Absolutely fantastic! I had the brisket tacos with sweet corn bread and cilantro rice. The tacos were full of flavor and very filling (or that may have been from the chips they kept us fully stocked with). The cornbread is an absolute can't miss. If you don't get it you'll kick yourself. I'm ruined on cornbread forever because nothing will compare to what I had here. Topped it off with a great strawberry margarita, wasn't brave enough for the purple margarita but my companions spoke highly of it. Definitely put this place on your "must try" list! read more

Mediocre service, with decent food. The staff has been overly rude in the past, which is why I've steered clear. The pricing is appropriate for what you get. Avoid going with large groups on busy nights, for that's when things start going downhill. read more

If you are looking for a great place to unwind with friends after work this is your place. The food is ok we mainly go just for the margaritas which are the best in town. If you are going on the weekend be prepared to wait, wait, and wait. Chili's Waco have change dramatically in the worst way. Is sad how this franchise in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis is losing their North. Everything was very Greasy even the shredded cheese. All of our stomachs hurt we had to quit eating. Quasidillas had A LOT of cheese. Everything was very plain the salsa, rice, guacamole and pico. Food was very good. But.......... Strike 1 - guacamole came after main course Strike 2 - They brought Appetizers and Main course out at the same time Strike 3 - 2 tiny corn tortillas with my dish, and got charged extra when I asked for more. Also had to ask for Sour Cream which was supposed to came with it. Server was new and in Training I guess. Also on the Expensive side! Not sure I would recommend. read more

We used La Fiesta catering for both our rehearsal dinner (at the Fiesta House by the restaurant) and for our wedding reception. I could go on and on describing how much I loved working with Lynsey, Anita, and their teams while going through the wedding planning process. While we had a typical TexMex spread at the rehearsal dinner (the queso, enchiladas, and margs are to die for), we served a traditional Texas barbecue at our wedding reception. When my parents first told me that La Fiesta Catering served barbecue, I was a little hesitant (I only knew them as a Mexican food restaurant). But their catering side cooks everything you can think of, and it is AMAZING. Literally everything they cook is unbelievable (especially the brisket, mango chicken skewers, and the corn cake). I don't know what we would have done without Lynsey there on our wedding day. She made the reception go without a single hiccup. Her team literally does it all. From serving, to bartending, to cake cutting, to setting up, to taking down, to cleaning. They really are a one stop shop, and I am SO thankful we used them. We were in town visiting for the weekend & a local resident recommended la fiesta, so we took her word about how good the food was & went for dinner. Everything was.. subpar. We ordered guacamole which ended up being just a mushed up over-ripened avocado with one onion mixed in. The tamale appetizer were surprisingly good, but our entrees were nothing special. My boyfriend ordered sangria & it arrived with tequila in it & salt on the rim. We noticed on the menu there was a drink that had sangria & tequila mixed together, but it had a special name & was not what he ordered which was simply sangria. read more

So.. we got the reviews and went for it. I was hopeful due to the reviews for great Margaritas and food. We ordered a Margarita and it had a hair on the side of the glass. The waiter literally asked me if the hair was on the side or in the actual drink.... "wait what?". A hair that is not mine.. does it matter where it is? Fix it. He fixed the drink and then got on his knees to check for another hair and said "I think we are all good". Our salads came and all was good. UNTIL... I took a bite and there it was.. a black hair. Oh my.. seriously? I talked to the waiter and he assured me he would take it off the bill... the bill he had already given me before I was finished eating. He took it to The manager and took it off the bill. Do you know who never came to talk to me? THE MANAGER! I am completely shocked at the incompetence of the management and the absolute lack of training of the staff. Shame on you. read more

Friend where always raving about LaFiesta...so last night we finally gave them a try. Turns out we have been really missing out... Our server Anna was Amazing! Upon hearing this was our first time to La Fiesta...she spent a few extra minutes telling us the hidden treasures, house specialtys, and some of her personal favs! Anna 's recommendations were spot on! The food and service were wonderful! As if that wasn't good enough... There is live music Thursday through Saturday... My only regret was the hostess didn't tell us about the live music so we might have sat on the patio for a birds eye view, as it was a beautiful October Saturday night. Our server, Andrew, was at our table just minutes after we were seated. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help me find something to eat even though I am allergic to onions. However it came after I was half way through my food (supposed to be an appetizer). This is the reason for the three rating. Good but staff overwhelmed. Took about 10 minutes to get 4 margaritas made as we waited at bar for a table of 6. Drinks were great (better be for $ 9.95/drink). Nobody told us there were different sizes (in town for Christmas only). Relative from Waco got wrong dish but knew it because had ordered it before. Restaurant gave us that meal free, but if you get the Yelp deal, $ 75 for $ 50, be prepared to wait for them to figure out the actual bill.
