It's not what it used to be. This place used to be great but the last few times the food has been disappointing. The pizza was so undercooked and greasy the topping slide off and we had to cook it longer or eat it with a knife and fork. The meatloaf was a tiny piece probably 3 inches by 2 inches hidden under a bunch of several cups of sauce and cheese. I gave up trying to find the pasta and gave it to the dog on top of his dry food. Meh, LA Lasagna has always been that affordable, go-to catering spot for CSUN events that offered a good variety but not necessarily a good tasting variety. Lasagnas were decent, nothing special to them. There was never enough cheese or meat. The garlic bread was always dried, minimal garlic, stale, just too much bread and not enough flavor. We order quite frequently for delivery. I normally have the meat & cheese lasagna while my husband prefers the meatiness of the all meat lasagna! My daughter loves their eggplant parmesan. Now, to be fair, when my family was younger and I had more energy, these were my family's special request go to meals. I am no longer young and work too hard! I appreciate having a local non-chain restaurant that has no problem with making and deletions or substitutions without upcharging an arm and a leg! I have not yet had their pizza so cannot comment. RATING: 3.5 STARS. This was my first time going to their new location (second visit overall). I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my bf got the spaghetti w/meatballs and an all cheese pizza. On the counter we noticed a flyer for $5 off $25 so we added a small dinner salad. The Alfredo was good, with a generous portion of chicken. The chicken was crusted and lacked many large chunks of meat. For $9.99 + garlic bread, I still think it was a good deal. The spaghetti and meatballs was pretty good as well. I fear large meatballs that tend to be dry, but this one was great. The salad wasn't anything special so nothing really to say about that. The bread that they use for garlic bread has sesame seeds on too...felt a little dry eating the top half. Lastly, the cheese pizza was greasy. The crust and dough had a good consistency, but I didn't want to eat it because of all the grease from the cheese on top. The cashier was friendly and the place is a lot cleaner looking then the old location across the street. Came here for the first time with the fam after craving some lasagna and didn't have the time to make it of course. Convenient location sharing the same lot as Burger King-- plenty of parking. After a kind greeting, we decided to order 2 meat lasagna combos that come with garlic bread and salad, a side of eggplant parm, hot wings and pizza for the kids. I must say that I'm pretty impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The only downside is that it felt a little too hot in the restaurant, maybe add more fans or have the a/c up a little more lol. But even so, I'll return in the future when I feel like a lasagna quickie :) read more

Ditto their garlic bread on their Italian bread with sesame seeds, the same bread they make their awesome meatball with. The chicken alfredo the chicken was delicious, nice breaded chicken, I wasn't expecting it to be breaded thought it would be regular chicken breast but it wasn't bad, but the alfredo the dish overall was okay, I didn't like it too much it was lacking flavor without the chicken the noodles didn't taste right it was very heavy and creamy but lacked flavor. The cheese ravioli on the other hand was my favorite by far the yummy cheese and the delicious marinara sauce, it's hard to find good sauce but this one was definitely good. I would NEVER order the zucchini ever it was soggy and too thin it was horrible not sure if it got soggy from being to go or whatever but they were just cut too thin and needed a pick me upper. I thought with Lasagna in the name it would be an italian restaurant, its a pizza place. Fast food. We like Uncle Ernies salad way better, this was just a run of the mill garden salad. I rang up LA Lasagne and was greeted with a helpful voice on the other end of the phone. I've seen their sign for many years so they must be doing something right. We ordered up a pizza, lasagna and salad. They delivered within 30 minutes and we dove in. The pizza had a great taste to it and the lasagna was super good. The salad was fresh with many different vegetables and the Italian dressing was very good. All in all we are very happy and will definitely order up some grub from them again! And the best part? The only reason why I'm giving them three stars is because my fettuccine Alfredo tasted way TOO MUCH like white wine. Completely ruined his meal!!! 2ndly, on what planet is it ok for the toppings to overpower the pizza to this extreme? Have you guys even tried your own pizza? Are you unaware of how thin it is and how it is not equipped with enough breading to withstand this type of weight?? It was overflowing with so many veggies (some incredibly large) and I blame that as to why the entire pizza was so unbelievably soggy, borderline wet, by the time we received it!!
