Food was amazing. They have a sauce for one of the dishes which pairs well with fries. I had the steak. Cooked perfectly and honestly more flavor than Jeff Ruby's. Need to to back

I would eat this all over again tomorrow. Ohmigosh I love empanadas but these Argentinian authentic ones are the best I've ever had. I ordered the pulled chicken and cheese, the 5 cheese and the beef with olives. The empanadas were cooked perfectly, hot, fresh, crispy and not greasy at all. The pulled chicken was moist and flavorful. The 5 cheese was delectable, but my favorite was the beef...perfectly seasoned, with green olives, diced egg, it was stellar. The service was wonderful, the owner came out and gave us a warm welcome. She also recommended a dessert empanada, "Chocotella" with bananas and Nutella inside. We will definitely be returning to this delicious place!

SO GOOD! Steak was cooked perfectly! The food was delicious, honestly no complaints. I loved every moment of it. I will be coming back trying new things! Service was a little slow but only one person working so we get it! However regardless waiter was so sweet and nice and still attentive. The place is a little small, and if it was busy, you would need to make reservations. However, great little intimate small place. We will be coming back, and I already can't wait to tell my friends.

First time having Argentinian food and it definitely impressed! The owners and staff are more than willing to explain everything and give recommendations. The decor is pretty and eclectic, casual enough to stop in but could also show up to celebrate an occasion! The salad was very unique with potato crisps on top. They also have a beet & boiled egg dish that is a traditional side; kinda reminded me of pickled eggs without the spice! The empanada was perfectly crispy and Delicious. The steaks and sausage were all phenomenal and had a ton of flavor.

We had such a great experience at La Embajada! The food was incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic Argentinian cuisine. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. What really made the meal special though, was the staff and owner. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and the owner went completely above and beyond. She personally came over to introduce herself, made sure we were enjoying everything, and even brought out Legos for my child to play with so we could relax and enjoy our meal. That level of kindness and thoughtfulness is rare. La Embajada isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a place that makes you feel genuinely cared for. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend! Beautiful inside as well. I probably should have taken a better picture than the one I'm adding to this review but I was just eating and forgot lol!

This is our second visit to La Embajada. We knew going in to expect a slower pace. We ordered everything at once this evening. The meal was delicious. My favorites are the yuca fries and side salad. There were two sausages and both were flavorful. The steak was cooked well and we both saved that for last. I wanted dessert but it was late. Next time I'll get the chocolate empanada. The decor makes it feel very homey yet elevated. The ladies are both so friendly & welcoming. I think they could use another server, but we really enjoy eating here for a special experience.

Authentic Argentinian food in the area for two years. We are so happy we found this little gem located in a strip mall on the corner. It was around 5 pm when we stopped in and there was one other party there. It did get a little busy while we were eating but the noise level remained low despite the smaller size. The service was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. They serve beer and wine and have an extensive menu as well. We both had empanadas and there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. We were served our food by the owner herself who was thoughtful, helpful, and full of energy. It was our anniversary so we had dessert (churro and a chocolate empanada). Dessert was just the right size and superb as well. Highly recommend and tell your friends too! We will return the next time we are in the area!

In town for work and stopped at this hidden Gem . I got a 16 ounce ribeye dry age for 30 days and it was delicious. I will be popping in here every time I'm coming to town.

I have never been to Argentina and now I'm not sure if I have to go. This place is quaint, with a nice dining environment, and delicious food. The empanadas and steak were out of this world. You gotta try the pulled chicken and cheese empanadas.

The feel of this place is fun and the owners are very energetic. They didn't have their soul as it was taken off unless it's winter. I was disappointed by this because I love their corn soup. They now have the empanadas as a single price each instead of the three for one price. They were a bit more greasy than I remember from the last time. That is all we tried this time.

We could not have asked for a nicer dining experience. Another one of the gems found through Yelp! Wonderful food choices (we came for the empanadas, and stayed for the meal!), awesome, friendly service, and a quiet, peaceful environment. Love that we could easily have a conversation. And love that the owner visited with us to make sure that we had a good time. Wonderful story. We will be happy to come back many times!

