FIRST TIME TASTE!!! The office was restless and needed a late afternoon pick-me-up to (hopefully) get us driven and focused. We placed an online order and a coworker went to pick it all up. I perused their website carefully so as to make my first tasting impression a promising one and decided on a Strawberry Cloud Latte. My review is based on what I have experienced myself and with their website and on my beverage solely. Their website is very bright and pretty. Loved the language of their story. How yellow is more than just a color to them. And I couldn't agree more!!! Whoever wrote the text on this site has my heart. This business aims to be kind and to be a bright light, however brief, in someone's day. I love this. They also have a reputation of hiring foster kids that age out of the system. Their stores, although similar in color scheme only, looks different from one location to another. The one at La Cantera in SATX is beautiful in its modern chic with large crystal-like chandeliers and white LED backlighting. On to my drink... I ordered the Strawberry Cloud Latte made with soy. It's an espresso (or Matcha) beverage with a strawberry flavored cold foam. Their ice cubes are a bit large and don't fit through the sippy cup lid until it's been given time to melt down. Meh. And my cold foam was not as fluffy as to be likened to a cloud by any means. But the coffee was nice and I'm so glad they had soy! Other milks include almond, nonfat, whole, oat, coconut, half n half and heavy cream. Finally a line that wasn't insanely long that I can tolerate waiting in with my toddler! GREAT! Probably waited at most maybe, 10 minutes! I got the LaLa Latte with Almond Milk and got my friend the World's Best Vanilla Latte. Both drinks were good, but oooof they were pricey! I guess we're in the day and age where you'll be definitely spending at least $6 for a ice latte of some kind and add some other milk other than whole milk, add in that dollar, weeeee! Service: very nice and attentive! They are also known for hiring foster kids that apparently age out of their system which is very sweet gesture in helping them out in some way into society. Parking: shared with the whole la cantera mall, not too bad during the weekdays, weekends can be a little crazy, but there is always parking somewhere! It's exciting to finally have a La La Land in San Antonio. I've visited the Houston locations before, but the coffee there hasn't always been consistent. So far, this location hasn't disappointed. The layout can feel a bit cramped up front since the register is near the entrance while most of the seating is in the back. I usually go between 9-10 am, when there's little to no line. Closer to lunch or later in the afternoon, though, it gets significantly busier, sometimes with lines stretching outside to the road. Thankfully, drink turnaround is pretty quick. There's a decent amount of seating, but it can get loud if you're trying to get some work done or study. My go-to drinks are the La La Latte and the Strawberry Latte, and I enjoy trying their seasonal flavors. I don't usually like overly sweet drinks, and theirs do lean on the sweeter side, so I sometimes treat it more as a dessert than a coffee stop. If I'm in the mood for something stronger, I'll ask for an extra shot. While it's a bit pricier than other coffee shops, it's worth it as an occasional treat. read more

I stopped by this San Antonio La La Land recently (last weekend 7/5/26), and it absolutely lived up to the other locations I've been to...the pastel, cheerful, French decor was spot on and the service was incredibly warm. I ordered the French toast latte, which was perfectly sweet and delicious, paired with the maka toast. The toast is topped with almond butter, banana, strawberries, blueberries, honey, and hemp seeds, and every bite was incredible. This place is very poorly managed. We have been twice and it takes about 30 min to get one drink after ordering. It appears the employees are unorganized or just don't know what they are doing. Since this became a viral trend we decided that we needed to try it out! There is typically a line out the door but we tried to get there early and luckily we didn't have to wait. The service from the employees was good, not too much interaction except the cashier. The place is cute, but not much seating inside or outside so if it's busy that is a challenge. Unfortunately we were not able to get seating inside for the four of us and had to wipe tables and chairs down outside. Finally made it to La La Land in San Antonio--and now I see the hype. It had only been open a few months when we went, so there was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. We all ordered what I think was the Banana Cloud (or Banana something ), and it was absolutely amazing. I added an extra shot of espresso since those drinks can lean more milkshake than coffee--and that was definitely the right move. I also had a croissant, and everything was just chef's kiss. The vibe is super cute, just like the Heights location in Houston. The staff was so sweet--complimenting everyone at the register and even saying "I love you" as you leave, which was such a fun, feel-good touch. It tastes like a milkshake. I am sure that I could have modified the drink to make it less caloric, but since they were super busy, I didn't even want to try to do so when I ordered. I really like the banana cloud did some research, and was surprised to learn that La La Land was created to support those transitioning out of the foster care system with mentorship, jobs, and other support services. It was not advertised at the location and is not something that they openly use in marketing. Would definitely recommend coming to this coffee shop. Good vibes here. Will be back soon. I will say it was packed and super hectic which was very overwhelming and it was hard to enjoy the "experience". There's only "pay to park" but I took a chance and didn't pay because I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They