FIRST-RATE from CA to NEVADA This is my fourth move with La Habra Relocations. I had confidence that this out of state relocation would be a success, as well. TOUCHDOWN!! Marguerite, Mary Ann, Ozzie and his team took the fEAr OUT of moving for me. Estimate: From the start, Marguerite, put my anxiety to rest. Her cost estimate and time schedule were clear and "on the nose". No horrific surprises ... Packing: Swift and professional. Jackie's hands moved like lightning through my kitchen. Not one piece of crystal, fine china, nor a bone china doll was broken. (Nor chipped) Even my boots were wrapped and boxed. Loading: On time again. Care and concern for my "precious cargo" Driving: Mary Ann kept me aware of projected arrival and delivery, so I could coordinate my flight plans. Unloading/Delivery: There they are--on time. Set up my bed, placed numbered boxes and furniture in appropriate rooms. NOTHING was missing, broken, chipped--NADA. We used La Habra Relocations nearly twenty years ago and they were fantastic. Friendly, very reasonable prices, knowledgeable, great communicators and hard workers. We recently moved out of state and used them again and fortunately nothing has changed. They will work closely with you and ensure that you are satisfied through the entire moving process. We had the pleasure of working with closely with Mary Ann, Marguerite and Ozzie and his Team, and they were all amazing. Just as a side note, Marguerite estimated the number of boxes needed for a three plus bedroom house to within three boxes and the rolls of tape were literally down to the last roll of tape on the last box. That's a pretty amazing performance. As we all know, moving is not fun, but the one thing I didn't have to worry about was the movers. Great job! They are as good as it can get!!! read more

STARTED STRONG BUT; FINISHED VERY WEAK I liked Margereet and MaryAnne from the start they were always upbeat and helpful and I believed the price Margereet gave my wife and I was a fair one for the work to be done. We sold our home . PACKING END: The crew and trucks showed up about 8:15 am which early but acceptable. We were pretty much packed and boxed up. It took about 6 hours to load the trucks. Every half hour the boss had a new gripe, not enough boxes, furniture too heavy, half way through taking my wife's business desk apart which was paid for to disassemble in Brea and assemble at Glen Ivy; that after two men could not take the desk apart the Boss man told us that the desk would not be able to be resembled and he would throw it away for us, gee thanks LOL!! They did wrap the couches up rather nicely.and boxed various items I.E pillows, cushions and five paintings UNPACKING: this is where everything falls apart. They showed up early and informed me they brought another man to help,one of the men told me they had another move after us and that set the tone for our move. It looked like a Chinese fire drill and though all boxes were clearly labeled very few got remotely close to where they belonged. The top to my 150 year old Chip and dale desk was broken off, the box with my mother's heirloom china was smashed into a hundred pieces. My wife asked for three boxes labeled Garage to be left in the garage, they left at leas ten others,I'm handicapped and my wife has had two hand surgeries. Our move from Fullerton, CA to Olympia WA was not what I expected from a professional long haul moving company like Wheaton - La Habra Relocations. Marguerite was our estimator/coordinator and Jaime was our Driver/Leader. To start with, one of the loaders left a cart with four boxes of glasses unattended. It tipped over breaking some of the glasses but worse than that it hit our entertainment center damaging it and breaking a glass panel. This same loader was later using one had to push our stuff around on a dolly because his constant use of his cell phone was more important to him. I spoke to the driver/leader to reprimand him, but it seemed to have no effect. I later found him in my backyard with a large bin of ceramic outdoor knick knacks and other items that he had flipped over upside down to load onto his dolly. Our delivery date in WA was not met because of a "mechanical" problem and postponed 2 days. When they finally arrived at our home they realized that they could not get their truck down our driveway or leave it in the street and had to postpone our delivery for one more day to use a shuttle truck to move our stuff in a batch at a time. Our WA home is in a rural area but only 3 miles from Olympia, and off of a street that has a 50 mph speed limit. The driver/leader told us that he had checked out our location on Google the day before our scheduled delivery and thought there might be a problem. With a large outfit like Wheaton, why wasn't a representative sent out to check our site ahead of time? The move that was supposed to take from 3 - 6 days ended up taking 9 days. Our entertainment center was damaged a second time on delivery breaking another glass panel and snapping the wood trim for the panel in half. Several other pieces of furniture were delivered with scratches and abrasions. The driver/leader blamed this on the local loaders and off loaders that they use that tend to try to work too fast. He also promised us that he would stop by our home a week after our delivery, when he finished another job up in Seattle, with replacement glass for our entertainment center, but it has been a over month now. No glass and he does not return my texts and phone calls. One other note: The driver's main helper who was part of the pick up and delivery could not read. This would not be an issue except he kept having to ask me where boxes should go when they were clearly marked. We live in a split level, essentially two story, home. I have had to relocate at least 15 to 20 heavy boxes from the upstairs, downstairs and garage to their correct location. From my personal experience I would not recommend La Habra Relocations/Wheaton to anyone. read more

