I love this restaurant! We used to eat here all the time when I was a kid. And thank goodness it is just as good as I remember! The staff is super friendly as usual. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was sooo delicious, tender shredded chicken and sooo cheesy. Perfection! My husband got the chile relleno and ground beef burrito combo. He loved it. My kids ordered the Nachos La Fuente and the Burrito De Asada, both really good. The portions here are huge! This restaurant is huge part of my childhood and I will always eat here when I'm in town!

Beef Burrito 2-19-26

Food was authentic Mexican cuisine Service was good and the Place has been in Renton Over 25+ Years

Supper beef burrito

Lunch with very good price. Meal is huge. This is very good deal for workdays. I love the supper burrito. Restaurant is clean and the employee is nice and offer chips. Great place for lunch.

Chile relleno

Nah. This is a large place that seems to be larger skating on past laurels. Food was okay at best. My chile relleno was the inside out type, and it was super heavy on the cheese. Other stuff was equally just okay. And their payment system was down because their internet was down. Huh? Use a hotspot while you wait for a fix. Won't return. There are much better Mexican and Mexican-American restaurants in the region.

Enchilada & Tostada combo

I can't believe I have never reviewed this La Fuente. Over the last 30 years I've probably been there 30 times. I'm pretty sure it's a "sister" restaurant to the one in Fairwood. This one is the prettier sister. On this visit my friend and I both got lunch combos. I ordered a beef tostada & chicken enchilada. Both were delicious. I thought I was going to clean my plate but couldn't quite finish my enchilada and beans & rice. Happily enjoyed them as leftovers for lunch the next day. My friend ordered 2 cheese enchiladas. She took one bite and realized they were chicken. Not one to complain or waste food she was going to just eat them when our waiter arrived with her cheese enchiladas realizing there had been a mistake. Our water glasses were kept filled and we were offered refills on chips & salsa. It was quite cold inside when we arrived as the first lunch guests of the day. In the ladies room the first bathroom stall you come to is child size. Very low to the floor. Use the handicap stall unless you like sitting on very low toilets.

Nachos La Fuente

Holy molé! This place is epic. The Nachos La Fuente was one of the best plates of nachos I've ever had. Add chicken and honestly, the small plate is plenty for 3-4 people as an appetizer. I can't even imagine what the large plate is like. The chicken molé was on point and the Enchiladas Sunrise was delicious. Enchiladas with eggs on top? Yes please! Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant was clean and on-brand. A really solid choice for good Mexican food.

The colorado burrito and the rice was good. Taquitos were okay. We also got flan (not pictured) and it was sour-tasting.

**COVID-19 Lockdown Edition** I have never been to La Fuente before. In truth I never heard about it. My friend and I were hungry and ordered from La Fuente had his suggestion since he had gone there before. We opted to use Uber Eats as our conveyor of delicious food and placed our order. For some reason the order noted that it was done by the time our delivery driver was in the parking lot but then the restaurant asked for additional time. Our delivery driver was not sure why as she said that the food was ready when she got there so she didn't know why they just didn't hand it to her and send her on her way. That really was the only hiccup. Our food arrived nicely packaged and still quite warm. I had ordered a Mexican pizza which was a flour shell topped with beans, cheese, guac, sour cream, and ground beef. It was very good! It was perfectly balanced, great flavor, and just overly delightful. I also ordered churros as churros are one of the few desserts my friend and I can both eat and they were amazing! Light, crisp but doughy in the inside with the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar I would have eaten them all and left none for my friend in lockdown with me. He ordered a burrito which was longer than my forearm and thicker. It was amazing! I was very happy with the experience!

Burrito Asada... SO BIG.

The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal. I'll definitely be exploring more of this area of Renton--there seem to be a ton of authentic Mexican restaurants nearby. We went late at night, so options were a bit limited at the time, but this was a good find.

For this visit I only did takeout, though I did get a chance to go inside with my friends as we were waiting for our orders. It's bright and extremely casual inside with ample seating, though nearly everyone that came in did takeout like we did. And there were people constantly coming in and out for the food here! Staff was quick in prepping everything and asking if we wanted extra sauce on the side. I got their carnitas plate, and as a takeout portions are huge here! Meat was flavorful, tender and savory; the jalapeños added a nice spice to the dish; and the extra sauces on the side added even more spice onto it that I enjoyed. The dish was wrapped well in a disposable aluminum plate and covered as well. This went for all of our orders, which included the burrito plate and taco salad. This place is easily one I'd come back to for Mexican food at a great price and quality!

But just as I was convincing her to give it a moment the staff came out from the back with orders, saw us, and we were quickly seated by the window. The space has been converted and feels that way, like the fingerprints of the previous tenant has not been erased. The menu is extensive with all the typical dishes we see in Mexican restaurants with very reasonable costs. They offer a few alcoholic drinks including margaritas, which I found to be splendid and perfectly balanced. The food also was tasty. I ate the enchiladas especial which seemed like fairly typical enchiladas and I mean that in the best of ways. The service also was great. Our waitress checked in on us often, was super polite and friendly, and was prompt with our bill. All in all a wonderful lunch!

I had to get up to get my tortillas from the buffet isle. Waitress never came back to check on us after bringing our food. I had to get up to ask for my tab and pay at the counter. Their focus on the weekend was obvious, they focus on their buffet. I'll be trying other places near by. This is definitely not the place for me.
