Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the wait. My poached eggs were overcooked, and the Jose Special was very dry. After we left, my friends and I all agreed the food was just... mid. Not bad, but definitely not anything memorable or worth such a long wait. I don't quite understand why there's consistently such a crowd if the food isn't anything out of the ordinary. On the positive side, the tea selection was solid, and the prices were very reasonable, which is always a plus. Overall, great service and fair pricing, but the food didn't match the hype or the wait time.

Loved!! Wow we visited Seattle and looked at places for bfast right after getting our rental. Jay berrys came up and it def did not disappoint!! It was so good!! And packed! It's def that local spot and we love that we dined in here. The menu is huge and I still regret not getting their cinnamon rolls. Ahh! Excited to be back when we visit again!!

If you are looking for that out of the way spot, that is also everyone's hangout, this is your spot. Along with a vibrant sports bar (complete with divey feel) is their restaurant with full menu items. Don't forget their Saturday night prime rib evenings. And as an added bonus... they make some of the most excellent pizza in this part of unincorporated King County (closest to Renton that is). There is both sit down down restaurant area, as well as the locally famous bar. Is it divey? Absolutely!! Come for the drinks, the food and your friends. And a very friendly, veteran staff. Stop on by for your favorite drink, and your favorite meal!

Went back to Jay's today. Haven't been for awhile. Still great, friendly service and very attentive. Ordered the fish and chips. Plenty on the plate for $19.99 and to comes with a fairly large salad! My husband ordered the club sandwich and he said it very perfect. We did ordered their homemade apple pie. Review pending on it because we had it "to go".

Came here again for breakfast around 9am Tuesday morning. It easy busy at all! We were able to find parking easily as well as get seated immediately. Service was quick and staff was very kind. Food was delicious!! They give pretty decent portions for a very fair price (our food plus a hot chocolate and coffee was $45 in total). Definitely recommend coming here for that dinner breakfast experience.

Lost a star because of the young man who refuse to give me ice water. He asked if we needed more coffee and I asked him if I could get some ice water, because it was getting warm. He joked and said "No. you have medicine and I don't". I had a half of glass of mimosa, so I think that is what he was calling medicine. I did not care for his attitude. I finally caught a server walking by & asked he for water and told her I was really warm. Less than 1 minute she showed up with that ice water. As busy as it was she made time for my request...I thank her if I knew her name. Our breakfast was delish as usual and service was good with Cindy. The ambiance was loud & busy. This kid ruin it a bit with the refusal of ice water.

Good food, great selection, friendly staff, homey feel....just get there before 9 am on weekends. I'd forgotten that I used to frequent this place every so often. A decade later, it's still standing and still great!

Kids love this place, and not just because of the awesome service, the biggest kids menu they've seen, and the overall vibe - but they genuinely love the comfort food foundation of this cafe. For the adults, the portions are huge and the prices are really good, especially given the horrendous foodie delusion throughout much of Seattle and the corresponding entitlement pricing. Jay Berry's is the exact opposite. Can't recommend it enough.

    Happy hour Nachos!!!!!

Always a favorite! Lucky to live close by as the service is outstanding and the beer is always cold. We popped in for happy hour and had a few Manny's and their HH nachos - which are really good. Summer is our favorite w the patio but inside is always a hoot. Don't skip breakfast if you have a chance.

I've driven by this place and am so happy I decided to go here. A neighborhood gem for sure! When you come in there is a small hallway. Restrooms on the left and a bar on the right. Immediately met with a smile. At the front desk is a huge cinnamon roll. The menu is huge too. I get overwhelmed with large menus so decided to order a breakfast sandwich which gave me chance to try their cheese sauce, called a formaggi sauce. I was weary and didn't order the eggs Benedict because I love hollandaise sauce. The Rooster is a breakfast sandwich, scrambled eggs, bacon, on a French bread style sandwich and you dip it into the famous formaggi sauce that is all over the menu. OMG! Delicious!!!!! Not too heavy, cheesy, not too cheesy. Absolutely perfection. And the eggs cooked to perfection. So yummy and soft without being runny. Or a pancake which looked delicious on the kids table next to us. Fluffy and sweet. Next time the eggs Benedict. With the formaggi sauce, which is so good! , not hollandaise. Look it up. You'll love it. Add to the menu $5 mimosas and $5 bloody Mary's. I had one of each. Don't judge, treat yourself. My friends all were super happy with their meals. I had a bite of a sausage. Delish! Service? 10/10. Now I can't wait to go back. Need to have some more delicious food with their amazing sauce. Treat yourself! SYOY!