Was referred by a friend, they seemed friendly and courteous enough. Gave me a quote, I gave them my CC number day before the move, after packing me up they asked me what was the value of my possessions. I had already discussed getting insurance with the appraiser and it simply is so outrageous that its not an option. When I got my CC statement there was an extra $150 above the quoted price. I was informed that by initialling the documents that were extensive that I agreed to the extra amount to insure the move one mile up the road. OUTRIGHT SCAM. You may say I should have read the fine print but I would contend nobody does. Insurance had been discussed earlier as not viable Yet they claimed that they insured it just for the trip??? read more

We had the best service from LaHabra Relocations. What an amazing job they did, everyone was very polite and enjoyable to work with. All the workers introduced themselves walked through the house to make sure the boxes were delivered to the right rooms. They took care of our belongs and made sure to cover stair rails and floors. These guys did a great job. We were much more of a problem, but they were great. Guys we're very patient with circumstances beyond our control. Loading and unloading all the guys worked hard and carefully. We were in constant communication with Mary Ann and she with us. By the time it was over with, they held up every bit of their end, and the extra charges for the trouble we caused were minor. With someone like Mary Ann there, this was a fantastic experience. If I could give more stars, I would. I have to tell you I was worried about any movers, and these guys exceeded my expectations. Dale, my account rep, was a very nice guy, made great suggestions when he came out, and responded to any of my questions very promptly. I had received an estimate from this company and from Benkins. Benkins was $300 more! We almost booked them because we were thinking they were more trustworthy. So glad we didn't. Glad we were able to save money and get outstanding service. My crew showed up early! (unheard of) and were done in record time. They took the time to wrap all the furniture well. My head guy on moving day, Carlos, was outstanding. So friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for anything better. This was a local move from Mission Viejo to San Clemente. From a two story to a single level. I would def. recommend these guys in a heart beat. read more

And you'd make an attempt to send someone responsible to rearrange the boxes your fellows just randomly stashed in the storage. You have done none of that. After repeated phone calls Marianne arranged for a local facility to send someone helpful to set up one of the beds. Even he shook his head and admitted what a terrible job Justin and his crew had done and was helpless cause he would need help to rearrange those boxes and he was alone. We sold our home in April and had all our belongings packed up and put into storage for three months. We were very unprepared for the first move and Mary Ann and all the movers worked with us to make everything go as smooth as possible. After moving everything into storage we realized we needed to access our crates to find some personal belongings we didn't think we would need. Not only did they get us in right away, they found the crate it was in easily and didn't charge us a penny because we were in and out. Mary Ann was such a pleasure to work with and kept me at ease during both moves. I did read some of the comments about pricing and contract issues and we had none of that. Everything was laid out up front and the move cost us exactly what they quoted us. My property was delivered in the exact condition it left my home and I couldn't be happier. I was asked to remove my post ... I am sorry at this point we cannot, as I feel if someone wrongs you - you must forgive. So I will raise my rating to show forgiveness, but the problem I have in removing my post is that the Owner received the bill for all the damage to my furniture , which was over $1500.00 dollars to repair and a list of broken Leadro miniature's , Christal and missing tools etc... His response was all I can give you is $500.00 which means we could not repair my damages and no compensation for the missing or distroyed items "as this is his policy he is self insured"... So I still stand by my post..... read more

This was the worst moving experience we have ever had. After telling us that we needed to have the glass from our table packed up in one of their boxes one of the moving men who was packing it dropped the glass onto a tile floor in our home and broke it in a thousand pieces. It was a $700 table and we received a check for $36 on our claim. We even had to make another claim to get the cost of the carton back. Also we had to wait an extra 2 1/2 hours for the truck to arrive at our new home because the driver was not licensed to drive that particular truck and was stopped at the truck stop. read more

To be fair the work the movers did was very good - I want to let everyone know that no matter how long your move is you will be charged for a minimum of 4 hours of labor, I had two crates in storage with La Habra Relocations for several months. When they delivered the creates from their storage I was charged for 4 full hours of moving time even thought the job was done in 55 minutes. Be sure to figure that into your moving and storage costs. In the end this may not be the deal you were hoping for. read more

This rating is strictly for the fact they fell off the face of the earth before our move. Everything started very promising. This was the first company to call me to set up an estimate after entering an online query. They came on time, even offering to come early, for the estimate. Marguerite gave a reasonable estimate on packing and moving. We were pleased and looking forward to the move. Long story short, never heard back from LHR. Called cell phones, business phones, even the main office phone and left multiple voicemails. Nothing. Very strange, but also very upsetting. Sent their estimate to another company that said they'd beat it by a few bucks and decided to go with them. They had our business but strangely fell off the face of the earth when we needed to schedule this big move. Weird. read more