Hooray, they are no longer "underground" and have a beautiful place! We came here after an afternoon movie at Cinepolis. As a hearing impaired person, I appreciate the investment in sound tiles and beautiful & relaxing piano music (played by owner Monica's husband ) so we could hear our conversation and our terrific server, Diana. Oh, and the foooooood! We split the steak sampler among 4 of us, plus several empanadas and couple other appetizers. Everything was wonderful! The steak was cooked to medium, still very good though next time I'll remember to ask for it more rare. I've been searching for a good chimichuri sauce (granted, not many choices in Dayton) since we moved from TX and found it here! Both Monica and Diana were super friendly and food came out quickly. Homemade ice cream, a banana/Nutella empanada, and churros topped off a great experience. Can't wait to go back!

Don't blink or you you will miss this new little gem…read more We decided to try out a new Mediterranean restaurant and let's just say it did not disappoint The parking I could see be a challenge however we had no issues with parking at approximately 6pm. It's a shared parking lot woth a few other businesses. The inside is nicely decorated, roomy, and very clean. The service was great friendly and quick. Just like we like it. The menu was a wide variety something for everyone. Even included a kid menu with more traditional food like a hamburger. Prices are great and the portions are large. You will not leave hungry. We ordered a dew different things to try out the menu 1. Large order of fries $7.99 I like to think I am a fry snob lol and love to try them aleverywhere I go. Anyways they were nicely fried crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. What made them stand out from others was the seasoning and wait for it. It was only lemon pepper lol and let me tell you I don't know if I can go back to just salt again. The lemon pepper on the fries was just the right zip I needed. No ketchup needed either and I never thought I would say that lol also this could have easily been a side for 2 to 4 people. 2. Large Greek salad added Chicken shawarma. I cannot remember the price. But the amount of chicken I got on the salad was crazy and had a great flavor my taste buds really enjoyed the seasoning (garlic, cumin, cardamom, maybe cinnamon, and tumeric) all the tangy, sweet, warm, and smokey in each bite. The dressing was very refreshing with a red wine vinegar. 2. Beef shawarma $10.99 and I swear this was the size of a toddlers arm. The juicy tender beef with more amazing seasoning I swear this place had tons of flavor (garlic, lime, cardamom, and again maybe cinnamon) with some fresh veggies lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Wrapped in tortilla and you can easy eat this with one hand driving down the highway lol. The side of sauce also is packed with flavor such garlic and I loved it. Anyways don't pass it up and stop in try something today

I ordered the Lamb Kabab Wrap ($10.99) while hubby got the Gyro & Fries ($9.99) & a can of soda pop ($1.50). When we looked at the receipt, we noticed I was charged for a can of soda pop also even though I didn't order one. We waited 15 minutes for our order to be made. It was brought to our table hot off the grill. My lamb kabab wrap was swimming in a tasty garlic sauce which came with a side of tzatziki sauce. It was scrumptious with big chunks of delicious lamb. I tasted hubby's gyro & fries and they were really good. We will definitely return here.

The service was also very good and we never had to wait long for anything. Now the food was a different story. While everything was good, the for was absolutely amazing! I had the prime rib kabob. This was a mixed experience…read more First - there felt like some confusion about where the entrance was. I know this was a challenge because another couple rolled up after us and also said "oh we are also looking for this place!" Second - service was... not great. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes before anyone even came to take our drinks order - and this was after I stared at the bar for a long time. The tables on either sides... waited a long time for checks and table did not even get cleared for a good 30 to 40 minutes after they left. We had to request extra utensils.. the table only had a set for 2, and they sat the three of us. Towards the end, we ordered our desert to go and the check just so that we would not be stuck waiting... Third? Food is indeed amazing and delish! Their hummus was yummy. I loved my turkish soda with watermelon and strawberry. The tea was good. My husband tried the turkish tea - it was good.. my kebab meal originally did not come with rice - so i ordered a side of it. Important to mention because the rice is freakin delicious a. It was sooo aromatic - like I wantwd to eat two servings of it. Get it if you love rice. Husbands steak was a little chewier than he liked, but he agreed the rice was so good. Overall the food itself meth the expectations that other reviewers put. The service has room for improvement. I would definitely like to come back and give the last star for service..

