Hubby & I had dinner here tonight. I really wanted to like this place! Unfortunately, it was the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten. We got there a little before 5:00, & were seated right away. Our sever was at our table in minutes. Drinks & food came out quickly. Hubby ordered his normal beer & I ordered Sangria. Both were good, but there was very little alcohol in the Sangria. The glass is small & tons of ice. Hubby ordered the supreme burrito plate with grilled chicken, enchilada style with all three sauces. It came with rice & beans. I ordered the chicken fajitas without peppers. The chips weren't very good. They were thin & not like most Mexican restaurants chips. The mild salsa was okay. The spicy salsa was not spicy & had zero flavor according to Hubby. Hubby did not like his food. He didn't even finish his food, & he always eats everything on this plate. The burrito was double wrapped and for no reason. There was barely any filling in it at all. My fajitas were not good. I didn't even bring him the leftovers. They were sizzling when they came out. The only flavor was from the onions. The rice had no flavor, nor did the beans. What they call guacamole looked like avocados & water were blended together. My wife and I have been to Rosita's many times over the years since moving to the area. Always a great place to take guests. Great meal at Rositas! We hadn't been here in probably 7 or 8 years. We thought we would stop in since we had some errands on this side of town. As great as we remember. Isabel G. was our waitress and she was awesome. Attentive, personable and helpful. We had three cheese enchiladas and a combo plate of 2 Green Corn Tamales with Fideo and Black Beans. Not many places offer Fideo as a side so we always love to get it when we can. A blast from my childhood. This review is for a take-out order of just condiments to supplement Carne Asada we had grilled at home. The young lady answering the phone (Bree) was very helpful and pleasant, delightful in fact. The small order of chips, Salsa, refried beans, rice and guacamole was ready when we arrived and nicely packaged. Everything tasted great, with one exception! Chips were perfect, the chunky salsa as well. Same for the rice and refried beans. The only thing we wouldn't get again was the guacamole. Regardless the ingredients, the guacamole was basically purée: whipped to within an inch of its short, green life. While the refried beans had also spent some up close and personal time with a stick blender, it wasn't nearly as severe as the guacamole. Still, a solid 4+ stars for everything else! read more

This restaurant probably has the best loyalty program I've ever been apart of. The food is good and I love that I can get menudo during the week and not just the weekends like most Mexican restaurants. They are executing the Covid precautions very well, however, I wonder how much fresh air circulation the dining room can get with no windows and small seating area. Service was excellent. The food was okay. Carne asada had a nice flavor but was exceptionally chewy in my flaco tacos. The hot salsa was really good. The regular salsa was just okay. The 3-year old was eating it. Stopped by for pozole on a weekday after looking at the Christmas lights with friends - we were there at like 8:15 and apparently they close at 9pm - not 10pm as is listed here. It did not appear the host was happy to see us haha so I asked if we were ok on time - they said they didn't see why not HAHA and took us to a seat. We all ordered the same thing (three bowls of pozole) and found the service was swift and attentive once we were in. They serve the soup in shallow rimmed bowls so the crew struggled not to spill while bringing them out. They serve the pozole add ins on the side instead of all together which was a nice touch and the chips and salsa were good and fresh. The food was fairly good (though cold by the time I got it home 10 minutes later), but as you can see from the pics, they messed up my meal. I selected black and refried beans for my sides. I got black beans and rice. I asked for utensils, limes, and extra salsa please. I was 0 for 3 on that. I was given no utensils, no limes and NO SALSA, let alone extra. To give someone their Mexican food "pick up" order without ANY salsa is a travesty. That said, I will say, the hostess lady was very friendly. I used to come here often because their food was so delicious. I used to order the Albondiga (meatball) soup often as well with a flour tortilla. It's been years since I've eaten at Rosita's. Today I had a hankering for the Albondiga soup and stopped by for an order to go along with a tortilla, which costed extra, and I didn't mind. When I got home and dug in, I found they gave me corn tortillas, and they were not tasty. They didn't ask if I wanted flour or corn, and I guess that's not their job and is mine to ensure I get what I want. Unexpectedly, the soup was bland, the meatballs were tough and tasteless. It came with chips and salsa, which was not that good either. But I feel that I've been to many restaurants who no loner have the passion to make good food, but they'll take your money and expect to be tipped. read more

As we downloaded the supposed coupon, we went ahead and ordered $32 with the food so we could get the discount. The manager came to the table and said we didn't have a coupon even though the waiter had downloaded it for us. It was really disappointing to think that the business would operate such a scam. Literally the worst chicken mole I've ever had. It was like they took unseasoned shredded chicken and poured a mixture of ketchup and steak sauce over it. Nice family friendly place that seems like it been around forever. We did have quick friendly service. I have no quarrel with the chips and salsa or the drinks. However our entrees were both a little sad. I ordered the carnitas Street Tacos. Four good sized tacos, with onions and cilantro. The meat was tasty, but very very dry. My bf ordered the Sonoran enchiladas, which is a deep friend corn masa and cheese patty smothered in enchilada sauce. I guess that is accurate, but he didn't care for it.
