Chicken with Rice & Beans, lb. Grilled Steak with 2 side orders
    Jaciely C.

My dad is famous for finding a good restaurant and only eating there for several months. Well, La Granja is one of those places! It has been on his top 5 for a few years now and I don't mind it. First time I ever had it was with him and I loved it. This location has a drive thru so it makes it convenient for a quick dinner or even lunch! I love ordering the chicken with two sides and I add tostones because they always make them fresh! I have tried their fried yuca as well and it's also one of my favorite things on their menu. It tastes like a French but thicker. I highly recommend trying them, if you haven't. My dad always orders the steak with two sides and eats every piece of it. Their prices are great and if you grew up in a hispanic household this is comfort food!

This place missed the mark for me. I went through their drive thru for a later dinner than normal. The steak was very thin and very overcooked. It was chewy and hard to eat. The plantains were mushy and the rice was cold. You can tell from the picture that my food doesn't look like any of their other pictures. Prices weren't cheap either. Service was slow even at a drive thru. This was probably my first and last visit unfortunately.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes! What a great surprise. The outside doesn't look like much. But wow, the food was absolutely amazing. I was driving by and saw it and felt adventurous. I am glad I stopped. I got my food from the drive thru. It was quick, fresh, and delicious. The price was awesome, only $6.75 for quarter chicken, black beans, and rice. I purchased a drink to go with it. So in all it was under $10. The black beans taste like they were slow cooked with love. I will be back for sure and get food for the family. Make sure you try all 3 of the sauces, they are all so good.

LEGIT PERUVIAN FAST FOOD?!?!? Whaaaat!!? Ok... so I've come to a realization that after Puerto Rican food... Peruvian is my second favorite type of food. Lol! I've been seriously thinking about this and it's true! So I might consider myself an expert on Peruvian food, but let's say I have a bit of experience searching out Peruvian restaurants. Little did I know that their is a Peruvian "fast-food chain" called "La Granja" (translates to "The Barn). Peru, I never thought their could be such a place. Legit creole Peruvian food with a drive thru window. SOLD! This location is in Apopka, Florida (about 15 minutes from Downtown Orlando) and I went for their lunch special ($6-7). Ordered their sautéed chicken breast with black beans and rice. YUMMERS! About a 5-7 minute wait for freshly cooked food. Beautiful presentation and legit utensils. Like not plastic, but real, stainless steel utensils. Food was bursting with flavor, steaming hot and my stomach and taste buds were happy. Definitely visiting again!! I learned they also have a location near one of the offices I visit (for work) in Kissimmee. Fast food was never this appealing until "La Granja!" Yes, "La Granja"... we WILL meet again.

Garlic fish with shrimp and scallops. Shrimp and scallops must e hiding!

I got the breaded fish with shrimp and scallops. The fish was good but I got to shrimp and scallops. I tried to explain to the server who came around but the language barrier prevented me from getting the point across. I'll probably try again but go with something more simple.

My husband brought the boys and I here over the weekend. The service is fast and you get quite a bit of food for your money. The place had a good crowd eating as well as a steady flow of people coming in to order. We ordered a full chicken with a side of rice, beans and plantains. I believe we spent less than 25 dollars for it all. We still had a bunch of rice leftover. It was well worth it. At the tables, they put out hot sauce, garlic sauce and a vinaigrette. At the front you can get ketchup and mayo and there is a small side bar with different "salsas". I'd definitely come back and try some of their seafood dishes. They have a nice little selection of juices, soda and some beer.

The lobster bisque was made with sherry wine, which gave it such a unique, rich flavor. The fish and chips were absolutely to die for. It is on the pricier side, but honestly worth it. Their dill tartar sauce was a standout too, and I'm usually not even a tartar sauce person. The remoulade sauce was also really good. We also had the mac and cheese, which had great flavor and a rich, creamy base. I liked the seasoning and the seafood-style comfort food feel of it, but it was a little too oily for me. After a few bites, the oiliness started to overpower the cheese and made it feel heavier than expected. That was really my only critique, because the taste itself was good and it definitely had potential. For dessert, we had the strawberry mousse, and it was perfect. Light, sweet, and such a good way to end the meal. Overall, this is a great seafood spot with memorable flavors, friendly staff, and dishes I'd absolutely come back for!

The birthday girl loves seafood and wanted to go back to Crafty Crab. We were greeted immediately upon entering and was ushered to a table near the bar. Since we were so close to the bar, it was only fitting that I had an alcoholic beverage so I chose the Strawberry Mojito. Farah was great! She answered all our questions about the menu and made recommendations. She checked in periodically to make sure we were okay. I already had dinner earlier in the evening and wasn't too hungry so I ordered appetizers to share with the table. I decided on the Hush Puppies and the Krab Rangoons. The Strawberry Mojito was great. It had a generous amount of liquor and mint leaves that complimented each other very well. The Hush Puppies were delicious! They had a great flavor and were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the Crab Rangoons. The pastry was ok but the cream cheese filling tasted different than what I am custom to having. The Celebrant did enjoy her seafood boil. She had Crab Legs and Shrimp with Potatoes and Corn on the Cob. Other members in our party also enjoyed their orders of Mozzarella Sticks, Crab Cakes, a Strawberry Lemonade and a Pina Colada.

They had a rubbery texture, which usually means they weren't as fresh. I ordered shrimp, and they were definitely overcooked. I didn't even finish my meal and ended up heading to another spot afterward. But personally, this seafood spot just isn't for me.

Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. For the entree my sister ordered one snow crab cluster which I know for a fact their market price was high, also they don't offer them in any kind of seasoning. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.
