The first thing you'll notice when looking at this place is the prices are really high, almost double of other places I've been. To be fair their tortas are huge. I ordered a pastor torta and a Dr. Pepper and it was $20, that didn't include fries. The service was okay, they mostly spoke Spanish. It's good amount of seats but we were all definitely close. As for the torta itself, it was very good, if it had been a bit cheaper I might have went 4 but they charge a premium price and the product wasn't premium. We got the humongous torta for like $19. It was HUGE! My husband and I shared it, and I still couldn't eat my half....I split it with my daughter. As an enthusiast of Mexican food I can strongly recommend this location to any advent foodie. I myself ordered the panamericana torta and upon first bite I knew the type of establishment this is. A hidden gem nestled in a small shopping center contains some of the best quality and authentic tortas that I have ever had. As for the others in my group they ordered the cubana torta, tapada, and tacos de lengua. Each pertaining to a individual experience of flavor and delight. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5/5 is due to the tacos not being up to the same quality as the tortas, but this place is known for their tortas so that's not really a surprise. Overall this place blew my expectations out the water and like I stated above some of the best tortas I've ever had!! I will most definitely be back. read more

La Hechizera used to be one of my favorites back when it first open its doors many years ago here in Arlington. It was a great place to get your Mexican Street food fix, and it upsets me their great decline in quality, service and food portions. Now everything is overpriced for half of what you used to get and it takes an average of 30 minutes to get your food. I'm writing this after 3 failed attempts to have them prove me wrong and same disappointing experience. Just hope they listen to their customers and improved back to what they once were. Came for flautas....glad we did! They were served with lettuce and avocado and sour cream and Mexican crumbly cheese on top. Your choice of Barbacoa, chicken or Tinga . They were made to order hot and crunchy. The salsas are spicy and go perfectly. My favorite is the red salsa it is very spicy. It's hard to find good flautas in Arlington so I'm glad we tried them. Once we arrived in Arlington for Wrestlemania we had some time to kill and found this cool little cantina full of wrestling fans and a staff that didn't speak English. Perfect! We all ordered beers and some food and settled down in the AC for a couple of hours. I had some Fajita Taco's and engaged the Daniel Bryan look alike out our table. Came looking for authentic Mexican tortas snd I was thoroughly displeased. The flavors are incredibly poor and bland, and the quality of the ingredients seems to be lacking. But those are not the main reasons the food Is so poor, it's the recipes. I tried 2 of their tortas, one that is simple and few in ingredients and one that is more complex in that it has more toppings and ingredients like bean, avocado, and cheese. The preparation of each of the ingredients is also incredibly basic and has no special touch to anything besides the ingredient just being there, in its nearly raw state. These taste almost worse than Tex mex, and remind me nothing of the food back home from more authentic border cities. However the ambiance and service were traditionally latin and these were definitely homely and comforting. The employees were kind efficient and understanding, and the restaurant is pretty much exactly what you would expect for a small Mexican torta shop. However these are supposed to be supplemental to the food, which is incredibly lacking. Will not be returning, will continue looking for better, more authentic and rich tortas. read more

This place is trash. The lady is rude I don't know why she's even there. They close down earlier than it says they do. Their food doesn't have flavor at all. We are not getting back again. Since we order the cashier was very rude and we dont get what we order. We ask for our table to be clean and she said to me the its was our fault to sit in this table and she would not clean the we need to move to another table. I ask for a quesadilla de queso con rajas de poblano and I dont recive that when i went to tell her she became more aggressive and lie saying they dont make that kind of quesadilla in there , I always eat that. It was okay. I've definitely had better, but I've also had far worse. The food really lacked flavor..everything kind of just tasted the same. Easily fixed with some hot sauce, but disappointing nonetheless. The service was friendly and prompt enough that you know the food was freshly made, which I appreciate. The staff was great, although I can see ordering being a bit of a struggle if you don't speak/understand at least some Spanish. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant before we attended the Cowboys game thanksgiving weekend. The bartender was awesome! Gracias!! He made us a drink " La Bandera "called which got us going for the game! They have a full bar and beer on draft. We went back the day after to have breakfast and micheladas! We ordered a panbazo which was great and una Torta Cubana & some tacos! everything was delicious! We are coming back here again when we go to Pre game for the game and eat!!
