The drinks taste incredibly fresh, like real fruit, perfectly balanced sweetness, and ice cold refreshments that hits the spot. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and made the traditional way with no powders or syrup. The service was just as impressive, the staff were warm, friendly, and patient while I decided which flavor to try. Honestly there were so many good options but I ended up going with the cucumber and watermelon, so good. If you're visiting the market, don't miss this spot! Agua Frescas freshly made every day with some unique takes on the standards (really loved their cucumber based summer mint and pineapple version). Smoothies made to order (this isn't Jamba Juice so you can customize style to whatever you want - less sweet, no apple, add a carrot, blend an avocado in - whatever. The hours close at 6pm, which was a 12-hour shift for the staffer who had been there since early am and still needed to close when over a dozen people came late at 7pm looking for fruit treats. It's higher prices than a street cart because that's one thing GCM keeps doing is raising its stall rental rates. People are paying for the convenience of connected parking and lots of snazzy new restaurants and bars to hang. Despite that, this little place is still a favorite family-like place and stays open later than the one on the very corner. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and can point you in the direction of the fruit thing you want at the time. Service is pretty quick and you can gauge the wait time by the size of the wait queue to the right of the register. I came late at the end of the shift and noticed her displays were looking a bit tired. But she assured me that wasn't what I was getting and made mine fresh to order. Quality counts. read more

The juice was good, but their attitude sucks. The fact that they won't let you taste a sample of the drink that you're about to buy, cause you don't know if you're gonna like it or not and they won't let you mix two drinks is ridiculous since they're all the same price. They also hav cups full with ice just to make sure they don't give you that much juice and literally have no customer service! read more

I asked if I could mix two flavors and the cashier immediately said she couldn't and when I asked if the prices was different for each or the same (so I could pay the difference) she looked down at the cashier and said "NO". With a freaking attitude. I shouldn't have purchased anything at that point, but I was with a friend and didn't want to make it a big deal but they seriously need to work on their customer service skills. Also I asked for light ice and the woman serving the drink had the whole cup filled with ice ! So I literally had to yell in Spanish for her to take out some of it because she was just gonna start filling the cup even though I had specifically said LIGHT ICE. Only reason they get three stars is because the mango agua fresca was pretty decent and not overly sweet. read more

Found another good place in Grand Central Market for healthy fruits. It looks pretty lonely compared to the busy lines at Eggslut so go get something from here. La Fruteria has authentic Mexican fruits and spices. Even combine both. The spiciness and the sweetness make a mouth party. All the stuff is fresh. It's lots of fruit with the options of seasonings to describe it pretty much. There's lots of different combinations to get with the authentic spiciness. It's about $9 for a big bowl of Rebanadas, which is basically chopped fruit. This one is tossed in a spicy sauce made with lime juice and Tapatio. Kind of expensive just for fruit. The only bad thing you can say about it to be honest. Certainly it's one of the healthiest places in the market of course. It's good for those looking for something natural or even organic. The prices are kind of high, which is about the only bad thing. read more

This place is a must-stop for me and my boyfriend when we go on our weekly walk. It's a juice or agua fresca shop located inside the Grand Central Market, close to Egg Slut and next to what used to be Clark Street. We love getting agua frescas here. It's so refreshing and there are many to choose from. We always get Sandia (Watermelon) and Mamey. I have also tried pineapple, orchata, and a kale and pineapple blend. It always hits the spot and leaves us highly satisfied. Not to mention, there aren't that many places to get decent agua fresca nearby, so it's convenient. But the girls working here are really rude. They have such a bad attitude, and it always shows. Once we ordered watermelon, she told me it was not ready, and the other girl told her it was ready in Spanish. When I asked her if I could order watermelon, she did not say anything and just gave me watermelon with an attitude. Another time, she told me she wasn't open yet and immediately served another customer behind me. It really pisses me off, but the drink is why we come back. On the other hand, guys working seem to be a lot more nicer than girls. They also do not take Samsung or Apple Pay, so you have to have a physical card or cash for the payment. read more

The orange juice was watered down as hell When I tried to let them know nicely, the man he was working. There was very dismissive, telling me no it was impossible, that it was specially, made, even though I had seen it sitting in the refrigerator for quite a while. I told them that he could try it and to please remake it, and he kept telling me. What do you want me to do about it, shaking his head, and being very dismissive. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and it was great to sample offerings from multiple restaurants all in one place. I ended up being drawn to the fresh fruit and pressed juices from La Fruiteria -- they all looked so fresh and delicious. The service was quick, but the employee seemed a little short mannered and not happy to be there. Regardless, I got my food fast. I went for a fruit salad made of mango, watermelon, and spices. Arriving at Grand Central Market on a hot weekend morning, I saw that La Fruteria had a huge line. They offer aqua frescas and fruit in a cup ($10). I returned after lunch and there was no line at all so I went with an aqua fresca. Watermelon Aqua Fresca ($5) - Wow, this was super refreshing on a hot summer day. It wasn't watered down like some of the other places out there. You could definitely tell their was a high concentration of watermelon juice and a little bit of pulp. Overall, this isn't a bad place to go if you are looking for something to cool you off. Pricing is on the higher side considering what you are getting. But apparently this is the current market rate in Los Angeles. read more