You can't go wrong with starting your morning at Jay Berrys Cafe! I love "breakfast bowls" so when I saw The Coalfield Corner Special on their menu, I knew I had to try it. It was delicious!

I visited again cause I couldn't forget the their tots and benedict plate. I also ordered a pancake on the side and it was bomb. I have to come back again to try their classic breakfast since Im still dreaming about the pancake I had. Note: I arrived at 8:30 in Saturday morning but restaurant was full already lol.

This is a solid breakfast/brunch spot. The portions are pretty large for the price and it tastes good. Service is ok -- the last server I got was pretty rude and kept glaring at us for no reason. There's an average amount of seating, so sometimes theres a long wait. The parking lot is small, so parking can be a pain when it gets busy.

I went into the event very comfortable that everything would be taken care of, and it was. The party went off without a hitch. Food was prompt, hot and tasty. Service was great. They went above and beyond to make my son's day special with music and little party favors. We didn't request the extras and there was no charge. We were really touched and felt cared for. With twenty 8-year-olds, we kept it simple with pies and 2L's. That worked well for us. But they also had a number of other tasty looking offerings to add on. There was no tip option with card payment or default gratuity added to the check. We came back with cash after we finished at 8bit Arcade down the street. So, save yourself a trip and bring cash. The room is not huge but large enough for our party of 30 to lunch. The bathrooms are accessed through a work area. If you choose this venue for a similar event, just know it's a restaurant, not a kids' venue. You will need to manage the kids, so they don't become disruptive.

I am sad to be writing this review but here goes it…read more Service - 2 stars Our server was new so I have to give her some grace and give her an extra star for effort. She was the only one on the floor and she couldn't answer any of our questions because it was her third day. Every question we asked, she walked to the back for an answer... one at a time. After having to go back there a few times, you'd think that the guy would just come out and talk to us. Food - 1 star Pizza: Nothing special but it was ok. Pasta: Alfredo sauce tastes like it's straight out of the jar. Chicken wings: We ordered two types of wings, both small size (6-8 wings). They brought out one large order (12 wings) in a completely different flavor than the two we ordered. When we asked about taking it off the bill, they tried to tell me that the two wing orders came on one plate. I told them I wasn't expecting anything free but I would like my bill to reflect what we were served. Even if what he said was true, one order of large wings is cheaper than two orders of smalls. Price - 0 stars The prices on their menus reflect the pictures in the yelp reviews - which are all wrong. I get inflation is real and things are expensive these days, but please update your menus. Pasta was supposed to be $11, we got charged $16.99. A fountain sprite and some syrup (Shirley temple) was $11!! This place is completely out of line, in my opinion, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Even if the food was good, which I can't say that it was, the way customers are manipulated is just not right.

I came across Stevie's Famous via social media and the people weren't lying that they have the BEST…read moresourdough crust pizza in town (maybe in all of WA). I literally made my boyfriend take me here twice in one week because of how mind-blowing good their pizza is! Stevie's sells whole 12" pizzas (made for 2-3 people) and pizza by the slice. They unfortunately don't do half and half pizzas, so you and you companion(s) have to be on the same page if your ordering a whole pizza. On my first visit, I ordered a slice of their classic PEPPERONI ($5.50) and made it a Normie (+$2). I'm not sure who Normie is, but Normie is an absolute genius for adding burrata and hot honey to pizza - a literal kiss from heaven. The burrata and hot honey combo adds lots of complex flavors to your slice - so you get the savory, the sweet, and the spicy in every bite - and complex textures with the crispy chewy crust and the soft and creamy burrata. The pepperoni was fantastic and the sourdough crust was fresh and out of this world! On my second visit, I got a slice of their MUSHROOM GORGONZOLA ($6) and you already know I had to make it a Normie (+$2). The mushrooms were nice and earthy and while this pizza didn't have tomato sauce, it had a nice olive oil base and was super delicious. They rotate their pizza slices daily, but always have your standard cheese and pepperoni. If you're getting a slice, they warm up the slice for you right after you order so the cheese gets super gooey and the crust gets super crunchy. I haven't gotten a whole pizza from them yet, but the make it fresh on the spot. Make sure to grab extra napkins cause the slices do get oily and therefore messy. Service is great and the people working there are super friendly. It takes them only about 5 minutes to warm up a slice of pizza and they always welcome you in and thank you for coming on your way out. In terms of atmosphere, they have limited indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables. They have merch featuring their dog logo and a couple of arcade machines too. Parking is limited to street-parking only, but I didn't have any issues finding a spot a couple of blocks down. Overall: 5/5 for pizza, 5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere.
