I don't know who needs to hear this but if a restaurant has multiple signs up that say "no refunds for food and/or alcohol that was ordered and was NOT what YOU expected" then don't dine there. I thought, because of the location, maybe a few Karen's had visited but nope; the food was as the signs indicated... TRASH. the cheese dip was bland and I had the audacity to ask for a spicy salsa. I knew something was up when she brought out the same size boat full of salsa as the cheese dip. Of course they did because they charged for it. Literally all I needed was an ounce or two and she never said it's extra. Both my son and I ordered the veggie quesadilla which came with rice and we ordered a side of beans for him. None of it had flavor. Idk if they're scared to season but there's a lot of flavor in Mexican cuisine and they missed the mark. Both quesadillas were old with dried cheese. It looked like they attempted to warm a bag of California mix, again unseasoned, and opened up a stale cheese quesadilla then plopped it inside. every large piece of broccoli and cauliflower was cold. i even told her "idk who's cooking but he needs help". she said "oh thats Carlos and he does. good luck with your meal"! what else do you do but drown it in salt, pepper and the $6 tomatillo salsa? it was good the next day after marinating overnight. PS... don't bother trying to use your Yelp coupon for the cheese dip. They won't honor it. I do not recommend.

We went here as a group of 9 on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm. We were sat pretty quickly as a large group, but the restaurant was not that crowded. The food was fine tasting- your typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. They did well for the most part separating the independent checks. I did wish that they were better about checking on the drinks to see if anyone needed a refill.

We went there for dinner and we were not disappointed! The staff was friendly as soon as we walked in, the food was fast and fresh, and the restaurant was clean. I love me some Mexican food, so this was a must grab for me.

Stopped for a late lunch with co-workers. This location is my preference out of all of them. The food comes out well. The drinks are tasty. The service is decent.

My boyfriend's sister was in town. Eli and I decided to meet some of his family at La Hacienda by Tanger. Eli and I go to the La Ha in Summerville sometimes and always have a pretty good experience. This was our first time at this location together. We had a large party of about 10 adults and 8 kids. We got three tables near each other. The service was off from the start. We all got our drink orders taken, except for one of our tables. We ordered our food. I ordered the Enchiladas Suizas, which is what I usually get. All of our food came out at different times. Some of us were done eating by the time others got their food. Luckily for us, Eli and I got our food with the first round. My Enchiladas Suizas was disappointing because it only came with one pineapple slice on top. I usually get three or four pineapple slices on top of the Enchiladas Suizas. The reason I order that is for the pineapple! Because we got our food first, we were able to order dessert while the rest of the fam continued to eat their meals. We ordered the chocolate cake. It was supposed to come with ice cream and sopapilla. They told us they were out of ice cream. We still wanted it. They brought it out on the fajita plate still. Without the ice cream, the cake and the sopapilla got burnt up by the fajita plate, which was really hot! It all tasted incredibly burnt and disgusting. It would have been delicious if they would have put the cake and sopapilla on a regular plate! I went to the bathroom in the middle of dinner. I noticed in their bathroom that they had neither soap nor any hot water! Cold water only and no soap during COVID????? That is just not right! Also, we got zero refills the whole time we were there. That goes for all 18 of us. Not a great experience. I would highly recommend the La Ha in Summerville. This one, not so much.

Food was good. Waitress got my order wrong and when I kindly brought it to her attention she was rude and argumentative.

It's a bit of a drive to get there from downtown or Mt Pleasant but oh my god, it is entirely worth it. There was just one person running the entire front of the restaurant, waiting every table, bringing out all of the food, and handling the checks. She was fantastic and the service was great. We ordered in Spanish (the best we could) and everything turned out well, but the menu is in both English and Spanish so you could just point to the things you want. I had the enchiladas which were amazing, highly recommend. Also ask for a flavored water (agua fresca), they had pineapple, cucumber and lime, and tamarin. The pineapple water (agua fresca de piña) was so good! This place is a diamond in the rough. It doesn't look like much on the outside but don't judge a book by its cover, it's the best Mexican restaurant in Charleston!

On our way to the airport one weekend, we saw the sign for what appeared to be a new restaurant in town, the family was hungry and we decided to give it a shot. Not expecting much, we ordered some authentic Mexican dishes: Lamb Barbacoa. Chilaquiles, Enchiladas and Horchata and Cucumber waters.... boy, were we so pleasantly surprised!!!!! FINALLY; delicious, fresh and truly authentic Mexican dishes!! For once everyone, wife, toddlers, teenage son, mother in law and I unanimously agreed, we're so delighted with this place that we have made it our go-to weekend breakfast spot. Service is super friendly, portions are generous, prices are fair. We hope this place keeps the great quality of the food for years to come. Congratulations to the chef, cooks and staff, all of you succeeded in making us feel at home.

We shopped and shopped and worked up an appetite. We walked into the tiny little restaurant and I immediately went onto my yelp app. The menu is NOT in English and I had no idea what I wanted so I used pictures as some sort of a guideline lol. My husband ordered enchiladas and we agreed, per usual that we would split everything. I ordered huarache and then last minute we decided to do an order of the plantains, (only one not pictures) sorry y'all they were delicious!!! The only flaw I saw was the guy in back, guessing owner, pretty much ran the entire show, which is badass, however I wished he wore gloves!! And then I almost ate both foil and wax paper from scraping the plastic to the bottom, it was worth it. We love finding authentic little places like this, they started with a food struck and now have this little hole in the wall place that packs a powerful punch! Oh and their green hot sauce that came in the soufflé cup was amazing! If not for my son, I would have drenched my food in it! So good! We would definitely come back, but I'd research the menu a little more before coming, so I can figure out what I want beforehand.

Pollo Loko - North Charleston, SC…read more The wife and I stopped into Pollo Loko for a quick lunch, not expecting much... and wow, what a surprise this place turned out to be. First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.

This is a fast casual style restaurant and not a real fancy place. My picky colleague who's never had peruvian ordered the ribs. Quesadiladas - you get 2 in an order and these are different than Mexican ones since they have grilled bell peppers and onions. A bit pricy too...the rice and beans that come with this are just average. They only had 2 salsas for the table, a green ranch like one and a red spicy one similar to a spicy Mexican red sauce. I'm still looking for a peruvian restaurant that has the spicy green sauce that most all peruvian restaurants have in California.