have an app where you can order ahead!! The wait is a good 45 mins! Staff is friendly and they are doing 50% off drinks if you are signed up on the app. They love birthdays and will make you feel loved. The staff all had smiles on their faces. Be sure to know what you want cause once you get inside it's fast paced and quick. They are doing what they can to get people in and out. I love this place so much! Fair warning though. Since it's new to La Cantera Apple Maps doesn't really direct you to this place. And the mall directory doesn't either. The best way to get there is to keep walking past PF Changes. Just keep going straight. Then there's yellow umbrellas. That's not La La Land. It's a pizza place. But you're on the right track. Go across the street and there it is to the left. It was a little hard to find and I had to ask for help. Then someone asked me for directions when I was walking back. So hopefully this helps. So excited to have another coffee option at La cantera! This location is always extremely busy but they move the line as fast as they can. I love how friendly all the baristas are as well. I've come a couple of times already, during the holiday season I ordered the s'mores latte a few times and was addicted to it. So bummed it's not always on the menu. I just tried the lululemon chai collab and felt disappointed with that item. My sister and I ordered the chai squared (chai latte with chai cold foam) I got mine and it really didn't taste like chai more like milk with some spice which was super disappointing. My sister got hers and it was way too sweet the first time and the second time was better but still a bit sweet so there wasn't consistency in that drink. I had already waited for around 40 minutes between waiting to order/getting my drink made so I just took the L and left disappointed in my drink. The matcha and coffees are more consisting and are what I would order. If you don't like overly sweet coffee I also suggest to ask for one less pump of sweetness since their drinks are on the sweeter side. read more

Cute new coffee shop so I had to try it with my friend! The space itself is cute - lots of seating inside and outside. They have some cute merch so I got me one of their trucker hats! I ordered the honey strawberry toast, strawberry cloud drink and the matcha chai latte. They were all good but the matcha chai wasn't my fave - it wasn't bad, but for my taste, I felt like it was missing something. We got there around 11:30am on a Sunday and the line wasn't long to order, but so many people were waiting for drinks so we had to wait for a little which wasn't too bad. The lines are always long which I suppose is from the online hype and area choice combination. The toast... $12 and I was a bit confused and disappointed. It was prepared differently from all the photos I've seen on yelp and was burnt. The cheese was almost like a cream cheese but placed on bottom then the avocado. Not sure why? I did return after this visit because I had a half off coffee coupon on my rewards and they couldn't figure out how to use it but honored it anyways. I had such an amazing experience at La La Land, and I really have to take a moment to recognize Sherien because she truly made our visit unforgettable. She created such a warm and inviting environment that made us feel comfortable and excited to be there. Throughout our entire visit, she took such great care of us and paid attention to every little detail. It didn't feel like typical customer service, it felt personal, like she genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. That kind of effort is rare and it definitely does not go unnoticed. Went on a Saturday about 4 pm- line long and out the door. The outside is super inviting and the inside seems calm. The pastries looked pretty good but I passed because it was all so much sugar. I got a lala latte with one shot and it was still sooo sweet. I can see the hype- it's fun and hip- and all the things however I don't think I will return. I visited a location in Dallas a couple years ago and was excited to see there was a location in San Antonio. They were pretty busy but super friendly and efficient. The kids avo toast was delicious. At the location in Dallas I got the Queen Avocado Toast and it was pretty good so I expected the same thing. I had to leave while I was waiting for the toast and told the staff that I'd be right back. Well when I returned in about 5 minutes my toast still wasn't done. They informed me that it was lost in their system and that it would be right out. I sat down and waited and they delivered my avocado toast right to me along with a $5 gift card for my wait. At the front, they had a wheel to spin for prizes including hats, plastic cups, magnets, keychains, La La Land gift cards, and $50 Lululemon gift cards. Got lucky with a red hat! Yes! As a coffee lover I felt as if I was in La La Land! I waited in line for over 40 minutes to get in to the south opening. I was delighted by the clean aesthetics of the building the experience and the great taste of the coffee and pastry. Inside the establishment is decorated with soft it clean aesthetics with a beautiful yellow palette. They have plenty of merchandise and coffee beans for sale. They have apple seating area, but it is quite loud so don't expect to go there to study or work. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and an almond croissant. My total price was nine dollars and that was 50% off today so the prices are expensive but it was one of the best lattes I have had. It was the perfect blend of bitter, sweet and salty, and the almond croissant was surprisingly light and not overpowering sweet. Since this place is at La Cantera, I probably won't go too many times unless I'm going shopping in the area but they are open at 7 AM which is a plus you can get there before the crowd gets there the service was amazing, courteous, and swift, but the prices were up there I definitely I definitely will be back.
