I really loved the entire experience at La Justina! I am on a trip to Tijuana with my family and I'll be sure to come again. I ordered "La Burger" and it was amazing, just like how i asked for. They had this drink I believe it was called "La Jamaica" and it tasted great. The servers were nice and they didn't take too long to make our food. The place looked really nice too. My only problem was how expensive the burgers are. One burger was 325 Mexican pesos (Roughly $19 USD). Other than that, I loved my experience at La Justina and I'll make sure to come again.
La Justina was quite The Experience from the moment I walked into this restaurant to exiting. Our waiter, Santos, was very helpful and patient. The octopus was my favorite. The tortillas tasted so fresh. Tables were clean and the bathroom was tolerable. Loved the Christmas themed lighting. The salad dressing was so tasty. The popcorn hit the spot. And boy! The salmon was a real treat!!! Thank you so much Santos y La Justina Familia. Muchas gracias! Feliz Navidad!
We came here for Cocktails unfortunately not for the food. It looked delicious though. And I might come back for the food. The cocktails were very well prepared, strong, and tasty. I would recommend it to anyone. The atmosphere is also a great evening vibe.
Wow! What an entertaining cocktail experience! SUGGESTION: Come on a weekday so it's not busy, then sit at the amazing bar. We watched Jean Pierre work his cocktail magic. He did a wonderful job entertaining us! He is so passionate on the art of making cocktails. It's obvious he's extremely knowledgeable about his craft. We asked for specific requests based on flavor and aroma, and he customized our requests! I had a Smoked Old Fashioned w/ a dried orange, topped with mint. Jean Pierre burned some cherry wood, and filled the smoke in a jar. Then he poured the mixed cocktail into the jar. The smoke, along with the orange and mint gave a whole other experience drinking an Old Fashioned! We also had garlic-salted grasshoppers at the bar. The inside is decorated with a cool and hip vibe. We only sat at the bar, but at the rear has more dining area. They also have a pizza oven, but we didn't order any food, so cannot comment on that. The bar countertop is coated in a cool epoxy-resin covered with pennies! Way cool! The funky restroom in the back is walled with floor-to-ceiling mirrors! Entertaining experience at the bar with craft cocktails. I totally recommend when in Tijuana!
Didn't expect the decor to be so nice. It was cute just very little. I wanted to try a couple dishes but was informed that they were out of octopus which bummed us out. They were also out of the Tuna we wanted. Regardless, everything we had was delicious. Four of us ate and drank for about $100
I was excited to visit this reknowned spot in TJ. It was Monday so very slow and we were up for an appointment. The service was very attentive, it was quiet but I'm sure on weekend it would be much more lively. Cantina style decor with some cool nightclub features, mirrored bathroom etc. Food was quite inventive - I really would like to visit again or go to the Valle location because unfortunately one of the dishes didn't sit well and I couldn't enjoy the rest. Tuna tataki - delicious but a little cold. Fine line between fish being out too long and too cold for proper enjoyment. Great presentation, nice flavors. Corn with Epazote and cheese sauce - kinda like Mac and cheese with hominy. This was the problem. It was good, spicy, but something in the sauce was too heavy for me and ruined my appetite :( Cochinita Pibil sliders were yummy. Duck confit tostada - what a presentation! Came in a challis, crunchy pea shoots, berries, duck, sauces - all different flavors that really came together well. Cocktails - I had an albahaca (mezcal and basil) and another drink with Sandia (watermelon) and both vodka and mezcal. Both were delish, but light on alcohol. Two drinks would normally have me buzzed and I didn't feel them. It's definitely a splurge for a TJ neighborhood in terms of prices but I think it's worth it for the effort they clearly put in. I'd like to amend the stars in next visit and hope to do so!