I got the pina agua fresca while my friend got the watermelon. Both were good, both great. Definitely was watered down. Pay cash or a 1$ fee will be charged to use your card, not a complaint just offering advice if you wanna get upset about that. read more

Word of advice if you get their gazpacho ask for easy seasoning - they mince their fruit then crazy over season like 4 tablespoons in a 16 oz cup - you can't taste any fruit - just salt, and sour. It was so salty we couldn't eat it - wasted $12 :( read more

Juice place on one side of grand central market. You can't really tell which types of juices and etc they sell by the menu, so you need to ask what flavors they have. Ordered a melon agua fresca for $7, which was kind of pricy for what it ended up being. The drink itself was bland, and it kind of just tasted like a diluted version of what it should've been. read more

La Fruteria is located inside the Grand Central Market. They have agua frescas (which is like fruit waters) and fruit bowls! My friend and I both decided to get an agua fresca since it was really stuffy inside the Grand Central Market the day we went. I decided to get a guava mixed fruit while my friend went for their watermelon agua fresca. Their agua frescas were pretty good. You can definitely tell that it's natural with no added sugar. I really do enjoyed that. It was very refreshing! The only issue was that they didn't have a menu that you could see. You would have to ask what they had available. They also don't have prices listed so you'll have to ask or choose the "surprise me" option. Granted, their drinks weren't pricey at all...I think they were around $4-5 each. read more

La Fruteria is located in the Grand Central Market food court. It is located by the front entrance with a bright neon fruits sign, so it is not easily missed. It is street parking or you can park at the parking lots nearby. There was only one lady working the day I went, but she was pretty efficient for handling a crowd by herself. It was a bit pricey (I think about $10), but overall it was good. I was craving watermelon, so I bought a cup of it as my snack after lunch. The chunks were cut nicely in bite-sized squares/rectangles. The watermelon was juicy and sweet as well! read more

If you want a refreshing drink and your willing to pay $6 then this isn't a bad option - honestly the price isn't bad in comparison to the rest of the market and the other juice store next door. But everything is literally just blended juice so it does have the pulp in the drinks as well as chia seeds. Service is super fast and you can mix drinks! I would say you definitely pay for the convenience here and on a hot summer day this is great to have. The juice is fresh and fruit is blended on the spot. read more

This place is a huge disappointment, for a place that only sells fruit and aqua frescas I would assume it would have great quality ingredients. Unlike street fruit vendors they precut all their fruit, almost none of the fruit was ripe, crispy mango and pineapple with no flavor. The watermelon Aqua Fresca was very bland and this place is pretty expensive compared to street vendors (I'm fine with paying more i understand GC is probably expensive to rent in) but I would expect the fruit to be at the very least ripe considering it's the middle of summer. They also don't include classic ingredients like cucumber jicama, orange slices, or coconut. My partner and I ordered the same thing and each of us had completely different fruits in our bowls. read more

This place was incredible! My wife and I both got fresh juices and we split a bowl. The bowls are large and full of fresh fruit and ingredients. The line was quick and everyone was very kind and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend trying this out in the market. read more

La Fruteria is where you can get your fresh fruit fix in Grand Central Market. It's a super colorful shop located along the wall near Lucky Bird. The menu is fun and colorful and not too hard to choose from. They have fruit salads and bowls and a lot of different type of fruit drinks. Unfortunately, the prices aren't listed so you either have to ask or just hope for the best. The display case at the front of the stall had some examples of the items on the menu, so I was able to figure out what I wanted from there. I ended up getting the Bionico fruit salad, which was $12. It was like a yogurt parfait but with a hefty amount of fruits ranging amongst mangos, strawberries, cantaloupes, and grapes to pineapples. There was much more in the bowl including delicious yogurt, raisins, sliced almonds, and granola. The texture was great! I couldn't finish the bowl for lunch and it was still decent the next day after spending a night in the fridge. All in all, I had a good experience with La Fruteria. I'd come back for a refreshing treat. read more

Customer service needs to improve a lot . This type of business needs people that they can take good care of customers . I buy myself a Biónico and I wanted to make it fresh not the one from the display and I ask the lady's and their response was that the one that they were giving me was fresh. The point is that the way their response to that was Short and rude . I work in customer service all my life and I know that this place needs a better staff . read more

Extraordinarily tasty fruit dishes! We had the gazpacho, which was a wonderful medley of fruits like pineapples with veggies like onions, cucumbers in a very tangy and flavorful blend. Reminds me of "fruit chaat" a street side dish prepared in India. I would definitely make a trip to Grand central market for this. read more

I've been to this place a couple of times and the aguas frescas are always on point. They are not full of ice, or too sugary. Like Goldilocks they are just right! The service was good and the lady at the front was nice. It's definitely a first choice if you are not trying to drink. One feedback would be to have bigger cups because we finished those water too quickly. So good! read more

I have been to this place a few times. This review is also based upon my other visits. The smoothie options are based upon you ordering what you would like so if you are not too sure what goes well with what, this place might not be for you. From all the different options I had here, this has been the item with the most taste but the fruit is hit or miss. Today for example, the pineapple has great flavor but the strawberries are lacking. Will I come back, yes because it's one of the more healthier places to eat at the food court. read more

So it would be nice if there was a bit more flexibility in the drink options. I would like to come back and try one of their drinks that don't include matcha next time because the drinks are definitely of high quality and flavor!
