Delicious creme caramel - smooth and creamy with a touch of butter sweet from the carmalized sugar. Picked up some this afternoon. Perfect size in this cute little jar. I ordered a guava cake from La Farfalla for a baby shower and it was delicious! The cake wad fluffy and not too sweet. You can really taste the guava. As for the cream, I thought it was going to be really sweet, but it wasn't that sweet at all. I would come back and order another cake. read more

I came in and ordered a dozen sugar cookies with frosting for Valentine's Day. They made about 2 dozen with different designs since they made them for me I thought they might give me a couple extra or Evan 1 to try but not the case? They were over priced and when I got home after giving them to my wife I noticed they only gave me 10 cookies???? Total ripoff and the cookies where not as good as they looked! I really want to be a regular here because their cakes look awesome...but they really need to step up on their customer service! I ordered a cake for grandma's birthday online, and soon got a phone call to confirm order, I requested them to put some flowers on the cake, they said no problem, everything seemed fine there. But when I went to pick up the cake, they were just going to do the decorations on it, which is ok for me, I'm not in a rush. When they took the cake to the back, I heard one lady shout loudly, "just do whatever on the cake" in Chinese. I was very upset!! And then they did take out this no effort at all "decorations" I had to say something. "Hey, I thought you'll put flowers like the ones on your yelp picture." "Oh, those are special order, we can't do that on mousse cake." "OK, then how about some simple flowers that you can do with whip cream?" The lady just looked at me and did not even move or offer what they can do. Long story short, finally I had to say, I overheard you said just do whatever, and I'm not happy about that. Then she panicked and tried to offer to add roses in the corner. When other customers were coming in, most staffs were in the back, took them a while to come out, and mostly just what-can-I-get-for-you-and-pay kind of interaction.... I really hope this is a rare case. I get it, not everyone is good at business and chit chatting, but at least try to do a little more to help. Btw, the macaroon was only mediocre, tasted stale...but I guess I can't complain since it's free. But the pearls in the tea is bad! Please avoid that as a topping! read more

We stopped in purely by accident in search of lunch, peeked inside and couldn't resist to have a taste. The bakery products are fabulous both in taste and visual appeal. Compared to 85 Degree bakery, the pastries are higher quality and not as oily while maintaining their moistness. I tried several different baked pastries including the Custard Bun, the Taro Bun, Matcha Green Tea with Red Bean and Hokkaido Milk. All were a delicacy with subtle sweetness. The bakery displays are organized by category, pastries, cakes and cookies. They also sell milk teas, so I couldn't resist. I tried the Green Tea with Coconut Crema with Cream Cheese, which was also a treat. The staff here was great and very pleasant to interface with. My tea was a bit sweet, so I requested to have it diluted with tea, and without fret, she corrected it to my liking. Parking is also very easy, with its location in a plaza. I wish they had a couple of tables to dine at, but there's always the car or comfort of home. read more

Mousse cakes of every kind (you like Guava?); Swiss Rolls; Tiramisu; Macaroons; Breads; Russian Cookies; and Iced Matcha Green Tea that doesn't disappoint. It's a little bakery; but they put a lot of hard work into their baked goods. The only absurd short-coming are their flimsy, crackable take-home cookie boxes. I really want to support local businesses, and I love their cakes, but this bakery just doesn't seem to want my business. I was in before 1pm, which according to their website this was the cut off time to order cake for pick up the next day. They said they couldn't have cake ready by 12 noon. OhhhhKaaay, I guess I understand...if cake is ready in the afternoon that would still be considered next day. But which bakery wouldn't have cakes ready in the morning for customers to pick up before going to work? Maybe they should update their website and qualify better as to when ordered cakes would be ready. Disappointed but I pressed forward, moving on to my next request, and I'm ordering way in advance... A photo of a beautifully decorated cake with peaches--Asian/Chinese symbol for longevity when celebrating a birthday, especially for elderly folks--was posted on Yelp by a very happy customer. I inquired about ordering the same cake decoration and they flatly said they don't do that anymore...apologies and all, but here was strike two!! So sad, don't think I'll return to experience a strike three. read more