Located on the main drag of Avenida Revolución in Tijuana, La Justina is a modern bar and restaurant offering a creative gastropub take on local dishes. Each table was started with a bag of seasoned popcorn, and sitting at the bar, I ordered the Hamburguesa de Pulpo (octopus burger), which came with several whole octopus tentacles nestled into a thick brioche bun, along with guacamole, pork rinds, and greens. Since this was a "burger," I was expecting more of a ground meat patty made of octopus but was pleasantly surprised that it came with whole tentacles! This was definitely a luxurious "burger" and well worth the price. On top of the delicious, creative food, the service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was colorful and modern.
Amazing cocktails! Definitely trendier, hipsterish and a cool place to hang out. We ate at Caesars before this and wanted to come for drinks. Ended up getting the octopus carpaccio. It was so good. Just the way I like it. My friend got the corn dish, she didn't like it. Then we got 2 cocktails each, the first my Mexican friend ordered us something in Spanish with mezcal and taste like some tamarind too. Had no idea but it was good. Second cocktail, basically the bartender made whatever he wanted and it was like a tiki drink. Really enjoyed that too. Came in a cute fish glass. Reminded me of a tiki bar. The other cocktails were theatrical with smoke, and tasted just as good as it looks. A tad bit pricier for the strip on food and drinks, but a must visit!
Finally got a chance to try this restaurant located right in downtown Tijuana. The place is very small with limited seating but gives you a cozy vibe. We order some drinks and waited for a few minutes before getting a table inside. The mezcal drinks we got were super tasty! As we sat down inside, we started to order a refreshing salad for appetizer. We got tacos de lengua and seared salmon for the main entrees. I love it that they gave me descriptions about each dish when they brought it out like the way how it was cooked and what was for garnish... etc My beef tongue was so tender and flavorful. The salmon was also delicious, not to mention how beautifully plated all the dishes are. The service was the best. They kept coming to our table and check on us and made sure I had enough tortilla to eat. Overall it was a great experience. I'd love to come back to eat more next time. Thanks!
Food is good, drinks are good, definitely not "TJ prices" at all. The servers are not bad, and the bar looks nice. My main gripe is that the place is super small and crammed inside. The back space is also tiny and there are no windows or views. I feel for being expensive, the interior experience should be improved. Some reviewers are posting photos of the Valle location (incorrectly) on this downtown location. So yes visit just be ready to be unimpressed with the interior.
Have you ever wanted to eat at a five star Michelin rated restaurant but didn't want to post for exorbitant prices and meager portions? We'll look no further eaters!! Found nestled in Revolucíon Street in TJ La Justina is a gem. The food is a combination of traditional Mexican fare but with a modern twist. We ordered a smattering of foods from blue fin tuna sashimi, bone marrow along with beef tongue. Everything was delicious the tongue words can't describe how incredible it was. If you didn't tell someone that it was tongue they would never know and only savor how incredibly soft it was. I know it's cliche to say that it melts in your mouth but it really does. The marrow was cut down the middle so you didn't have to fight it to get all that goodness out of it. It was sprinkled with a bit of sugar and was melted with a torch so you got this crunchy sweet compliment to the rich savory flavor of the marrow. The blue fin tuna was fresh and oh so delicious. It came with this tube of soy sauce and oil that you drizzle over the fish so it was pretty neat to put in as much or as little as you want. Staff is super friendly and sanitizing was truly impressive better than stateside. Totally price off the meal for five adults with drinks worked out to approximately $40/person with tip included. Can't beat it, can't beat the atmosphere and the hospitality of the staff. Highly recommend!

