I've been to bonefish Grill many times and I'm happy to review them. The only mistake or issue I've ever had in many times. I've been there for an espresso martini that was just unbreakable. I had to send it back and order something different. Not sure if it was the way they made it or the alcohol or just wasn't made right, but it wasn't good. I took my friend to Bonefish on Tuesday for her birthday. We have both enjoyed Bonefish in the past but that day was a major letdown. We were seated in the bar area and I think when we got there it had a couple of tables & maybe two ppl at the bar. Our server came over and took our drink orders and then we ordered some bang bang shrimp. When the runner brought out our app one of the shrimp dropped on the floor literally right by our table. He apologized and got a towel to clean it up. My friend and I were expecting to get another shrimp to replace the one that he dropped. He did not. I know ppl might think "hey it was one shrimp" but I know they have a certain amount per serving and idc if it was one shrimp, we should have gotten a replacement, we paid for a certain amount of shrimp. If we had dropped it obviously things would have been different. Then our server took our order and we both just wanted soup and a premium side. I got the corn & lump crab chowder and my friend got the tomato soup. I ordered the brussel sprouts and my friend ordered the fried cauliflower. My soup came out and I waited to start eating it until she got hers. We waited and waited and waited. I finally got the server's eye and said "she's still waiting on her soup." He went into the kitchen and he said it would be right out and the runner brought it out shortly after that after we had been waiting almost 10 mins. We got the bread for the table after the soup was brought out. We had to ask about our sides. Idk if this is their practice but we assumed that since we didn't order an entree that we would get our premium sides with our soup. When we asked he said they were being made and it will be a few mins. And then probably another 10 mins go by and he says "they're cooking right now, they'll be out shortly." When they were brought to the table they were lukewarm at best. My brussel sprouts were hard! I like a little crunch to my sprouts but they seemed like they weren't even cooked. My friend said her cauliflower was just ok and it was almost cold. We both took 2 bites and that was it. So we sat there talking and waiting for our server to come ask how everything was or if we needed to go boxes. He didn't do either one. Our server had to have walked by at least 3 times and I finally had to ask for some to go containers. I wouldn't have taken the food home but my husband will pretty much eat anything and I thought he could cook the sprouts to his liking. I didn't really care for the soup but I thought my husband would like it. The only thing nice that stood out to us is that our server wrote the date and what the food was on the to go containers which was helpful. The floor was slippery and my friend even said she almost slipped when we went to sit down. And right at the end of our meal 2 women came in and they just seemed like they were corporate or something. They put their bags down at the table next to us and they both kept moving their feet over the floor like they were checking for slippery floors. And it was obvious they felt it too. They went to the mat that was on the floor and wiped their feet and then went back to running their shoes over the bare floor. They went into the kitchen and were talking to the ppl back there and then came back with someone we suspected was the manager. Unfortunately my friend and I don't like confrontation and will normally just deal with it and not say anything. We both said we wished we were the kind of ppl who could walk over and say "hey excuse me this is what we just experienced at lunch." But we're not. I don't want to get anyone in trouble I'm just saying they need to talk to their staff or retrain them. My daughter is a server and she told me later that I should have said something to the server about the dropped shrimp bc runners don't care about that stuff. Well that is not good practice. And we had already waited so long on our lukewarm premium sides we didn't bother to say anything about that either. I mean at this point we didn't want to wait another 20 mins to get proper ones. We've always had great experiences at Bonefish so this was a letdown. Idk if I'll ever go back, unless I'm willing to speak up in the moment. If I do go back I'll take my husband bc he has no problem telling ppl when something isn't satisfactory. read more

