Gem! We came looking for best tacos in Bucerias and found nothing but closed businesses. Walking to beach deflated found an awesome piece of heaven. ITALIAN IT IS!! Mango margaritas 5/5, ensalada portofina 5/5 (mozzarella, sun-dried tomato, cherry tomato, Lombarda pizza ( 4.5/5 -flavors all there, but have like it crispier; good but might be my age and gluten management), grilled shrimp in a super yummy sauce. I didn't go with garlic sauce because wifey but it was an option. Atmosphere - probably one of the nicer spots in the area. January 27/2024: Dinner with the 5th Wheelers & Tony's Birthday. It's worth noting that the prices haven't changed since the last time I was here in October 2022. Also noteworthy, the place was jammed, not a single empty seat. The meal started out good. The Crispy Calamari was tasty as was the tartar sauce that came with it. Decent size order ($186.00Pesos). My main was the Tortellini Ragu ($204.00P). To my taste it was terrible. Simply NOT the flavour profile I expected & it damaged the Stars of the restaurant. Ended the meal with a very tasty Tiramisu ($128.00P), one of the better ones that I've had. Our server "Omar" was good but pushy when he asked for a 20% tip. It's family friendly and my very particular (ie: picky) kids always enjoy the pasta (one with red sauce, one with butter), as well as the bread, salad, pizza, and gelato for dessert. On a recent visit, my husband and I had a salad, a pizza, and a pesto pasta. We were still a bit hungry, so we helped the kids finish off a misto fritto and ordered a second salad. Greeted promptly on this beautiful day in January. In English was a pleasant but not expected surprise. There is a choice of seating, inside and out, with an ample number of tables without feeling crowded. I opted for the patio. It was a sunny warm day so the covered patio offered the shade needed for a very pleasant experience. I ordered the spinach and ricotta filled ravioli with marinara. Salad was a separate option. I ordered a glass of house wine that I found was the same price as the entrees! The salad was very good. Typical balsamic vinaigrette. Hearts of palms was a nice touch. The bread was closer to a breadstick in loaf form. A tasteless spread (butter?) was served with it. The ravioli was nothing to write home about so I will refrain from doing so here. 97% pasta maybe 3% filling....maybe. So little it offered no taste. I kept seeking that slight sweet in the tomato sauce that never came. Not enough portion to warrant a to go box. The wine was okay. Service was not timely. Had to seek help for silverware. Waited an extreme time for dessert. By that time, my hunger was gone. Asked several times for my check. If you seek an average Italian experience for $35. This is your place. read more

They give out big portions and so glad we ordered only one entree because we were stuffed. We didn't want to order too much. We had too many leftovers back at the Airbnb already. I made the mistake of ordering the spaghetti mari e monte which the description says has "a touch of cream". Being lactose intolerant I thought I could handle "a touch of cream"...turns out I can't. We made a reservation for dinner last night and when we arrived, we were brought upstairs to our table. Unfortunately there was a young kids birthday party of 20-25. Every waiter upstairs was overwhelmed trying to accommodate the large table and could not service the 5 other tables. Everyone looked angry as they sat waiting for any attention from our waiters. It was horrible. Why sit other tables upstairs if you don't have enough waiters to service them? We, along with the other tables, all left upset. Friends told us to come here for good pizza. I would have to say the pizza was just ok. We got the veggie and seafood pizza and both were kinda blah. They weren't very hot. The crust wasn't very good and we found it bland and not great. Our waiter seemed to have an attitude. I don't know if it's because we were speaking to him in Spanish while he spoke to us on English or if we just annoyed him in general. We also had a couple glasses of wine which were good and a nice selection but a bit pricey. If you're looking for good pizza go elsewhere other this place might be ok for other items. read more

We had dinner here last night, and if you've read any of my reviews, you know I like a great steak! With that, we both ordered the Angus NY strip and it was incredibly flavorful and tender. I'm a big girl, and normally, I prefer to cut my own steak, but this one came out sliced, cooked to perfection and the arugula with shaved parmesan was, surprisingly, a nice compliment. We shared a bottle of an Argentinian wine, Alto Vista, and we didn't care for it. My wife and I have been coming to La Dolce Vita over nine years. Tonight, we had a wonderful meal at La Dolce Vita. We ordered calamari fritti to begin with, and a Caprese salad to share. The serving of calamari was generous, cooked to perfection, and served with an excellent dipping sauce. The calamari rings were large and meaty. The salad was well seasoned, the tomatoes were sun-ripened and full of flavour. The mozzarella was delicious and not the mass produced kind, but the mozzarella de buffo style. For main course, I had chicken a la parmigiana, breaded in Parmesan cheese, and cooked until tender. The side of mashed potatoes was very tasty, and the mixed veggies were done just right. We had toasted bread with garlic butter, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My wife had veal cutlets a la Milanese, with a generous side of roasted potatoes. She was very happy with her selection. There was leftover food, and we brought it home. We did not have dessert, but our experience has been that the selection is varied and excellent. One of my favourites is panna cotta. The waiters were attentive, polite and courteous. The food is reasonably priced. The service and the food is of consistent quality over the many years we have been coming to this lovely restaurant. read more

Terrible experience!!! The noise is obnoxious. When someone has a birthday they sing a song and bang pots and pans together, it's disgusting. That alone ruined our dinner, we have tried it twice and happened both times, never again. There is a restaurant across the street that is noisy and it's hard to talk but this was by far our worst experience in PV and we live here and have eaten at many restaurants in the neighborhood, go to another one that has good good and is not so juvenile!!! I have had the chance to eat at La Dolce Vita twice. They get crowded and definitely make a reservation. Even if you call the same day it is better than showing up.
