About an hour and half later we cut the cake and noticed right away the creams on the cake were crambling like dry clay. Giving the benefit doubt I took a bite of my piece. Disappointed... 1) mini dark chocolate/walnut cranberry cookie: 1 star. I feel that the quality of the ingredients they use is very poor. 2) plain croissant: 3 stars. Decent. I used it to make a turkey/cheese croissant sandwich the next day. Kids say it's decent 3) guava cake: 3 stars 4) dome dark chocolate cake: 2 stars. I don't like the chocolate the use. 5) mini strawberry cheesecake: 3 stars. The bakery is very comparable to Sogo bakery but I'd actually prefer Sogo bakery if I had to choose. read more

Since they changed hands a few months ago, the pastries and drink offerings are truly delicious! One of my faves: the takoyaki pastry! I don't think there's actual octopus in it, but it's almost like a light and airy patechou donut filled with pork sung and a little tiny ball of mochi. On the top, is sweet Japanese mayo, teriyaki drizzle, and bonito flakes. It may sound weird as hell, but trust me. It's an interesting mixture that will make your mouth happy! read more

This review is solely based on their MACARONS. I got 10 macarons for $2 each. Spent $20 on those puppies. I got them for my wife and it was a surprise. Let's say I ended up being surprised as well. She took a bite of her first macaron and I heard a crunnnnnnch. She immediately said "the are hard as a rock". I said "f$ck, I spend $2 bucks each on those". I told her to try the rest, one by one she tried each one, and all but 1 was old and hard. At this point I was so upset, I had to post a review. I'm not a review type of guy so if you got a review from me, you must be doing something wrong. I'm sorry to the owners, selling old products in your shop and not caring for your customers. What a disgrace. You have accomplished making a customer disappointed, dissatisfied, and who now dislikes your business. Thanks but no thanks! read more

I highly recommend La Farfalle if you ever decide to customize a cake. The cakes baked here are super delicious and appealing. They pulled out these Lion king theme based cakes in 3 days which most of the bakeries, individual cake makers did not want to commit to at the last moment. The price of the cakes were VERY reasonable. All the guests from my party loved the cakes specially the fruit cream cake. I personally love the guava mousse, mango mousse and their boba tea's. read more

This is my first time buying desserts here. I came not too long ago to buy some bakery goods for my aunt and co-workers as a surprise gift for Lunar New Year. The interior design of this shop is adorable and the desserts look extremely divine. When I came in, they had already ran out of a few selections. I bought what I could and left. I was even tempted a few times to eat one of the custards because it looked so mouth-watering. I had to tell myself, "No. This is for other people, you fatty." It was a good experience. I received great feedback on how tasty the desserts were. Surprisingly, for the amount I purchased, I thought I would receive a free macaroon. There was even a sign outside about getting a free macaroon if you buy over a certain amount. Unfortunately, the cashier didn't bother to mention it while ringing me up and I was too lazy to go back inside from the car. I give this place a solid 4 stars. read more

I've had plenty of the milk tea now and today I'm bringing home their newest addition, shaved ice. This place is still a favorite when I'm on this side of town. I usually get the full house milk tea because it has the custard in there plus a bunch of stuff. But they have a decent choice for toppings and they're all good. Good Boba, I usually get the small Boba if not the full house / custard. I usually stick with the house milk tea because I tried a flavored one once, and I forget what flavor. The tea didn't taste like it very much, that I remember, so I've just gone with house milk tea most other times. They have these custard filled rolls with swirl on top. All their pastries that have creme or custard are superb. read more

My sister bought a cheese cake home from La Farfalla after she tried it in store, and IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!! I heard the full cheese cake was not yet officially available for selling yet (my sister persuaded them), I hope they sell it soon because I can't wait to get another one! It actually has two layers with a little different consistency, and there's raisins inside. Because of this, I think the cheese cake is less heavy and more dynamic in taste. It is Asian/Japanese style cheese cake, different from what you will have from Cheesecake Factory, and personally I prefer this lighter type. I am interested in trying their pastries, so next visit is in order! read more

My most favorite was the garlic cheese and hotdog. In addition, the macaroons were also delicious. I do not understand why the person before me would rate a one star review for them. We got the mango mousse cake for our anniversary. It was super delicious! The cake and mousse were light and the sweetness is very mellow. BUT we are Muslims and can't consume non halal animal based gelatin products. Unfortunately we found out AFTER eating the cake. But we will still give five stars for such a light and yummy cake. read more

Same quality as when they were known as Moos Cakes. Mango mousse, Guava mousse and Lychee mousse were all yummy!

Changed name recently to La Farfalla Bakery but still the same theme which is taiwanese western style bakery with sweet and savory pastries, macaroons at $1.85 each, custards, and cakes. The mango mousse cake was great. The cake was not dry which was a surprise since most birthday cakes are dry as heck. Mousse was super soft. I sampled a bit of everything because I was curious about the flavors--butterscotch milk tea, jasmine peach macaron, guava mousse cake, beef curry bread, pineapple and hot dog bread, and butter milk bread-- Guava mousse cake is fresh, light fluffy sweet heaven with a hint of tartness. Jasmine peach macaron is now tied with rose macaron for my favorite flavor of all time. Butterscotch milk tea has a trace butterscotch, slightly bittersweet. Friendly service and great guava cake. Lots of great cakes choices. Called in advance for cake and it was smooth to pick up and chef wrote words on cake super fast during pick up. And the breads are very soft and fresh. All in all, I love the tiramisu best there. So disappointed! I would like to put zero star if the system allows me to! I ordered a lychee mousse cake for my kid's birthday and ended up I'm not only had to pay over price for that ugly cake, it also taste awful! I kept the cake in the fridge the whole time but it could melted in a minute! That's the worst cake I ever had, it's looked like an awful melted cream cake when I pick up in the store, I asked the baker why it doesn't looks smooth on the edge and he said "oh, the lychee mousse is more difficult to make"! That's the stupidest excuses I ever heard, they make perfectly good for every other mousse cakes but lychee...please don't think everyone is like an idiot! And also it tastes like a melted cream cake more than a lychee mousse...no ones at the party was enjoying it! I feel so sorry for the guests and my birthday buddy even though they were tried to be nice not saying anything, but I can tell that no one wanted to finish that yucky cake! read more

La Farfalla makes really delicious mousse cakes. I've ordered large mousse cakes for birthdays and they're always a huge hit with guests. Highly recommend the guava mousse and mango mousse flavors. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I swing by this bakery to buy a few of their individual mousse cakes. Their pastries are also tasty, but they usually sell out by the time I'm there. I have to give credit to the quality of the cakes. However, their communication is SO bad. I ordered a birthday cake and when I went to pick up, the store was closed due to an emergency. I get that, but then I called the number they provided and the lady said she called me several days ago to notify me. Yes, I realized I got 2 missed calls but they could have left me a voice message or email me!! They got all my contact information. They just left me nowhere when the party will start in 30 minutes. Just not appropriate and this is not a good way to retain customers. I have been loyal customer to this bakery for years and it's sad that I will have one less choice in the future, but this went way too far. read more

We had been a big fan of tiramisu since our last visit to Italy, but the tiramisus that we had in the US doesn't taste the same as we had in Italy. Our family devoured the cake within 20 mins. We usually have leftovers for days to come with a small cake. NOT THIS TIME. It had the right amount of sweetness, and was not overwhelming.