Bonefish Grill is perfectly acceptable restaurant. I was highly impressed how much one man was accomplishing at lunch. He was the sole waiter of several tables and was the bartender. He felt largely alone. I ordered the fish and chips. The French fries were fine. Quite basic. The fish was heavily battered with a basic fish. It wasn't amazing. It wasn't horrible. Same with the vibe. It was basic. Not bad. Not amazing. I can't tell you I will remember this in a month. Hello, I had the opportunity to dine in at Bonefish just before closing. Micheal H was the server who was polite, patient, and provided insightful recommendations. The restaurant offered a casual and comfortable environment which is great to plan an event or have a romantic dinner within a reasonable budget. There is a combination of booth and table seating as well as a large bar area. The Blackened chicken egg-rolls have a lot of flavor profiles that collide with your tastebuds. It's very close to a southwest egg-roll and would pair better with a salsa versus the savor and sweet sauces provided. It was a hefty stuffed dish and the ingredients were fresh. The lobster ravioli was thin and under-stuffed; however, it managed to pack an abundance flavor. The last dish was the grouper and crab-cake. The grouper and asparagus were 10/10, the crab cake not so much, the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The cocktail and mocktails were tasty and clearly freshly made. Only times I have been here in the past is to visit the bar. This was the first time I came for dinner. It reminds me of a seafood version of Applebee's. All the items are very basic. And seem to be out of a bag and not fresh. We ordered the dinner special for I believe you get an appetizer a salad and two entrees. We got the fish trio where there's three kinds of fish prepared differently. Along with the house salad. Also came with there crab chowder soup. Everything was pretty basic. They definitely serve purpose for what they do. They are in between a basic and high level seafood restaurant. This is my second time trying Bonefish. The first time I came for dinner and had the shrimp & scallop scampi which I don not recommend from a flavor standpoint. They do give you a lot of food but it just doesn't have a scampi flavor at all. Today we popped in for lunch, to which the hostesses did not give us a lunch menu she only gave us a dinner menu. I didn't realize there was a lunch menu u until we got the bill and it had an insert referencing lunch specials. Do the bill is reflective of dinner pricing not lunch pricing. My husband had the Parmesan encrusted trout which came with jasmine rice and asparagus. He enjoyed the trout once a little salt was added (and he's not a salt person) the asparagus did not look appealing so he bypassed those. I ordered the lobster ravioli. It came with 6 raviolis in a nice cream sauce that had mushy, spinach and green onions. And yes there was real lobster claw meat inside. I would definitely order it again. We sat in the bar area and Chico took care of us. He was very professional and apologetic for us not receiving a lunch menu. The ambiance is low key easily accessible from the main road. Signed up for the Brunch Event and it was well worth it!! For $40 we got 4 courses each course paired with a delicious cocktail to complement. The food was amazing, a well thought out menu and the service was excellent! The team worked together to serve everyone quickly and kindly. Seating was reserved so we had no problem getting a table. Wicked themed 4-course meal. I love trying new dishes through these events. This event started a little differently than the past I've attended. We were tested this time at tables of 4 versus seating ourselves at a big u-shaped set up of tables. My friend snd I sat with a nice couple who we chatted and lsughed with the entire time. Service was pretty swift with each course. I know they're making a large amount of dishes at once, but t he temperature of the hot courses could've been better. Everything was tasty, but the temperature of the puree in the 1st course would have made it delicious, I'm sure, and the same for the seafood bass & ravioli in the 3rd course. We arrived on a Friday, a group of 7. The wait time was extensive, which is understandable for a Friday at 6pm. Nevertheless they quoted us 45 minutes, however 45 minutes turned into an hour, eventually we were seated. The wait to receive the food was another 30 to 40 minutes. The most disappointing part was that once the food arrived the consensus amongst the table was that it was mostly bland and lacked flavor. My entree, the Parmesan crusted trout was very oily as if they deep fried it instead of pan seared it. Overall, it was one disappointment after the next and I likely won't return anytime soon. The Burger had good flavor but was over cooked. Fries were good. Bacon Mac & Cheese was so-so kind of a let down. The garlic chunks were a little too big and very in your face. The cheese sauce was more of a white sauce with sprinkled cheese in there. Tasted all right just not what I thought it would be like. The last thing we got was Blackened Chicken Egg Rolls. I had a whole Asian vibe going with the brussel sprouts. I'm not much for chain restaurants but we had a gift card we'd been meaning to use for over a year so we made a reservation for that night to do dinner. I had been to this location before, but it was close to ten years ago and I haven't had Bonefish since. I remembered it being a little more upscale compared to similar restaurants and I would say that still fits. It was raining on a Friday night and the lobby was busy, but since we had a reservation we were seated right away. I can't recall our servers name, but she was very personable and made great recommendations. I could have sworn I knew her from somewhere else, but we couldn't figure it out. Maybe just one of those familiar faces. For the food, I really liked my bang bang shrimp appetizer. It's one of their most popular ones and for good reason. For dinner I ordered a scallop and shrimp dish with risotto and steamed broccoli. The risotto was an upcharged side and I didn't think it was that great. To be honest, all of the sides at the table were a little lackluster. The seafood was great and I really enjoyed both the shrimp and scallops that came with my meal. I do have to say though when you're charging $30+ for an entree like that, I expect the same quality I would get at a local spot. read more