I have supported this bakery since the beginning of its opening. If I really have no choice I would go buy bread for my lunch the next day, but otherwise, I would not go. As they continue to expand their business, they get worse over time. Although they keep remodeling and changing their design, they lack in the variety of food. I will talk about my recent visit like a couple days ago. They try to hard for the interior design and name, but not the food they are selling. I ordered the cake 3 weeks ago and as usual, they ask for your info(ex. Name on the cake, customer's name, and so on). Ordered an 8" Lychee Mousse Cake. I didn't buy anything else because there were not many choices to choose from. They have a lot of cases, but there are only a few cases that are 1/4 way full of bread. Macarons are so tiny and costs 1.85? each. I browsed to the cake area and find that there are quite a few of sliced cake and roll cakes. After 3 weeks, its time to pick up my cake!! I walked in as usual. They have the heater on when it is pretty hot outside, but oh well because I am only here for the cake, not to work. The baker comes out with the cake. The cake looks horrible! The cake he presented was ugly. The sides were lined with a clear plastic wrap, but the cake looks like unattached and watery mousse on the sides. The little decorations are smudged. I clearly wrote the name on the cake, but the baker wrote only Happy Birthday. I immediately told him to write that name. He explained that he thought it was not supposed to be added. I was like, if its written on the sticky note, then that is what is supposed to be added on the cake. So frustrated. He then said that the cake price for the lychee mousse cake is $29. I mean this ugly cake for 29 bucks?! The bakery explained that oh the lychee cake is supposed to be more watery and difficult. I mean WTH, from what i believe, the cake is made from gelatin and artificial flavors. PLEASE dont give me any stupid excuses. We have no choice, but to purchase that cake. SUMMARY: LOOKS UGLY, EXPENSIVE(for that design of the cake), NO EFFORT AHHH ITS A BDAY CAKE AND YOU CANT MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO PRESENT THIS CAKE? Time to cut the BEAUTIFUL(not) cake! YAAaaah....Cant even put candles in. The candles would just fall over because the mousse is not strong enough to even support candles. After taking out the surrounding plastic wrap around the cake, the cake looks like it is about to fall apart. It was hard to cut the cake because it couldn't support itself... very watery. Devour time! The cake is very dry and their are not much moist to it. Can taste the egg in the cake though. The mousse is very watery. Barely any gelatin in it to have that mousse texture. Not coming back because they don't actually have a lot of bread, small macarons, not many interesting cakes, and effortless cakes. I warn those who wants to purchase a cake. read more

I've actually never been to this location but I really wanted to write a review. My friend catered cake for her wedding from La Farfalla: green tea mousse, guava mousse, and tiramisu. I'll have to say that this has been THE best wedding cake I've ever had. The cake portion is moist, soft, amazingly fluffty. The mouse is flavorful; none of that "hints of" green tea or guava taste. Both aren't too sweet (which makes it dangerous because I literally ate like 6 slices at the wedding). For too long have I had sugar loaded American cakes. Keeping notes to come to the actual location in the future! read more

I was so happy to find this bakery! I wanted to get a guava mousse cake for a celebration at work, so I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered it ahead of time, and it was ready when I wanted it. The cake looked amazing, smelled amazing and was so yummy! It was so very very light and delicately flavored. EVERYONE went back for seconds. What I thought was a huge cake was almost gone! Everyone agreed it may have been the best birthday cake anyone had brought in for a long time. Looking forward to another celebration! read more

I was so excited to see that a new bakery was opening up where Moo's Cakes was because quite frankly, Moo's went downhill. Moo's macarons tasted like they used artificial flavors, not real fruit or vanilla. I went in and their displays were appealing. I ordered several macarons. While standing at the register I noticed that the pictures of the various cakes they baked looked exactly like the cakes Moo's baked. Come to find out, their baker is the same! So I guess only the name changed, not the baker. Ugh! That means that if I order a cake then I can only order the type of cake he is willing to bake!! When I sat in my car I ate the macarons. Very very disappointing. I actually just took a little bite of each and threw the rest away. They still taste like artificial flavoring was used. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

