    Cuban sandwich $13
    Chris T.

This may not be flashy but this place gets a lot of love from the locals. We walk up and before we even see the menu we hear "it's gonna be 10 min but it's going to be the best Cuban you've ever had!". And that sentiment seemed to be enthusiastically shared by everyone there. And omg, once we got it, we could see why. The menu is small but it's for a reason, the Cuban sandwich $13, is absolutely phenomenal and a great portion for sharing. If you're passing through Spring Hill and looking for lunch, go on by.

Holy moly, this Cuban sandwich has got to be one of the BEST I've ever had. I'm a picky girl considering my husband is half Cuban! We visited right after visiting the springs and it was the perfect stop before heading back! We got there a little before the rush but it's best to order ahead of time. We waited about 10 minutes for our sandwich. Just went with the classic Cuban sandwich for $13 since it was our first visit. When I opened the sandwich in the car I was impressed with how heavy it was. Literally perfect to share and lots of meat inside. The cheese was perfectly melted, pickles were perfect, flavorful pork and perfect sauce. The owner is super friendly and you won't go wrong getting a Cuban sandwich here! Just note it's cash only. Such a great sandwich!

Just ordered 3 Cuban sandwiches to go. The staff is very personable and the food is delicious. The food left my whole family satisfied.

If they used a higher quality meat I'd have enjoyed the Cuban much more. It was just Meh.

Ray and his staff are very friendly and his cuban sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. I think they had an off night…read more I was eating solo, ordered the most expensive btl of wine on the menu (specifically asked if it was okay to take remaining wine home with me, knowing I'd have about a glass and called for a pour of their nice bourbon selection .) Ordered mussels, great. Ordered special ribeye "crusted with lobster". Meat was mid well, "lobster" was a spoon of cold grocery store crab salad on top. At least that's what I thought. Side Salad was to be served last, but tat never happened, as I was ghosted. MgMT: My specific point; I bought literally everything the owner would want 1 person to buy ~$xxx check average. As a mgr I'd be table side wondering who the f this person was. I'm not asking for this, it's just kinda unsaid, especially with a $xx steak incorrectly toasted. I politely and quietly expressed my displeasure, with clear overcooked meat.... And once my displeasure was offered, no one touched my table there after. I actually tipped the bus boy $20, in person, on top. I'll give it another go, maybe I'll just try the fresh catch instead.

Three years ago I called Brian's Place a hidden gem. Well...I think the secret is officially out…read more Brian's Place has become one of our go-to restaurants, and after many visits, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. That's pretty rare these days. Whether we're stopping in for a nice dinner together or bringing friends from out of town, it's always at the top of our list. The food is consistently excellent. I'm a seafood guy, so that's usually where I end up, especially if there's a fresh catch or one of the specials on the menu. My wife almost always orders something completely different, and neither of us has ever looked across the table wishing we'd ordered the other person's meal. That's a pretty good sign that the kitchen knows what it's doing. The service has been just as consistent as the food. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. You never feel rushed, but you're also never left wondering where your server disappeared to. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. One of the things I appreciate most is that Brian's Place delivers every single time. We've been enough times that if there were off nights, we would have found one by now. Instead, every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. My advice? Bring a few friends, order a bottle of wine, share some appetizers, and enjoy the evening. Just don't forget to make a reservation because this place stays busy for a reason. Three years ago I recommended Brian's Place. Today I can recommend it even more enthusiastically. It's still one of our favorite restaurants, and it's one of those places we're always happy to introduce to someone who's never been. So far, every person we've brought has thanked us afterward--and that says it all.

Overall the food was very good and I would like to come back, but the service can be improved…read more I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very busy. We were seated right away and put in our orders. I'm not sure how long exactly but it felt like a very long time for us to receive our orders, especially for a table of 4 when the restaurant was mostly empty. The server never came by to update us while we were waiting. By the time we received the food, which was an appetizer, a chicken and 2 Cuban sandwiches, the Cubans weren't very warm at all. The food was very good at least and the Sangria was delicious, but I'm disappointed in the wait and the service. I'd like to give it another chance but it this is typical then I would not continue to come.

Then we were ignored for over 5 minutes while other tables were seated and waited on. Got the idea that not speaking Spanish had something to do with it. We finally got the attention of a server. He said he wasn't our server but that he'd take care of us. He turned out to be very good. Regarding the food, we started with the empanada trio. They came out hot and crispy. The chicken and beef were good but not much filling. We didn't enjoy the pizza one at all. For meals we had the shredded pork with rice, beans and plantains and a Cuban sandwich. Our food was very good. We each ordered the lemonade. Got the bill and saw they were $7 each. Wow. Guess we should have checked the menu for prices of drinks. Not sure we'll go back inside but may get takeout in the future.