The food label clearly said "Grilled Chicken," so the mix-up happened at the restaurant, not with DoorDash. When I called Bonefish Grill to get it sorted out, the woman who answered was incredibly rude and dismissive. She told me, "You got the wrong food, not the wrong order," as if that somehow made it better. There was zero apology or ownership of the mistake. She then told me I could drive back to pick up the right order myself, or call DoorDash and blame them -- even though the label on the food came directly from Bonefish Grill. Between the wrong order, the rude attitude, and the complete lack of accountability, this experience was beyond disappointing. It has been a number of years since we ate here but if you are going to the Tanger Outlet Mall to see what the sales are before Black Friday it is the best place around Tanger which I would recommend. It is a well appointed place that makes a higher end appearance. There is a separate bar with a couple of large TVs, which are visible through the glass partition of our particular booth, but they are close captioned so there is no sound heard from the televisions showing professional football. We started with drinks--a martini for the missus and an imported beer for me, cold and inviting. As an appetizer, we had the bang bang shrimp served in a bowl over chopped lettuce. An extraordinary appetizer with wonderfully done and seasoned shrimp. Oh yes, I envision a repeat order of that in the future. Then we selected the shared meal for two ($49) where each could select their meat, their salad and their side. My salad was a Caesar salad, with regular lettuce, but cheese and dressing to delight. There were plenty of croutons, which were plain tasting unless you stirred them around in the dressing which I tried a bit before I gave up on them filling me up. The meat entree for me was the pork tenderloin pieces finely seasoned, slightly spicy, and cooked to perfection at the medium temperature which I had requested. Quite good and worthy of a repeat order. My side was the bacon macaroni and cheese, a second choice as they were out of the the creamy parmeson pasta. As I noted in my photograph of this side, the bacon pieces were almost burnt but certainly were overdone. It is difficult to describe them as looking like bacon because they were one solid color which gave that somewhat burnt taste and look. This was not a side which I would order again for this reason and the creamy cheese finish. The overall meal was quite good. Our efficient waitress came back and forth to us as others brought our salads and our entrees in to us such that there were lots of people who were serving us and doing a fine job of it. Unfortunately, we were seated close to the main entry to the kitchen, so the sounds and the waiter traffic was a bit disconcerting. A very good and delicious meal in a upscale restaurant, even considering it is a chain. If you have never eaten in a Bonefish restaurant you need to go out of your way and have a good experience as we did. read more

The customer service is okay but I am giving it four stars because the last couple of times we have been there, it wasn't great. We were seated in the bar area and still had to ask for drink refills. The bacon Mac and cheese was okay but not very flavorful. The Boom Boom Shrimp was good but the batter consistently came off when you tried to pick it up with your fork. I have to admit that I've only had takeout from this bonefish Grill. It is part of a franchise and I love the bonefish Grill in Northern Virginia. The food that I received was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Chilean Seabass and filet mignon. Loved it. I don't know what it's like to visit the restaurant personally, but the takeout was lovely. My only complaint is the prices that I paid to get Uber eats to deliver were outrageous. So next time I will definitely come in or do the pickup myself. I'm from Baton Rouge, where the Bonefish Grill closed. While visiting my friend in South Carolina, I was SO excited to see that there was a Bonefish Grill in Charleston. We went early and there were very few people in the restaurant. The host did not tell us their name, but they did seat us immediately. It was a good minute before someone came to take our drink order, and that person never identified himself. When I got my check, I found out his name was Joe. My friend ordered the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and it wasn't brought out before her meal. Joe boxed it up and took it off of her check, but that's not the point. The service was poor. At one point I called Joe aside and said you need to pay more attention to us. And still, the service was lacking. I don't know that I'll be back. read more

Decided to take the wife on a date because her favorite is the Bang Bang Shrimp.. my issue was the breading which is usually on point with the amount of sauce they use to toss the shrimp was falling off like it had been sitting in the window for quite a bit. On a more positive note the brussel sprouts were amazing and my chicken was phenomenal. The upgrade for the bacon parmesan macaroni was not so great because it tasted no different than box macaroni from your local grocery store.