No doubt the quality is superb... in this area. The pastries are all on the light side and they are good though. Not enough workers Friday afternoon, long line, one lady.... They also have oriental special drink which I did not try. They look good though. I am not a fan since I know where else I could get better pastries. But if you are in this area and traffic is jam all over, what choice do you get? Enjoy! read more

Had the tiramisu and boy was it delicious. I never had such a good fresh slice of tiramisu. The cream was the highlight but the sponge cake lady fingers was very light and soft and complimented the cream and choco powder very well. In fact all layers of the cake came together very well. I am impressed. Going back to the cream - it was light and fragrant and didn't make the cake too sweet. It was perfect. I've eaten a lot of tiramisu before but this takes the cake (pun intended)! :) I also tried the hokkaido milk bread. The owner said it was his favorite and I can totally understand why! I let my parents try it too and they said that it is better than 85 degrees' bread! I agree too. Have yet to try more but I can't wait. Have to get there early though because they sell out their items before the day even ends! read more

Food: 5 stars. Very fresh and yummy baked goods and better yet not too sweet. Love both their large cakes and the smaller items. Definitely coming back for more treats. Service: 4 stars. There was a looooooong waiting time both on the phone and at the cashier because the busy bakery is terribly understaffed. The poor lady behind the counter was answering phone calls, taking in-store orders, making drink orders and working as a cashier all at the same time in the 20 minutes I was there waiting in line to be served. read more

I am glad that the old bakers from Moos Cakes are still there coz their cakes and macarons were so good. The store looks really different now. It looks much better and they have quite a variety of pastries. Their macaron is a little smaller but I heard that this is the legit size of real french macaron. And they taste good, that's all that matters. Oh, and now they offer to put the macaron in a gift box which is nice. I was also trying to order a cake and being told that now they can also do the fancy type of decoration. The owner(who is also a baker herself) showed me some photos of the cakes she made(gonna post them here later). They look fabulous. I mean, the cakes has always been good but they don't do customized cakes. decorations were just fruits. So it's good to know that they try to improve that. I am definitely going to get some customized cakes from them next time I have a party. All in all, it's a nice place for treats. heard people comparing it with another bakery called 85C. but hey, why not supporting the local businesses? read more

My brother really wanted a guava cake for his birthday so I did some research and came across this bakery and we don't regret it at all! The cake was delicious! It was a vanilla cake with guava mousse it wasn't too sweet which is a awesome! An 8" cost about $26 they also had a bunch of other flavors! Gonna try the lychee one next. They also had pastries and macaroons, there was a wide variety of pastries which I will probably try next time. The macaroons however aren't worth it, probably a little bigger than a quarter for $1.75. read more

We had a birthday cake from here. Usually, I decline on cake. Too heavy. Too sweet. But when I took a gander at the beautiful strawberry mousse cake, I was definitely curious if it tasted as good as it looks. It did not disappoint. Because the cake was in the fridge, the mousse was almost ice cream consistency. Nobody's complaining. It was an extra warm day. The bottom layer was fluffy cake. Menu today is 5/5. Another thing about their shiopan is they perfected their own techniques of creating a baguette substitute and saviry bread vessel. Big pieces of chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce. There may have been some vegetables in it but I was driving and it was unsafe to inspect my pie closely. The caramel apple hand pie was good. Because I'm not an apple pie fan I appreciated that the apples were sliced thinly, not chunky, and I loved the addition of the sanding sugar on top. I ordered the apricot frangipane (AF) for two reasons: it was double-crusted and it didn't have whipped cream on top. I wasn't totally on board with frangipane since my experience with it in boxed chocolates was "meh." Plus they seem to love it on the Great British Bake-Off and it always looks so unappealing. But paired with the tartness of the apricots and a crust that reminded me of shortbread, I think the AF was my favorite, though I haven't tried the blueberry lemon yet. Simple no frills bakery. This place is situated in a small plaza and is fairly close to where I live so I frequent it a lot to buy pastries for home. They have a good selection of baked goods, cakes, and macarons! The price is a little high for some of their cakes, but I have always been pleased with the taste! I particularly like their roll cakes, because it's never too sweet and had a nice texture and flavor. read more