Came in here for late dinner &. We had an amazing time. We had like 3 rounds of drinks & all the food was Amazing, they do specialize in octopus so definitely have to be a fan of octopus. They're really big on their drinks so I would recommend giving them a few tries on their drinks read more

Omg amazing. Cross border by foot and take an $8 taxi directly to La Justina! We got mezcal shots, they came w roasted critters! Lol. Such a perfect Mexican experience. I highly recommend the kale & cheeses pizza, it's like 3 cheeses read more
Everything was delicious, service impeccable. Super clean and up to Covid standards! I will be back for the tostaditas de pulpo those were my favorite. And the mixologists at the bar were on point! Definitely order bartenders surprise and prepare to be wowed! read more

Great restaurant and bar on a busy street in Tijuana! Very nicely decorated with holiday lights and Xmas tree. We enjoyed the lengua beef tongue tacos with fresh tortillas. The pineapple cocktail comes out in a coconut cup and a dance smoke presentation. The bone marrow was delicious too! Highly recommend! read more

Our favorite restaurant in Tijuana. Super creative with excellent food and cocktails. The lengua tacos are the best I've ever had; a heaping serving of well seasoned, tender meat, with fresh hot tortillas. Jean-Pierre was our bartender both nights (we came back for drinks again the next evening). He created several cocktails for us right on the spot, which were perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The menu is creative, and on the leading edge of the hipster-Baja new cuisine. Brad B. suggested this spot for my friends and I when we were headed down to TJ late and just wanted a chill bar. Mila served us, and she was friggin' awesome. She told us we wanted to order the Bartender's Choice, and when a bartender tells you that how can you argue? She asked us some questions about what we like and then proceeded to take 15 minutes to craft us three cocktails. All three were amazing in both presentation and taste. Mila's English was amazing, too, and there was absolutely no language barrier. One of the other bartenders was rocking Two Door Cinema Club all night. I like that band, so the music was ok with me. Our three drinks came out to around US$5 each. Not bad for a really good cocktail, easily 2 or 3x the price in San Diego. I'll definitely come back to this spot. Gotta try the food, too! read more
INCREDIBLE! Stopped here for some quick appetizers and a couple cocktails after a tip from a local. Best advice I had gotten since I'd been in Tijuana. Their drink menu was extensive and impressive, but they really make their brand with their spin on several classics. I highly recommend the Labios Rojos. GAME CHANGER!! Absolutely one of the best crafted cocktails I've had in 2019 and I completely enjoyed it so much, I ordered a second one after a couple of sips. And the tuna. What can I say about this delectable plate. I don't think this tuna could've been any best. I am salivating just thinking about and I'm sure my dreams for a few nightswill be filled with the intoxicating aroma of this seared ahi tuna. Compliments to the chef, it was fantastic. Very receptive to tourists and had a low-key trendy vibe that you might see in downtown Los Angeles. Wasn't overly full and the service was very good. There is always something new to try at La Justina! First of all, there is valet parking! Or several parking lots around. The service is great with the best suggestions. I love their cocktails. I start with a Maria Antonieta in honor of my mom. And I do enjoy los Labios Rojo with the roasted chiles. This time we had the tortitas de cochinita pibil and they were exquisite with tons layered flavors. The best plate was the tuétano that I tried for the first time and it was out of this world. The variety of different flavors in a bone is just crazy then there ya caramelized sugar just like a brûlée! Delicious easy to end the week. read more

Strong drinks! Came here to catch up with a cousin and she suggested this bar. I loved it! Service was amazing, their suggestions were delicious. I loved that they have bartenders, errm, "mixologists", lol, that can craft up any type of drink. I only ordered one item off their menu which was a smoked fashion (old fashion w a twist) it was uh-may-zing! My cousin got a couple drinks off the menu, and I ended up doing bartenders choice the rest of the night (all whiskey) each drink was better than the next! Can't wait to come back read more

If you're in the main part of Tijuana on the avenue Revolucion, La Justina is a great restaurant to stop for food and drinks. It is a little hard to find because their sign is hidden but just look for the Hotel Lafayette and the restaurant is right underneath next to Yoshi Ramen. The food here is good! Tastes really fresh and homemade. However, the prices are a little steep since it's in a touristy part of town. Still inexpensive for a meal if you compare to the States though. My friend and I spent about $20 usd each for 2 cocktails (michelada and the pina a la revu cocktail), an appetizer (the pulpo (octopus) tostadas), and the tacos de lengua (beef tongue tacos). The food was so delicious! The octopus was so tender, the tostada was crispy, the pickled onions and lime juice added a burst of acidity and brightness to cut the fattiness and they had two types of creams on top- a green one and a black one. I think the green one was an avocado type of cream and the black one was a charcoal mayonnaise. The lengua was amazing as well. It comes with a cute little pot of warm fresh corn tortillas. The lengua was equally tender and juicy and they served it with some sliced radishes and pineapple. The portion was pretty big so I'm glad my friend and I shared. We both enjoyed the elevated fusion Mexican food and it was a nice restaurant to sit and eat after a full day of walking. The restaurant got pretty busy by the time we were finished eating so you know it's a good place to try! read more

The service here is amazing, they really take the time to explain what's on the menu and what you decide to order. Everything is very clean, your napkins and utensils come in clean wrapped justina packages. The drinks and food are both amazing, definitely coming back for more! read more