The menu SUGGESTED adding mayo but that's apparently not allowed anymore. The place was weirdly quiet, the drink station was dirty, the Greek potato's in my to go order were FREEZING. The sauce on the side was a mix of liquid and chunky and was needed because there was zero seasoning on the potato's. The wrap had no pickle but promised pickle. The lettuce in the wrap was brown in places. The chicken was good but this place has gone way down. Probably won't be back here again. Too bad!!!

We stopped here for dinner on a long, long, long drive north to the Detroit area. I really wanted…read moreto get a small taste of local flavor instead of just eating fast food, and Olive was more or less on our way, so we hopped off the interstate to grab a bite. Now, from some of the pictures of the outside on Yelp, it looks like this is a standalone business with a private parking lot. That might have been the case at one time, but either the business moved or it has a second location that's freestanding and the pics are in the wrong spot, as that's not the case now. This Olive is very much in the downtown-ish area, carved into the ground floor of a much larger building. As such, parking may be a bit more challenging since there doesn't appear to be a private lot. That said, we had no trouble finding a spot on the street within a block or two. Parking was paid for with the Passport app, and it was reasonable. Of course, it might be harder during nicer weather -- not a lot of people out on a rainy evening! We walked in to find the restaurant fairly spacious but almost deserted -- only two other people waiting for to-go orders. Kind of odd for a Friday night, but again...weather. The decorations are kind of sparse but the place, including the bathroom, was clean. We ordered our meal at the counter and sat down to wait. Husband got a gyro and fries, and I got the Shish tawook platter, which came with grilled chicken, a salad, rice, and pita. We also got an order of the Greek potatoes to try out as an appetizer. Service was a little gruff at checkout but gave us a genuine, kind-hearted thank you as we left, so I guess they just had to warm up to us, lol. The potatoes came out first and were my favorite part of the meal! They were clearly cooked fresh. I'm honestly not sure what's Greek about them as they kinda reminded me of hash browns (the cubed, hash kind) with a little squeeze of lemon and maybe some herbs on top...but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! They were piping hot and very crispy. Husband and I enjoyed our meals, too. His gyro was very large and almost over-stuffed with gyro meat. The fries were medium-cut but tasted like McDonald's fries somehow...not complaining. My Shish tawook was very juicy and flavorful. I've had better rice and pita but these were both quite serviceable and I enjoyed a fairly healthy-feeling meal. Honestly, my true rating is maybe more in-line with a 3.5...but I don't have any super severe criticisms and we had a quite pleasant time overall, so I'll just round up to a 4. Seems like they do a lot of carryout / delivery business. I'd recommend this spot for a decently healthy, very fresh Mediterranean bite if you're in the area.

The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, onion rings, and mozzarella cheese sticks were packed in styrofoam containers. The Tzatziki sauce for the sandwich and marinara sauce for the mozzarella cheese sticks were placed in plastic containers which were then placed in a small paper bag. Items were then placed in a big paper bag that was stapled together. Food was packed very well. The Greek-Style Philly Cheesesteak is basically gyro-style lamb meat but instead of placing it in pita bread it is put in a submarine-sandwich style roll with cheese on top. I picked provolone cheese. The sandwich was overflowing with a good amount of gyro meat, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem very fresh. I did eat one half of it, and the meat was good, but if I ever order from here again, I would get the sandwich without the lettuce and tomatoes. The bread on the sandwich was pretty good though. The onion rings were a disappointment. They were soggy to me. Not much of a crunch and it didn't seem they were freshly cooked. The mozzarella cheese sticks were really good. Out of everything in my order, these seemed to be the best. Overall, I would not recommend. I liked the idea of gyro meat on a submarine sandwich bun, but the lettuce and tomatoes didn't seem fresh. Onion rings, likewise, were not very good. They were soggy and underwhelming.