It's sad to see so many small businesses close down due to our politicians's lack of ability to put people before politics. I reached out to Khushboo after seeing her post on Facebook on Tuesday, November 17th, via messenger and she responded very quickly. The item that caught my attention were her cute hot chocolate bombs so I asked to pick some up from her on Thursday, November 19th, in time for my nieces to spend the weekend with us. My 4-year old daughter loves all things chocolate and I don't mind enjoying a cup of hot chocolate every now and then so I decided to order a 4-pack for us to try. I got the "unicorn" for my daughter since she really likes unicorn. Sadly, my daughter prefers milk chocolate over white chocolate so I ended up having to help her finish it. It was a little too much milk for my liking, but I liked the fact that it wasn't overly sweet. I got the "Tea Me Up" for myself since I do enjoy a nice cup of chai latte & it was perfect for the cold weather. Although, I must warn you that it is a little bit spicy. I got the "Chocolala" for my 11-year old niece because she likes all her food/drink to be as plain and simple as possible and this fit her taste perfectly. I got the "Guess Who's Salty" for my 15-year old niece because she loves salted caramel flavor desserts. Sadly, I received a text from her dad that she ended up in the ER for juvenile diabetes type 1--so, she never got to try it & I decided to give it to my 11-year old niece instead. The chocolate bombs are super cute and such a fun idea. They would definitely make a great stocking stuffer. Although, they're a little pricey for everyday consumption so I wouldn't recommend drinking one daily. I asked to have tiny vegan marshmallows added for $0.50/each. Very nice touch! I first contacted Nicolen over a month prior to my good friends baby shower. The cake I ordered was the center of the dessert table and I was excited when I found the perfect Starwars cake. Nicolen agreed she could make the cake. To make it easier I said just characters heads and to make it blue instead of pink since it was for a boy. Lastly, I paid extra for the R2D2 head. I knew something was wrong when I had to to touch-base and remind her about the cake. Nicolen reassured me that the cake would be ready and asked if she could drop it off early the day of the party. My friend who was pregnant at the time was up early to receive the cake which never came that morning. Because the party had already started I got nervous about the cake. Nicolen's lack of communication and delay of the cake was not that way I pictured her customer service to be. The cake arrived late and delivered by her sister who would not even look at me. When the cake arrived I couldn't believe it! I paid over $100 for this? The cake came lope sided and about to fall over. The characters I requested to be made out of fondant were PRINTED! YES PRINTED out of white computer paper and placed on the cake!!! Nicolen later texted me she was busy with Mother's Day orders. If you were busy please be transparent to your customers. I could of easily cancelled and took my business else where. This was my friends FIRST baby shower and I wanted a beautiful cake. It seems harder and harder to get a good birthday cake for our daughter. After going to numerous parties and trying a variety of cakes, grocery store cakes were out of the question. So, last year we went to a local baker and they did a good job on our cake but, it was still too sweat and a bit underwhelming. This year, for my daughters 2nd birthday, we wanted to find an independent baker who could create a cake that matched the theme of our daughters party and that was creative and different. Many bakeries just have a list of cake designs that they do and I feel they often lack originality and can come off almost manufactured. Here comes Insatiable Desserts. We wanted a bit of a wow factor and we were able to show her some pictures of cakes we found online that we liked that matched out theme. She provided some suggestions on the outside design of the cake and the inside of the cake. The overall cake came out better than we had thought and our guests couldn't stop talking about. Now onto the taste. One of my biggest complaints with standard cakes is how sweat the frosting is and how the cake portion lacks flavor. Our cake was moist and wasn't over sweat and had lots of flavor. The frosting was a delicious buttercream and she managed to create a fondant (That my husband and I normally hate due to bad taste) that was absolutely delicious. It was really really good. She also created some Mickey Mouse shaped cookies for us in the these of Mickey, Minnie and Donald. They were shortbread cooking decorating in a delicious frosting and there was a hint of lemon in some and orange in other. We had people grabbing extras to take home.