We moved in August from a 2500 SF 2-story house in Laguna Hills, CA to a 2400 SF 3-story (including basement) in Colorado. After searching the internet and reading reviews on Moving Companies we were exgtremely concerned that this would be a horrible experience. We were very pleasantly suprised. Dale, the agent came to give us the quote, gave us packing tips since we were doing our own packing. He spent a considerable amount of time answering questions. We had follow up questions which we left messages for him on and he responded to them within a day. the officed called 2 days prior to move date to give us the driver/packer contact info and confirm dates. Unfortunately we did not get unloaded on the date we originally requested, but it was within the 4 day window they are allowed per contract. On the day of the move the driver/packer (Manny) showed up on time and wrapped the furniture to reduce risk of damage. The load was larger than the estimator anticipated but since it was a guaranteed quote, we were not charged anything additional, and everything still made it on the truck. The driver also showed up on time at the move in and got right to work. The only item damage was a refrigerator. We are currenty in claim process to get it fixed or replaced but so far they have been handling that satisfactorily. The driver and the packers at both the move out and move in here were professional, hardworking, friendly and thankful for the drinks and food we provided them. One note - we fed them breakfast, lunch and dinner... I would recommend doing that because the happier the movers are... the happier you are. There were even 2 items at move in that we had them put on the main level and later decided we wanted in the basement. They moved both of these large items (Futon and Big Screen TV) to the basement without complaint - I know from research that once something is set down it is not relocated so I thought this was going above and beyond the call of duty. Everything about our experience with La Habra Relocations and Wheaton Van Lines was exceptional. I could not be happier and would recommend them to anyone I know without hesitation. If we are ever in need of a professional moving company here in Denver we will go thru Wheaton again. read more

Recently I contracted them to move from Brea to Tustin. Except that they could not meet my most preferred day to move because they were already fully booked, I would say that I was satisfied with their overall services. the customer representatives were friendly and accommodative. The movers were professional and very efficient. Just 2 to 3 guys could pack and move all my stuff securely. And their prices were fair among the three movers that gave me quotes. read more

I was sincerely disappointed with my first experience with movers. Granted we had lots of things to move - but they saw that when they first walked through our property. It has been three months since they left. I still cannot find the glass shelves to my china closet. I have found two broken windows. I find boxes in places where they were clearly not supposed to be. We were told that our move would not exceed a certain amount. We have several email conversations stating just that. We were unable to be present during the move so we asked a family member to step in. He was unaware of all of these prior conversations and signed the forms the company asked him to sign. In a word - amazing! We heard about La Habra Relocations through a recommendation from a friend. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and extremely skilled in moving. On the day of our move they arrived on time and went to work immediately. The house we moved out of was split level with two flights of stairs. They handled it with ease - moving appliances, furniture and boxes with care. They listened to all of our instructions both for loading and unloading. In the end we were absolutely pleased - couldn't have asked for more - . nothing broken, not a scratch on any of our belongings, and boxes placed conveniently in the places we had requested. I had the best service from start to finish from La Habra Relocations. Dan Langill came out and was very honest and helpful in accessing my moving and storage needs. The packing crew was outstanding under packing supervisor, Mina Munguia. They were very friendly and took great care with my possessions. I was amazed at their efficiency in packing quickly. The movers were also fantastic under Ramon Hernandez's direction. He was very personable and concerned about me being comfortable as I waited for them to load. They treated my furniture as if it were their own. All of this was managed by Marguerite Flores. She has been amazing in coordinating everything and answering my many questions with patience. La Habra Relocations - will rip you off if they can. We had them move us from one 2 story house to another, about 35 miles away. Here's the summary: Greg the estimator said it would only take 1 truck. It took two. Not a good estimator. Since they could not pack everything in one day, they stored our belongings in the truck and parked it overnight. They then delivered our belongings to the new house and Marianne (and upper management) CHARGED US FOR TWO DELIVERIES. Original quote was around $2,700 and that's what we were charged for the first day. We were then charged ANOTHER $2,500 for the second day. It is true that we still had some packing to finish when they first arrived, but even if it had all been packed and ready to go, it would not have fit in one truck. That's why they used two. Another reason things were not ready to go on time is because 1 of the 5 guys they sent to do the move was found sleeping in our closet. I found him there after I had bought lunch for the crew and could not find the owner of the last fish sandwich. Apparently, he had been sleeping there for hours. He had a drink and chips stored away with him. Management did not take that into account. Some of the crew members were courteous enough and worked hard. The problem is with estimators and management who underestimate and then over charge when possible. Save yourself a lot of grief and money. Go elsewhere. BTW, expect to read a boiler plate, cut and paste reply from Gary (as you can see from many of the other disappointed customers) that is insincere and unhelpful (unless some one else is cutting and pasting their replies these days). read more

This Company violated the " NOT TO EXEED COST " written estimate I received, at the day of the move they demanded extra charges for the furniture and the boxes, another extra charges to bring a "SHUTTLE TRUCK" to load up and then to go to their warehouse to reload to the 16 wheeler truck they brought for the move that could not make turns or park in the streets or the ally at my place of resident in Santa Monica, CA, I had to agree to the extra charges because I had to give the keys to the new owners the next day of the move as the closed of escrow instruction demanded. read more

The worst experience ever. No show for moving day, late on rescheduled date, then to top it off, shipment arrives way past contracted date. All of this I could of dealt with if I could only get a call back from Marguerite or Rudy giving me an update. Eventually had to deal with Wheaton directly. read more
