prefer to get them without a topping next time. That's not to say the thai chili was bad, it was good but just not what I'm personally looking for on top of an oyster. The 5-spice basil wings had a bit of a sweet flavor to them and they were crispy and juicy. I'll definitely at least go back to get chicken wings. However, the main dish of the night was of course the crawfish. They came out in a bag loaded with the lovely cajun spices, but sadly the spices had not penetrated into the crawfish shells since they were just tossed in the sauce (I think).
