Beef taco, cheese enchilada, rice, beans
Craig Z.

I've stopped in twice over the last couple of months. The service has been excellent, the food has been tasty, and the prices aren't bad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I haven't seen the place too busy, so I hope they can grab enough traffic for the location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time here and it was very fresh, great quality food and they have frosty glasses for your drink. Definitely going to be one of our regular spots.

Machaca burro enchilada style with green sauce. Very good!
Sylvia C.

I really enjoyed the machaca burro enchilada style with green sauce. It was very good and flavorful! However, it does not come with rice and beans, and I thought $4.50 for a side was a bit much! The fundido sauce was not good at all. It was grainy and not very appealing. The chips and salsa were so-so. The chips were hot but very very thin. It just like they were a bit too thin. The salsa was lackluster. It tasted like they use canned tomatoes? It also needed a little more heat. Over all, just okay! Nothing to really write home about. I've had better so I doubt I will return.

CHEESE CRISP
Karen B.

We ordered from Door Dash on Friday evening. It's not the restaurant's fault, but Door Dash isn't very descriptive and doesn't allow for many changes. For example, my son order a steak quesadilla. He didn't want anything except steak and cheese. The menu mentioned pico but didn't say if it was on the side or on the quesadilla. He still ate it. I'm surprised. He's so picky and will usually give his food to me if it has toppings. We both enjoyed the cheese crisp. I think we are from it, at least, three times. I saved the enchiladas for the next day. I thought they were fabulous. I'd definitely visit or order from this establishment, again.

Beef tacos with double order beans.

Decided to try this as a new option. Small quaint place. Lots of menu choices. Waitress was very helpful with explaining menu options. Service was quick freindly and good. Food came out quick. Very good beef tacos, cheese enchiladas, and tostada. Wasnt real busy at 5:30 on a Sat. By the time we left it got pretty busy. If you like alcohol, they have several of their own recipes. Will be back again.

Chunky salsa
Cory P.

Family owned which I love but watch your receipt. Extra chips and salsa are cost and the food prices are as high as mexican restaurants who don't charge for chip refills. Walking into the restaurant is walking into a Mexican restaurant like you'd think. Music and ambiance is fun. Owner is very cordial. Salsa is chunky with a little heat. Chips are fresh and non greasy. Mexican pizza was $15 - it looked like I could've made it at home but meat portion was good. Chicken burrito- Good portion of meat but little cheese and again I could make it at home. (Convenience is a yes and no clean up is always very appealing. True. Machaca plate $17 - great dish. Meat portion was big. $4.50 for sides is steep especially with extra chip baskets being $2.50 a hit. 4 stars for the experience but 3 stars in the grand scheme because their competitors are 4 stars and we will choose them before coming here -Although the food was good and the owner was nice.

The service however, has been a miss all three times we've been in. The location is large so maybe they just need to add to their team and do a little additional customer care training with everyone. We came in Saturday afternoon to a small lobby area where a gal was already waiting to be sat and when the third group walked in that lobby got even smaller. We waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess who came off cold and unbothered in leaving customers waiting as the other team members took notice of the filling lobby with no one checking in to let us know we'd be assisted soon. The hostess proceeded to tell us she'd be seating us outside, no offer of sitting inside at all and not once did she acknowledge her absence or offer any sort of greeting, not even a smile. When you're the first person the customer interacts with at business I feel it good practice to create a welcoming atmosphere that represents the space you're entering. Especially a place like this that is known for a fun, lively atmosphere. We were sat outside and our waitress was very sweet and got us taken care of with water, food, and drinks pretty quickly. It was a lot cooler than expected on the patio which was awesome, as I was worried about sitting outside when it was 104. Great job with that Mexicano! But once we got our food our waitress stopped by to check in once and we didn't really see her until the end of our meal after that. No refills on water or check-in to see if we wanted additional drinks (which I feel like happened the last time we were in as well). There's a gentleman with a tiger tattoo on the back of his neck who stops in at some people's tables to check in and have chat, he's never stopped in with us.. it all just seems like the customer isn't a priority at this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are great but for the prices, I want to feel more valued. I want to have that fun experience of going out for drinks in a vibrant high-end cantina where you feel connected with the staff. We'll go back but I would really love to see a more engaged customer support team.

The nachos ended up being the star of the night. They were loaded, flavorful, and very satisfying. There was plenty of food and they were more than enough for both of us to share. My husband ordered the burrito and finished it pretty quickly because it was on the smaller side. After that we both ended up just sharing the nachos and we were completely full. Since this was a delivery order I cannot speak to the dine in atmosphere or service, but the food was packaged really well and everything arrived intact and still fresh. Nothing was soggy and the portions held up well for delivery, which I always appreciate. The nachos were definitely the highlight and something I would absolutely order again. Next time I would actually love to stop in during the day and try it in person so we can explore more of the menu.

It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.

When we told the server about it, there was no apology - he actually said that is how they make it?!?!? Let me get this straight, you put choking hazard sized bones in your tacos and don't tell anyone to watch out for them? I've included pics and video so you can see what I am talking about. Tacos are my favorite food on the planet and I've had birria tacos at many, many places (including Mexico) and have never encountered multiple bones in any kind of taco for that matter. Unfortunately their carnitas tacos are dry and flavorless. The Super Taco is still pretty good (no bones), but this and our recent experiences here are making us cross this place off of our rotation going forward. My wife can be pretty particular when it comes to carne asada, so she was a little hesitant when I suggested we share it. After a few bites, she couldn't get enough! The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and clearly high quality, and the burrito itself was packed with great ingredients and balanced flavors. The added guacamole was the perfect finishing touch. As much as we loved the burrito, Espo's has become a go-to spot for our family because of their Taco Tuesday special. Their 10-taco plate for around $12 is an incredible value, especially for families. We love that you can mix and match between carne asada, carnitas, ground beef, chicken, and shredded beef, making it easy to get something everyone will enjoy.
